Could be a nice screen saver however I only recieved a trial version from them. Email them twice with no response. I think they are terrible at customer service. Will not purchase anything from them until they acknowledge my emails and concerns.

Thank you GAOTD team. I downloaded this while it was the give away and have really enjoyed it. It works beautifully, the chimes and ticking are authentic. My husband got one too for his computer. We are both pleased with it. Uses very few resources and is a converstaion piece. The best part is it is FREE and there are no ads or nag screens attached!!

If your getting a prompt to buy the screensaver then you didnt activate it correctly. There is a readme file in EVEY download with plain instructions on how to activate and install the programs offered here and if you pay attention and actually READ them and follow those instructions as stated, it activates and installs beautifully.

LindaD, I reckon that Morgan Hill realised that after he bothered to read the 'readme.txt' file that is attached to this and every single other file on here.
It never fails to amaze me how many whine about demo files when they haven't even got the aptitude to realise that readme.txt, funnily enough, needs to be read LMAO
What next? "What's a zip?" :(

Morgan Hill, these aren't demo versions, they are the full version.

You need to click on the "Activate.exe" icon before you install the screensaver. After you click on the activate.exe icon and it connects to the net, it's registered. Then you use the setup.exe icon to install the screensaver.

Thank you :) I really liked the other 2 screensavers that I got (Japanese Garden and Ancient Castle). This one is very nice too! Thanks :)

These are more like mini movies than they are screensavers, and it's nice to just sit and watch it. TBH I use XP Pro and have the 3D Bubbles for Vista on my computer and I use that as my primary screensaver, but I really enjoy these 3D ones because I do 3D graphics and can appreciate the time and talent that goes into making such a lengthy animation. I think it's very nice that they are giving these away for FREE. Lots of time was spent making them and all they are seeking is a thank you.

I'm having trouble with this on my Vista notebook (64-bit). I've installed dozen of other programs offered here and so I don't know why this is not working.

It WILL install, but then even after activating it (which, again I've done on many programs offered here in the past), and the screen saver comes on, after about a minute late it says it is not registered.

This is a nice screensaver, but not worth the cost, so unless someone has a suggestion I'll just do without.

BTW, thanks for GOTD for doing this and for those who note freeware versions of other programs when something is posted.

I just happened by your site and I gotta say it, you should stop giving stuff away to such an ungrateful bunch. It never ceases to amaze me at what type of people are actually living among me. All you whiners need Jesus in your life and then you will begin to see the beauty in EVERYTHING! Trust me, Heaven is going to be so much nicer than hell, and eternal life is a really long time.

I think I'll stop by everyday, early, and give a quick devotional message. Maybe it could change your lives - I know it would! Have a wonderful day. Oh, and thank you to whoever you are that has such a giving a heart. Although I don't remember what, I got one thing from here not too long ago, so thanks!

i just love it when i look at the title of the free giveaway and it says "screensaver"...
man, all those complaints i will be able to read in the comments section.
yap, first thing i do when its a screensaver is rush to the comments section to see how many people got upset because it was a screensaver :)

putting aside the whole question of whether they are of any use or not, some of them are definitly beautiful pieces of art.

i would suggest to GAOTD, that to avoid all these complaints, that instead of posting a screensaver and stating that it is a "screensaver", that they start putting them up as "meditation software", because thats exactly what i do with the good ones, just look at them and admire them and float awaaaaayyyyy......

#133, I have a better idea. GOTD should have a spin-off website called "Free Whiner of the Day". Oh wait, nobody wants a whiner, even for free. On the associated forum, there could be suggested uses for whiners, such as: doormat, target practice, boat anchor....

#129, the major labels don't offer anything here because they don't need to. Contrary to the views of the arrogant, selfish whiners, this website doesn't exist to give trolls something for nothing. It's a way for lesser-known software vendors to make people aware of their products in the hopes of obtaining future sales from positive word-of-mouth and product upgrades, and to obtain feedback on ways to improve their products (not the "I haven't even tried this", nor the "I hate products of this type--only give me free products of great value that are what I, personally, want").

Wow!!! The anti-complainers are in rare form today. Downright hostile. Thanks #79. You are absolutely correct. Two "STOP WHINING"s for every "THIS SUCKS". Both are worthless.
#49(wrinkles) and #83(vella) are just plain mistaken.
#49: "Can you imagine the time and effort required to get software company’s to donate a programe for FREE distribution? Not just now and then but EVERY day."
#83: "I think you should all be grateful for what you already have and for the fine job GAOTD does and to the companies who dont have to but do share their products for free for a day."
Software developers DO NOT donate their titles for free. GAOTD pays the developers for the distribution license. Here's a quote from GAOTD's "about" page:
"We will pay the software publisher for the Giveaway license, and our visitors will only receive those after downloading a special verification program and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, thus protecting software publishers’ interests and making our initiative beneficial for both clients and publishing companies."
I don't know what kind of price the software companies are getting from GAOTD, but that's not the point. The point is they're not just giving it away out of the goodness of their collective hearts. Please people, a poorly constructed argument is so much more irritating than some useless complaint.
As I've stated in past posts, I really do like this site. I enjoy checking in once a day, like a lot of you, to see what's on offer. It's a pretty interesting concept and the site's following seems to be steadily growing. Let's just try to keep the pissing contests to a minimum.
Thanks GAOTD, and thanks to those who leave useful posts (I know this isn't one of them)
Sorry for the ramble.

Can you believe --- 131 comments on a screensaver? (And 7 hours still to go!) Obviously the GOTD team knows what they are doing - I don't know how many visits it takes to get 131 people to take the time to comment, but I would guess a lot. So if puttng up a screensaver generates this many "hits" I'd say they are right on the money. What this site needs is one of those little counter thingies to record # of visits - then we could see how the screensavers do. Because anyone who visits the site with any sort of regularity knows that the screensavers usually hit on Saturday, right?

As for the clock - I think it's a great clock - of course it would be a better clock if it told the right time, but then you can't have everything, can you? (OK the clock isn't really wrong; my computer just refuses to accept the concept of DST!) See, all you screensaver-haters, we all have our little burdens to bear ...

And #49:
No, no, no! The last thing we need is for all the whiners to "go forth and multiply!!!" Talk about a bad idea ... Whew!

Nice screensaver! I really don't use them because it's so much more energy efficient to have your computer go into sleep mode, but the clock is very nice, and their other screensavers are even better. I may actually keep this on my computer, as opposed to the Japanese 3D screensaver a couple days ago which was pretty lousy.

OK, I've got something to say to all of you whose week, month, year has been ruined by this free screen saver. Just wait until, like me, you're told you have stage four cancer. It puts what "ruins" your time into perspective. And to #29, Fungus Foot or whatever, YEAH, some of us DO like these 3D sreensavers. I sometimes sit and watch them to relax between chemotherapy courses, when I'm not doing so well. So don't tell GOTD NOBODY wants them! I DO! There were many apps offered here that I didn't want, but did I get on here and say NOBODY wants this, because I don't, and therefore EVERYONE should be denied getting it? NO. Think before you type, and stop being so self absorbed and selfish!

I've yet to see a "major" software label offer anything here...

why is that?

Garage bands are great.. but going to see a major band once in awhile is nice....
( for the unenlightened, I just used a metaphor )

lots of bottom feeding going on here.

I come here, I look, I comment sometimes, I download something once in awhile and if it's not filthy with Malware, I might even install it.

for those few goodies, I offer my thanks...

I just wonder if we're ever going to see anything from major labels like Sierra, etc.

please, GAOTD gives us free software, and many people really like the screensavers. I'm normally no fan at all of these screensavers, they slow my system. And when I attempt to continue from the screensaver, then my computer freezes up.

Yet this one I find very good, a nice little screensaver which is certainly a head turner. Thankfully this one only slows down my system for 3-4 seconds after returning from it. Which is fine as this allows me a few seconds the remember where I was.

Most screensavers maybe be bad, but don't knock this one until you've tried it.
