Is there any way to keep your GAOTDs when you update your OS?

BlockedNo, unless you can find all of the reg keys and restore everything the programs need on the hard drive. Please see the forum rules about this.

If you keep the entire installed program zipped and then just unzip it, you MIGHT be able to continue playing. That is most possible for games/utilities where you have to create your own shortcut. Note - that is generally NOT possible with Alawar games.
As GMMAN said, it's not supported but you might get lucky in many cases.
