SeniorCitizen, you say "and I hard-copy most of this stuff so I can refer to it later on. Yup, this old lady has a short-term memory problem."
Well Linda, there are easier ways than to hardcopy everything (for less paper output while still keeping references for later)!
You can use PrimoPDF, an utility that lets you create PDFs (Digital hardcopy) by converting any file you can print from an application like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more (if any of your programs has a print command, you can use this tool).
The key benefits are no wasted paper, no overuse of printer ink as this tool is completely free, can create PDF files from 300+ file types, makes 100% industry standard PDF files and can also create PDF output optimized for print, screen, ebook, or prepress.
Requirements: To install and run PrimoPDF efficiently, your computer should have the following:
Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
A minimum of 30Mb of free hard-disk space (Note: Additional disk space may be required, depending on the size and type of files being converted).
The install guide is located on this page: Installing PrimoPDF
Here is the PrimoPDF (User Manual, Tips & Tricks and Discussion Forum) page.
And of course, the download page: Downloading PrimoPDF (from CNET)

There are also online tools that you do not need to download!
If you want the entire page on the site, you can use this: http://pdfmyurl.com/
If you want part of the page, you can use this: http://www.printwhatyoulike.com/
Support is here: Print what you like Frequently Asked Questions (help)
On both of these sites, you just copy a web address (AKA an URL), paste it on the line that says "enter URL" and click the button to the right of said line.
That should help you (I hope)
Now I am off to sleep if I want to enjoy my short vacation
