Can anyone tell me why sometimes when I come here the pages load weird? Instead of being centered as usual everything is off to the left and real big. Does that happen to anyone else???

They load up as usual for me, BK. How long have you been having that problem with yours?

yes, your computer or browser stores web pages for quicker loading of web sites. This what temporary internet files are stored for.
Clear your temporary internet files and your cookies and it should work again.
IE has a built in cleaner, though how how well it deletes may matter.FF needs an external one.
I use iobit 360 or win utilities when I want to super clean my browsers, but glarys or any of the giveaways from here will work.History KilerXHope that helps

Sue, actually it's been doing it off and on ever since the new forum design was started. I don't usually have a problem with it staying that way but the other day it was being testy. Now it seems to be fine again....go figure. BTW I use Firefox.

I have not yet had any problems with the forums section of the GOTD site.

The reason is probably because the CSS is not loading right. I suggest shift-refreshing (holding shift while pressing the Reload or Refresh button). That'll reload everything on the page.

Gotta agree with GM, BK (who, IMHO, knows better than me, anyway). That usually happens because some scripting tool, like CSS ("style sheets", a tool used for laying out pages, often laying out drop down menus), didn't load correctly. As a parallel example, even before the latest problems where they don't come up at all on the game pages, when I couldn't pull up all the comments on an older giveaway, I often had success reloading the page because the script used to open the old comments didn't load properly. There's often a LOT more to load when a page uses scripting, and if one little bit is lost on the load - problems. There's no, one clear cut reason that I know of. Most likely it's the cache thing. There's various different key combinations that'll work. The easiest may be Ctrl+F5. because this bypasses the cache and reloads completely from the net in both Firefox and IE (but shift - reload may work in both also. I forget).

Whatever the problem was it seems to have corrected itself, everything is working fine again.....go figure.
Thanks, everyone, for input and help.
