Like I can surely relate to the particular challenges with the tree service community, I've discovered it to be a lot more difficult than anticipated to find original and insightful websites.Tree trimming Austin

I got this copy of WinX Blu ray decrypter on giveaway of the day.
it only does 2 things and it does them fantastically well and quickly.
i have handbrake and anydvd rippers and other converters but had to give this one a shot. i had just bought Limitless blu ray and wanted to back it up. i made the title only in 14 mins or so. i did a rip to iso on my normal method on anydvd which took nearly 45mins. i have a fast new computer i made myself but was still amazed at how well it did the job and played without any issues on power dvd 10ultra , WMP , vlc, kmp, and the latest medial player classic. all perfectly sharp and with master hd audio which was smooth as can be. no hitches and in 2 languages, if i wanted french...i dont but it was perfect.

Having now tried this programme out, I can say it is certainly useful, although it is a bit of a "one-trick pony". I just "tweaked" some pictures of Norway (quite a beautiful country -- WHEN it is sunny!) taken when it was cloudy-bright -- NOT the best weather to get really good, commercial, photos.

I don't know if I would say this programme has "saved" them, and made them more commercial, but the few that I tested certainly look better -- good enough to send to relatives, anyway. So I would say, although I have quite a few other photo-editing programmes (including, now PhotoPerfect -- thanks for the tip, Fubar #35!) and an early version of ACDSee, which I find invaluable, that this is probably worth downloading -- depending on what else you have.

As regards #37 Promytius, "It overwrites files, not renaming them, a great way to forever lose the original" -- you can simply add an "A" after the original filename that comes up, and then save. THAT will protect your original. Just hitting "Return" will certainly dispose of your original -- so I would suggest you should never do that.

As regards the RRP -- I would say US$10 is about right.

But the programme has one really big lack -- that of a UNdo-REdo button. This is vital, and PixelApp really must provide this for their next version. BIGGER "Before" and "After" pictures would be very helpful too!

The only magic with this program is that, Win7 64-bit do not like the program ! I got the "0x8007000B" too and did try to solve the problem via MS tech homepage, but it didn´t change anything.

PixelApp Studio own homepage isn´t updated since 2010, so why should I think that the software is able to handle Win7 64-bit ?
They don´t write anything about the OS it will work with, so I guess that the answer is "blowing in the wind" !

Interesting. I just downloaded the trial version from the website, after having so much trouble trying to get the program to work on my Win 7 x64 SP-1 Laptop. My comments about it were deleted by the mods, as usual, but I decided to download the trial version, just to see if the problems were the same. First the program is not that sickly green color, its light gray. You can load and save pictures in formats other than just jpg. The interface is smaller and neater in appearance, AND IT WORKS JUST FINE. So the version we got was doctored up, to not offer too much, and in the process, they messed the program up. Will never ever recommend this company to any one, or buy their products!!!

Downloaded, installed, registered without incident. Icon on desktop.
Loaded a medium sized jpg picture, and got error upon trying to apply color improvements. Does not work on batch photo adding. Does not work on loading a small sized photo. Does not work adding photo with any other extensions. Tried running as Administrator, and rebooted. No difference. Program does not work. A waste of time.
DELETED! - Win 7_64, SP1.

I had zero problems installing onto Win2K3.

Useful as a simple quick-and-dirty picture chroma adjust. The utility allows you to compare before and after by holding the mouse button over picture windows to swap between the new and the old version. Great way to compare and to decide whether to increase or decrease the chroma adjust levels.

But WHY-O-WHY did the developer create a nasty non-standard window for the application devoid of a menu bar? Worse even, it looks different depending on your screen resolution and dpi settings. TIP TO DEVELOPER: Spend your time improving your feature set in the utility you are coding. Don't use your time to play with the window wrapper that serves no purpose whatsoever. It is not a useful displacement activity.

Installed On: Windows Vista Home Premium, Dell 530 computer with 2 GB RAM:

ISSUES: I had one small problem installing (the NEW release) in that it said something about "The (installer) has insufficient privileges to install..." even though I had run SETUP as an Admin.

SOLUTION: The solution was to run the MLF.MSI file separately. There are two files, Setup.exe and MLF.MSI in the install directory. Right-click on mlf.msi and choosing "INSTALL" from the context menu was successful for me, and installed it properly.

EVALUATION: It is a simple, basic program that does what it says it will and nothing more. This would be great for inexperienced users or one who do not have the time, need, or ambition to learn a more complex program on the order of Picasa or the other similar programs.

I don't know if this will help or not... There are different approaches you can use when editing images, for example you might try to edit an image to make it look more like what the lens actually saw, or maybe the opposite, you might alter the image to make a point, create an impression. I think Magic Landscape Filter belongs in that 2nd, where the photo or image you took was only a starting point, a sort of base to build your project on, though applied in [usually very] limited amounts this sort of filtering can make most images stand out a bit from the crowd. [I most often use a similar sort of technique on a separate layer in P/Shop, focused more on certain colors, but then only use a *Tiny* bit of it in the overall mix (almost transparent).]

This sort of enhancing *usually* doesn't do well with portraits IMHO unless you really crank it up to make your image more art. For a group photo it'd depend on the background of course, but I think you might create something pretty dramatic for something like a PR shot. I believe you can usually get away with pumping up a landscape OTOH, because unlike shots of people, our brains don't object as strongly, thinking that's not what people look like. You do still have to be careful though, because while an image may look really great on 1st impression, higher levels of drama [contrast, saturation etc.] can also make you feel tired sooner, so that sort of an image doesn't always do well as a print on the living room or office wall, or as Windows wallpaper.

One of the improvement requests states,” Make this portable so that I can save on system resources and prevent clutter in the programs folder.”
What in God's name has system resources or clutter in the programs folder got to do with portability?
Portability means that the registry is generally untouched by the installation program, hence it is not necessary to carry the registry settings when moving or copying the program to a new place for the program to function.
Windows NT hammers the registry on a continual basis, when it attempts to run a protected program it more often than not checks for the registration information in the registry, it only needs to do this once. I hardly see this as causing much problem to system resource.

I really like this program! It is a definite thumbs up for me. I have used a lot of free programs like GIMP, etc., (and I do mean a lot), and at least for the few test photos I have tried, this little program is giving amazingly great results! A definite "keeper" to add to my photo software bag of tricks. Perhaps if I wasn't so cheap and bought photoshop, I wouldn't think it was so great, (don't know), but seriously, I can't see why so many people are bashing it here. It is painless and fast to try out. There are very few options, which I consider a plus.

My complaint is that it needs to be able to load/save in a variety of formats, not just jpeg. The problem with jpeg is that it is "lossy"; every time the image is re-saved to disk it will degrade a bit. This is not generally a problem for a simple touch-up, but as part of my "bag-of-tricks", I want to use this program along with others, which could require several re-saves along the way. The image quality won't hold up if more than 2 or 3 jpeg saves are required along the way.

I agree with the majority of commentators that this program isn't worth the asking price for what little it actually does, which is something that most image editors are already able to do (even most freeware and open-source image editors have brightness and chroma saturation adjustments in their "toolkits").

The install process is cumbersome and confusing, even to me (I've been working with PCs since 1987!), so I can only imagine the consternation many people with less experience are feeling. Essentially you have to first install the installer, and then run the resulting installer - which doesn't "clean up after itself," and leaves the installer program intact in its folder on the root of C: drive (if the default install directory is chosen). As a result, the installation directory must be removed manually, which is something that should either be mentioned in the readme file or addressed in the code of the installer itself.

Add to that the total lack of any menus and/or the lack of ability to change the "look and feel" of the program (the fluorescent pea-green "skin" just doesn't trip my trigger either) leaves me wondering just exactly what makes this software worth anywhere near the asking price (today's giveaway notwithstanding)?

Thanks for the freebie, but I sincerely hope that the publishers take all of these comments to heart and go back to the drawing board with this program - it's really "not ready for prime time" as it's being presented here.

I get the same error as some others have also experienced. It is Exception from HRRESULT: 0x8007000B when I try to load a picture. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram. For those who require a befor/after option, simply clicking on the picture after processing seems to show the before pic.
I'd be surprised if any automated tool could ever produce consistantly good results.

This is a quick image enhancer for your photos with bad contrast/brightness/saturation, and you can convert them in a bulk large quantity within a short span of time.

GAOTD had earlier hosted Magic Skin Filter (MSF) from the same developers, and I find both the softwares quite similar... I would suggest that these two softwares(Magic Skin Filter and Magic Landscape Filter) be merged into a single software.

I would recommend this software for a newbie with limited knowledge about photography or image processing, but geeks would find GIMP and Photoshop a bit more interesting.

Thanks to the developers for this quick fix software for photos shot under poor illumination, and to the conversion speed under batch mode.

As a longtime PS CS2 user, I found this program disappointing. First, the download doesn't install the program, it installs an install .msi and setup prg. Then it installs if you run the Second setup. Then, if you try a bATCH COMMAND IT INSISTS YOU REGISTER, NPO PROBLEM, AND THAT WENT WELL. however, the batch command takes an entire directory and converts all the files, no editing, no control. Also no editing on creating the effect on any selected files. Oh, and it dumps Everything to the desktop - I see no way to change this! Stupid. It overwrites files, not renaming them, a great way to forever lose the original. Now about the effects - what effects? It's just a blown out contrast setting, just before it completely blows out to 8 colors. Brightness/contrast controls in PS are better, simply because they are controls, which you need, you need a preview to SEE what you will be doing!
2 thumbs down on this one, will not be keeping it - it doesn't even interface with other graphic programs! How useless is that?

Really not much worth downloading here after reading comments. Looked at their website and seems like they are marketing little pieces of other great image editing products that we regularly see at GAOTD. Zoner Photo Studio 13 was a GAOTD a few weeks back that I think does this and so much more. Why install a dozen good programs when you can, for less money in the long run, simply install one comprehensive program. Thanks GAOTD and Pixelapp

Here are the Magic Landscape Filter examples from their website processed with PhotoPerfect i²e, which really does landscape optimization. I'm sure that the free version only has automatic optimization, but it's usually necessary to do a small amount of tweaking. Here are the i²e sliders and options available in the full version. For most images, I only backed off on the sharpness and kept the other automatic settings. Here is PhotoPerfect's optimization of their example 1, I backed off on the sharpness some. I thought that the clouds looked pretty good in that one, but I didn't like the colors of the flowers and solar panels, so here I turned off color correction and backed off of sharpness even more. Here are their examples 2, 3, 4, and 5 processed with PhotoPerfect. I left the sharpness up to its automatic setting on the buildings to bring out their detail. On the village view I compromised on the sharpness, higher is generally better for architecture but lower is generally better for vegetation. You can compare these images to their results. Of course, larger pictures would have been better. No doubt, a PhotoShop expert could do anything, but PhotoPerfect yields a good result easily for most images.

well, in introduction it gives out that would be nice and probably would useful program even to company-use (buyable version that is, this version is only for personal use), as it states to be for "pro's".
however, it do not work.
only thing it does is crash 100% every time when tries to use it - no matter do i load bmp, jpg or what ever.

and this is on win7 platform.

useless program, when it haven't done to work on nowadays platforms.

uninstall is the key to this one. only thing it does properly.

OK, I gave it a try and why, it was a lot of work for some reason getting it to install. Registration, OUCH ! I added it to my "shortkeys" program by cut and paste and they typed in the code I used to auto type on the registration code line. I already tried cut and paste, c/p did not work. Code tooooo much trouble install to much problem and program does little!!!

Then tried the program,,, it is a one shot photo edit, Chroma/brightness. So, most any simple edit will do a lot more. My grandma might like it, but she has been dead for 50 years and so I declare the program as dead. Sorry I wasted time with it. I am one to excuse program short comings ,,, no excuse for this one. Really negative.

This program looks OK.Installed and activated without any trouble.Tried with 10 landscape pictures-works fine, you can change only chroma or brightness, but you can do the same with load of programs.
Chroma for my taste is too much even with low volume-pictures look pretty unreal-collored,but you could do the deffect to effect;-)
So,I am gonna keep it,because I like photography,I have a great deal of pictures and someday I could use it.

Hm, so there are photographers still using reversal/slide film? Dont think so. I stopped in 1998!
So does it reproduce the characteristics of each slide film? Agfa was a bit on the green side, Kodak a bit on the red side.
More colourful and more vivid sounds unnatural to me and nothing whatever to do with reversal film, and so I will pass on this software as the author is taking nonsense.

Sure it duplicates what most picture editors can do but it is quick, easy, and the increased saturation results are pleasant; at least to my eye.

Would I buy this? Nope, and I cannot believe most would. Will I use it? Yep.

Getting this installed and registered is the nearest thing I've ever seen to a software maze.
When eventually done and the program run a very insipid interface appears, fortunately the job it does on photographs is considerably better. It does a very nice job of increasing the saturation of the colours in a balanced manner, it also allows the brightness to be controlled, and sadly that is all it does for $20, hardly enough. If they included the Magic Skin Filter also, it would be possibly worth this price. More and more recently companies seem to be splitting the functions of a program into individual programs, and then selling them as an inflated price. File recovery programs being a prime example, the only time a file type matters is when it's used as it is exactly the same structurally on the disk

Weird install, RAR file extracted to a folder in C:/ for later install - not well thought out. When eventually loaded it refused to work. Error reporting as described by others and only Ctrl-Alt-Del got me out of it! I'm wondering if the filters and manual settings in PaintShopPro, IrfanView and others would do the same job anyway?

Useless but as it was free - who cares. I won't be buying it!

Do you really want to trust a program that needs to run as administrator just to change the chroma of your pictures?

No thanks!

I finally got it to install with the second download only to find that now the licence key is invalid. Not good guys. Can you now fix up this mess please?

Total fail. The Russian and English WinRAR extractors both yielded the same files. Same problem as many others have had, will add a picture but won't process it due to the incorrect format exception. As near as I can tell, all it would have done was let you adjust the saturation and brightness, which any freeware image editor will do.

If you really want software which is specifically designed for landscape optimization, Arcadia Software PhotoPerfect i²e usually yields the best and easiest optimization. PhotoPerfect is expensive and somewhat buggy, there's also an extremely limited free Express version. Note that for their online demo, they showed other optimizations which were better for the example on the website, but i²e is usually best for outdoor scenes. The full product can show multiple optimizations at once, but there are several bugs in that, so it's generally best to check the optimizations individually. PhotoPerfect (full) has a slider across the top of each effect which shows you the after/before split, and right-clicking the preview toggles between fit-to-window and original-size centered on the mouse cursor (right-clicking in the multiple-optimization view toggles between after/before). The full version also has a hybrid image editing view which has a number of basic adjustments and optimizations.

This program makes no sense. It pumps up color and brightness and that's it. Any image manipulation program and even any viewer (e.g. Irfan View) can do that.

MLF saves its results as jpg-files with a fixed compression ratio. Not possible to tweak anything. Useless for further image processing.

Thanks Giveaway team. That said whenever I try to use this program it freezes and I have to open the task manager to close the program down.

It could do with a full image editing suite rather than have just one function. as others have commented it's rather expensive for just one tool. You can do a similar thing by using the saturation slider on most freeware image editors. I'd also include an image converter. An undo/redo button, and make it portable so that there is less impact on your system plus you'd be able to use it on all of your computers without having to install it to each computer.

There is also a lack of a before and after preview window.

finally change the color of the GUI, the sickly green color is nausea inducing. At least include the ability for the user to choose from a swatch so that they can match the color to their desktop theme. I'd also change the desktop shortcut. It's boring and doesn't fit in with the programs function.

Ideally this would be better served as a plug in for all of the common image editors both commercial and freeware
