Your all-in-one solution for home theater entertainment!

GameSwift sets the standard for PC and game optimization software. A combination of our two products PCMedik and GameGain, GameSwift instantly makes your computer faster and fixes common problems associated with frustrating slowdowns and errors and squeezes out every last bit of your computer performance and games are capable of. Do you remember when you first turned your brand new computer on and how fast it worked? With GameSwift and a click of the mouse you can bring back this speed to your computer instantly. GameSwift quickly scans your computer for common problems and fixes them, it then makes several permanent changes to Windows so your computer feels like it is brand new once again. Don't deal with a slow computer making tasks take longer to complete, install GameSwift and make your computer run faster.

Over time as you install new and updated software, you get the impression your computer is slower due to these applications being more demanding of faster hardware. GameSwift makes your computer faster by making several changes to Windows settings; for instance it turns off several animations that degrade performance, instructs the CPU how to prioritize background tasks, how files are loaded and written to the hard drive and changes the way memory is used when programs use the memory swap file.

I really don't like the sound of this software. If it can do all what it claims, why sell it for just a few $'s? Regarding the permanent changes... That worries me esp being unable to see what those changes are (that going by what others have said). No, this just sounds too dodgy.

Marketing does not mean you can claim the impossible. Moreover the product shelf life will be enduring if the developers under promise and over deliver. Can we have a few examples at GAOTD of these...I think Ashampoo photo commander 11 is a decent example.

Regarding Joe's comment (#9), I also had the email today containing more than one giveaway. I count on the email daily to see what's up here as I only occasionally remember to visit on my own (too few hours in the day on my end!). The Giveaway Team might want to look into that, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses it as a reminder to visit; they are therefor losing daily clicks because of it.

To get back on topic.. today's offering is worthless. There are many on the market who claim to do the same thing, and their statement that they can speed up a computer without the user having to "waste" money on upgrading hardware should only potentially fool an extremely inexperienced computer user. Perhaps that is who they try to prey on? I get angry when I see unsubstantiated claims like this because I know there are people who will believe it and purchase the software. Some may never know they've been taken for a ride. The only "waste" I see here is a daily slot taken for a Giveaway of the Day.

I ran a benchmark before and after installation and running it again, no difference, gimmick is the right word to describe it.

One of the things I see in using installed software to boost a PC/desktop, and more so a laptop, is that the software itself, might have a large enough footprint to draw on RAM that can be applied elsewhere.
Even with upgrading a PC from 16-24 or in some cases like my laptop, to 32 GB of RAM; it tends to make the PC run hot, even when performance is in high demand.
So another inexpensive option for gaining performance, especially for gaming, is to designate a flash drive/USB stick, using the ready boost option, and increase that extra memory only when needed.
Running a system, especially mobile devices, and laptops at a high performance level for long periods of time, will only shorten the life span of components such as the CPU, GPU and motherboard, causing burnout or blue screen, sometimes well before the one year warranty expires.

My apologies on the second statement. I meant that a PC can still run hotter than it needs to, even when not at peak performance/ and or overclocking, after upgrading RAM. This is why I prefer to use Readyboost, when I need it.

Understanding PGWARE's offering with this product matrix:

                  CPU   RAM   Computer   Internet   Games
PCBoost            X
SuperRam                 X
PCMedik                          X
Throttle                                     X
GameGain                                              X
PCSwift                          X           X
GameSwift                        X                    X
GameBoost                                    X        X
SystemSwift                      X           X        X

Obviously, "Game Swift" is not for playing games online because it doesn't "speed up the Internet".

The company says they're in business since 1998. I can only applaud them. That it proves their products really do what they claim is irrelevant because:
- Windows is way too complicated for people who just do basic stuff and never go beyond setting up the desktop background and a screensaver.
- Speed, when not measured, is subjective
- If it doesn't work, you cannot say you didn't try

Not sure why you would "applaud" any developer whose work on your computer isn't visible, as is the case today?? As for Windows being too complex for people, there are, literally, hundreds of thousands of computer users worldwide who have joined, or taken advantage of, dedicated Windows OS forums from Win98 to Windows 8, every one of which forums always but always features "handy tips and tweaks" for the particular Operating System. On which basis, no-one need fall into the arms of a paid-for provider when all they're likely to get is something derived entirely from the tips and tweaks info they themselves could've undertaken at no cost.

Is there something wrong with your feedproxy?
I received one email today with the giveaways from the previous 3 days, all of which are unavailable, but not todays!
I guess that's what happens when we count on Google for anything useful.

Not that it matters, I would not use this unless I planned on wiping my hard drive and starting over, since the chance it could destroy the registry is too much of a risk.

A real no-no today, software not even worth downloading as a trial unless you believe this on its website:

"GameSwift makes several Windows registry and system changes to increase the performance of your current gaming hardware; this allows you to play the most recent games without having to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade your hardware."

Well, there ya go then. All these years and all the money you've spent, upgrading your video card, upgrading your processor, increasing the cooling, increasing the power supply . . . and really, none of it was necessary because this $13 fix does it all. Hardware improvement? Who needs that when you can just fuel up on snake oil???

Ludicrous. Thanks, GOTD, but no thanks: I haven't a clue why this developer is even in business seeing as how there are over a dozen freeware "optimizers" and system monitors out there which on, basic specs comparison alone, far exceed the competencies of GameSwift (including WinPatrol Free for startup monitoring -- as well as so much else.)

Reply   |   Comment by MikeR  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+40)

MikeR, WinPatrol is a wonderful little program but I generally wouldn't install it on any system other than ones that are used by inattentive, inexperienced users or by someone that tends to visit sites that are considered the 'Danger Zone'. Install a Script Blocker extension (I use NoScript and AdBlock Latitude on FireFox or Pale Moon 64) and NoScript does very well to prevent click-jacking if a user accidentally clicks something they shouldn't have plus prevents flash items from loading UNLESS you allow them to. Your Antivirus software should disable the ability for your browser home page to be hijacked or changed. System Files? Know what you download and scan it with 3 or 4 different scanners that are top tier and you should not have any issues.

CCleaner https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner does anything today's GOTD does (or supposedly does) and with complete control instead of leaving you in the dark with a SUPPOSED Optimization. As someone else said above, it is purely snake oil.

None of these products can do much. Some very specific (user controlled) use will do things like giving easy access to the rubbish that autostarts, which can make a difference. (Ccleaner does this well).
But an "optimised" registry doesn't perform much different from one that isn't.
A few temp or chk files littering your harddrive are trivial space users.
This "product" doesn't let you do the first of these. And you don't need to do the other bits. Even if it will(?)
SO..yes "snakeoil".

For this program to work it would probably have to do something fundamental to the operating system and for me to even allow it on my computer I would need to have an indication of what are these changes.

I'll give this a miss as it reminds me of the old saying, if it looks like snake oil, tastes like snake oil, it probably is snake oil.

One of the product 'PCBoost' from this developer failed to meet the expectations and their products have some poor user reviews on many forums.

If you don't want to try this you can choose from the following Freeware Apps alternatively :

Game Fire 4 - http://www.smartpcutilities.com/gamefire.html

GBoost - http://www.gzero.com/gboost/home.html

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system.

An US(?) company without name and address, but a phone number. "This license is governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, U.S.A."

The EXE digitally signed by COMODO Time Stamping Signer.

We had had a PCBoost 4.11.24 on December 29, 2014. Here are the old reviews:
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/pcboost-2/

Those good ol' times: "Do you remember when you first turned your brand new computer on and how fast it worked? " yes I remember, How fast was the computer, but now, lazy, slow, an old working horse. But helas, here is the solution: "With GameSwift and a click of the mouse you can bring back this speed to your computer instantly."

Let's see...
A small not resizable window opens, you have only the choice between "boost" and (registered) "maximum boost". The software is so fast, that it doesn't have the time to give more detailed information, only : "Speed Setting: This value determines the speed your computer will be optimized with, the Boost settings is available in the trial, whereas the Maximum Boost option is only available after purchasing a license for GameSwift. The Maximum Boost setting will provide the highest speed setting possible!!! for your computer..

I pushed the "optimize now" button and ...
http://i.imgur.com/ef81Ya6.png waited some seconds

Believe or not! It finished without giving any information, what have been changed. This is a real black box software. You pay US$ 12,99, push a button and WHOW! your computer is fast as possible. If it is not faster, than it was simply "not possible". A software from the "you have to believe" department.

No further comment. Unbelievable!
Had the fastest uninstall via reboot

Karl, once again I agree with you. The only way to get more speed out your old computer is changing the hardware! In one of my past comments about software like this; You can't turn a Escort into a Mustang without changing things under the hood. But...Your comment (WHOW! your computer is fast as possible.) I downloaded Game Swift and that didn't happen for me. Maybe, I need to WHOW Harder?

The truth is that Microsoft did not do anything for investigation the problem of slowing PC after 2-3 years of using. There is many third party companies programs for speeding slow, congested PC's, but they do nothing.

Reply   |   Comment by Iliyan  –  8 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Back in the day, we had things like DriveSpace (initially known as DoubleSpace) that "doubled the size of your hard drive. Granted, 286's, 386's both sx and dx flavors, back then we didn't care about speed because we liked trying to load something, getting up and getting a back of chips and a pop then return to a "welcome" screen. This programs may work to a point but if you need a program to squeeze more juice out of a lemon, it's time to up grade.
