got an email yesterday, just found it today. Everything is for sale for $10 u.s.

I fixing to try out a trial on program like winx platinum. We'll see, ut ashampoos stuff is usually lacking. Movie shrink and burn 3.

It removes copyright protection and then converts to different formats to burn. I'm going for divx. I have official converter already,Divx Pro + converter.(not the giveaway)

Divx just blows everything out of the water ya'll, much better than any format that I have used so far. I'm willing to try though if someone, has one they like.
Though my dvd recorder for tv only does mpeg2(ithink) and dvix which is mpeg4.
I've only had it a couple of weeks, so I'm still learning.

Thanks for the tip, Tynnox. Though I've got programs I never use, so it's time for me to weed rather than plant right now... (except for games)

Has anyone used their anti-virus program? Any feedback? Also is the $10 good forever or for only a year (I wasn't sure from the website).

Hi Terri, the coupon code is good only through October 10, 2009. I have not used Ashampoo's antivirus program, so am unable to give you feedback about this.

No, of course not. October 10 is the deadline by when you can purchase the program for the $10.00 price, but the program (I'm fairly certain) will be fully functional beyond October 10, as long as you have the appropriate registration license code.

But, to make sure, you may wish to contact Ashampoo customer service reps directly to ask them about this.

Sorry, Terri I never used there anti virus programs.It is good for forever, but lets the 2009 version goes to 2010 you will have to pay update it, but on the good side they will still update the anitvirus definitions. I believe that is how their other programs work.

They also keep the codes on their sites,You dont have to keep track and have to pay for extra year of download service.

I've got about 7 of their product from giveaways that have codes and 3 or 4 from giveaways here, give or take a few. They are pretty basic, but they are also for an ok price.

I tried that program movie shrink and burn3 an I discovered that all the programs that I have trying wasnt the conversion to divx, it was the burning of the divx to disc.

I tried using the shrink and burn, I then tried nero9 full version, and then went back to the divx burner from the website. I had to downgrade their new player, they took off the burner and so people could download divx from the interent sites.
Big wooptido, if can't watch it on your tv to.

I was think of trying to get that autocad program for 170bucks for 10dollars or trying to,lol, they 2 different kinds one is for architecture. I think I would like it more.

You'll eventually be able to get most of their programs for free when they release a new program they give the old version away. That is how it usually works.

I've got about 10 or 12 free ones and they email all the time wanting me to buy it the newer version for 4.99, sometimes 2.49.

You know those programs are ok, but I jst dont see paying the price they want for them.Maybe half the price for some and thats just they carry a lifetime type warranty/ download.+ they carry the key for you without charge.no scams attached.

Do you happen to open any of their payed programs? I know I've bought something once, I have a 100 yiggles, but I dont have payed keys, weird.must have been a promotion

I have never bought anything off Ashampoo or would buy anything from them. I use System Mechanic 9 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. I would never use their antivirus. I have Vista 64-bit and so many programs do not work with it and that is the case with a lot of Ashampoo programs.

Michelle, I too have 64-bit Vista and have few problems with any software. Theory being that 64-bit should handle most 32-bit applications. Anyway I digress...I wanted to let you know that if you weren't already aware, ashampoo offers free trials on all of their software. You could always try something you thought you might like just to see. I've not had any problems with any of their software yet, and I've been using 64-bit (vista and xp) for the last 5 years. Something worth a shot..

Thats funny your two favorites are my two favs. Except for the year of Kasp., I was running Kasp CBE, which was 2008 i think.

I originally ran System Mechanic Pro and as my knowledge grew I changed to 64bit computers. Either fortunately or unfortunately, system mechanic pro doesn't have a firewall or antivirus for the 64bit version. I never felt safe with their antivirus and in fact uninstalled it, but I liked their firewall and if they would have produced a 64bit version before I started learning about firewalls. I probably would have gone back.

System mechanic does have the best fixer upper tools and as for registry fixing, I only trust it. It will not take out the need registry stuff, like dlls.

Since you like those, You might try Diskeeper's for your disk management. The system mechanic's is pretty good, but the diskeeper runs all the time and hardly uses any resources. Even whiterabbit uses it. I use the pro version and but the home version is ok to. I've gone to bed with only 20gigs of space left on my system drive and the next day have 30gigs.

I didnt think about the program not function properly. Yea, they could have installed just fine, but if I would have used any of them any, they might have only had half their functions.
