Why is everyone going on about how smart kids are and how they can bypass this or that? There is a lot of pure garbage online and this software does do it's best to help parents from blocking it. Sure kids have to grow up but lets not turn this wonderful site into a bad parenting tips one.

Review of the software:

HT Parental Controls does what it claims it can do and it even lets you do this remotely. I found the interface to be easy enough to figure out and i am not one for computers. I only use ours to play a few games seeing we have the Xbox ultimate thing.

Checked out the blocking by trying to head to some well known adult sites and was pleased with the result. I was unable to go there. You can block by application, category, keywords and more.

One of the best features for me was the time limit. Kids will try to spend hours online if you let them and this will really come in handy. The other fantastic feature is the windows security which will stop most young people that try to get around the blocks.

If you have kids and you want to try your best to block the filth that is all too easily available online then give this a try. It's free and does what it says it will.

Installed and registered with no issues. Has a plethora of data points that will help as conversation starters with my children about what and why they go to the places they do.

And if they try to hide something from me, how have I fostered a relationship that they would and what I can do to rebuild that trust so I can better guide them.

why would you want to limit the knowledge that your child can access?
Is it really smart to keep them from experiencing all that the world has to offer just because they might see a little bit of racy photos. As Bob said below, they will find a way to bypass any software limits that you impose on them.
I want my kids to know everything about the world out there before they find out in a back alley from some pervert because you didn't let them learn there are people like that out there just waiting to prey on them.
Go ahead, keep them isolated and ignorant.

Wait, are you comenting on the software itself or on the philosophy of the software? People are interested in how well the software works, not your opinions on how to raise children.

Nothing can stop a dedicated teen-agers from surfing any web site they want. They know how to by-pass the security, they know how to use android computers, they know how to plug in into the USB port a mini Linux software, they know how to create private browser or virtual machine, they know how to create VPN or tunneling protocol for privacy, they know how to share the friends computer over the Internet by using it as a private server and so on. How I know this, I have two very smart kids and their resourceful thinking is the limit.

bob, your argument for a need of this program is baseless. Where does it state this is designed only for teenagers? I suppose you let your three year old sample all medicine in your cabinet as well. Give parents a choice as to what is appropriate and what is not depending on their age?
