I successfully downloaded one GOTD item about a week ago, but since then, every item has been Expired - in spite of stating that they have quite a few hours to go.
I'm in Australia. Am I in the wrong time zone, or is something else going on ?

Did you follow the instructions in the README.TXT file? You need to Activate or Register giveaways before the "Time Remaining" on the download page counts down to zero. (It doesn't matter where you are in the world - the time remaining is the same everywhere).

One thought comes to mind - check that the date & time on your computer are correct!

While having a correct date and time on your computer is definitely nice, it is irrelevant when it comes to GOTD promotions.
The time used to determine if the GOTD is still valid/current is on the GOTD server.

Gday BuBBy, should the GAOTD clock count down in my browser ?
If I arrive at 5pm AEST and read the reviews for an hour then at the expiry time the GAOTD clock still say's one hour to go and the only way to update the clock is to leave the page and come back. And its not NOSCRIPT as I allow all at GAOTD.Posted 13 years ago # -
thanks. :)

Thanks Graylox and BuBBy, good info, I like to learn, actually while wandering off on one of hotdoge3's links about kiwi's I ended up in Gibralta and found the truth about everything in the world. Did you know the Aussie and Kiwi flags were designed by the Isrealites (Aussies and Kiwis are one of the 12 tribes :) And the Ark of the Covenant is really in Ireland. :)

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered but I could not find it in my search so please be patient with me if you've heard and answered it a 1,000 times. Here it goes... I have to do a clean install, is there anyway to back up my GAOTD programs so my newly formatted system won't give me the error message of, "The 24 hr. limit has expired on this software" ??? Please respond to my email directly, thanks.

Hi Blaze,I had to do a reinstall a couple of days ago after trying to install a paragon backup 2010 destroyed my NTFS file system and I found that a system recovery disc made in Windows 7 restores ALL programs, but a recovery disc made in Vista or xp only restores the operating system. So in Windows 7 do a system recovery disc often to save all your new programs.
