This deal is only valid for College Students who have a valid collegiate e-mail address (.edu) This deal is an upgrade for XP or Vista. This is a pre-order as Windows 7 won't be released until 10/22/09. Also, this is only for digital download. If you want the boot disc included, it's an additional $13. Still not a bad price on a brand new O/S. They say this deal is valid until January 1, though I'm skeptical. Valid only for American colleges, but other countries can take advantage at a later date.

From this site other countries will have this deal also. Just at differnt times. The UK is Sept 30th, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Korea and Mexico can participate in this offer on October 22nd
