Hi GOTD Team,
Helpful heads-up. The GOTD site is down. I'm sure you'll fix it as soon as you can.

They pulled today's giveaway for some reason (it was up earlier). I am sure it will be back up with an explanation by the team in the comments. My personal guess is it either has something to do with registration problems or the fact that the giveaway was a Beta release (as per the developer's website).
August 30 software!
Dear users!
We had to replace the software because of the problems with “Advanced Registry Pro” registration. It will be re-scheduled as soon as the issue is sorted out.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Giveaway of the Day project team
Whoa... New layout. I think I liked the old list better. It's cleaner.
I agree. The two giveaways for each side is a good idea, but all of the search keywords seems like a mess to me, especially the ones right belows the giveaways. If these links are a source of advertising, could we possibly put them on the side with the others? And put more previous giveaways below??? Just my thoughts.
Hmm... If you click on one of those searches, it shows that it's GOTD Beta 2. Might be something left over previously that they just thought of using. I really don't like the idea. It just seems that the team's trying to turn this thing into a software portal. They should stick to giveaways. And put the search box to the right bar, where it can be found easily.
UPDATE: Whoaa! The search doesn't search for giveaways?! It returns a junk list of other software. Isn't that the whole point of search? For giveaways? If they're doing this, they might as well fork this project into GOTD Software Portal and GOTD Giveaways. Then the software portal's money goes into the main project. Yet another case of "what were they trying to do", quickly following the "bloat the wrapper with stuff that no one even asked for".
Hello:
I'm new to the forum (but not to GAOTD) so perhaps I should know this but I don't!
How does one upload a picture to replace the shadowy figure we all get when we register? As per Happy Person and thenameipicked above.
Thanks.
Sparky
Hi Sparky, the one site I know of (which has worked well for me so far) is:
You must sign up for the Gravatar service using your Giveawayoftheday (GOTD) email address, and then upload your chosen picture, and it should appear instantly on GOTD.
Hope this helps,
Happy Person
Hi, TheArtfulDodger and welcome to the forums.
Chip made a good tutorial for the only online tool you can use for the GOTD forums:
graylox
Thanks everyone - it worked a treat as you can see!
Cheers,
