   Keep in mind - the plugin-container process is there for a reason.

   Web pages that use Flash, Silverlight or Quicktime do from time to time crash (sometimes it is the fault of Adobe, Microsoft, or Apple - sometimes it is the fault of the webpage developer).

   In return for giving up some extra memory, plugin-container will allow the crashed plugin to kill only the single browser tab affected, rather than killing the entire browser.

   So as with most things it is a trade off - a possible performance hit in exchange for improved stability of the entire browser.

   I guess if you only have one or two tabs open it doesn't matter if your browser crashes - compared to having 50 tabs open.

   Sometimes plugin-container.exe loads on an ad and makes me wait half a minute before I can continue. I usually just kill the process because I couldn't care less when I'm just trying to read text.

   Edit: And I don't think Flash has crashed on me before.

   I agree with you on the benefits of the plugin-container
   (although there seems to be quite some controversy about it on the web ,for it being a resource hog and causing firewall issues)
   By default, if Flash(Silverlight or Quicktime) is not responsive for 45 seconds, Firefox 3.6.6 or later will terminate it, not affecting the use the other 49 tabs (default timeout in FF 3.6.4 was only 10sec)

   But somehow I didn't notice any ads loading...

   To disable plugin-container.exe for Flash only:
   (maybe to avoid triggering 'hang protection' when loading some Flash-based games) ,
   just toggle the single preference, dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll to "false".

   why I did that plugin-container.exe Process is it was useing 50 MB of ram & 20% to 40% CPU so the CPU was at 99% on uTube now 70% CPU max it still tell me wen Flash crash this is new in Firefox 3.6.6 if you Firefox ok you dont need to do this look in windows Task Manager & see if CPU is hight for plugin-container.exe wen you play on utube
