What a bummer, I'm the only one that has this app crashing. Would of really liked to try this one out. I emailed the author but no response. (at least have MP3 recorder studio offered here before)
Check Event Viewer (both application and system) under Administrative Tools in Control Panel for any error messages. Also check \Windows for drwatson.log (if you don't have an ongoing log file then start drwatson under \windows\system32 and run the failing program again). In theory, both Event Viewer and DrWatson give sufficient info to actually locate the source of the problem; in practice, they're a bit hit-or-miss as they often note the failure but they may not tell you which dll is actually to blame. Good luck.
Not any help to you but the program runs fine on my XP SP3 system.
Thanks guys. I did check the dr watson log file, but it's to technical for me
to git anything useful out of it. Event viewer had an app error:
Faulting application asrv.exe, version 1.3.0.0, faulting module kernel32.dll,
version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0001eb33.
Right, that tells all, AllSoundRecorderVista sucks for me.
Could be a million things maybe. Deleted.
Buzz, it's also running fine on my Vista x32.
I'm no expert on such matters - but maybe if you try doing a system check (using Advanced System Care - this has worked very well for me for many years now) - maybe this will help clear out any bugs for you, and the program will then work fine.
One never knows what may help with such issues - anyway, I hope it is resolved soon.
