   Hi guys again, I have recently installed Blade & Soul and have many errors trying to login. The game sometimes does complete login but then the games crashes with login errors.

   I have looked on the forums and have not found an answer yet. In the debug.log for the game an error message occurs with the following:

   [code][0628/215857:ERROR:gpu_child_thread.cc(146)] Exiting GPU process due to errors during initialization

   [0628/220037:WARNING:sqlite_persistent_cookie_store.cc(1223)] Failed to post task from content::SQLitePersistentCookieStore::Backend::Close@e:\devchrome\cef_jan2015_64\chromium_git\chromium\src\content\browser\net\sqlite_persistent_cookie_store.cc:1110 to background_task_runner_.[code]

   Can anyone tell me if this is a game error or system error on my comp please?

   The error suggests that it's a browser problem. It could be a general compatibility issue with the browser you're using or it could be an issue with an add-on/extension.

   Normally, I'd assume it's the add-ons/extensions but browsers now seem to update daily so I'd first try using a different browser, preferably one with no add-ons or extensions installed. If that works, you can disable the add-ons/extensions in the browser you use, test the browser, if it's OK, add the add-ons/extensions back one at a time and isolate the problem.

   Thanks Chris but the problem with that is that it loads through a launcher no browser is used at all and the errors happen even without any browser being loaded at all.

   ATM I am waiting for them to authorize me to post on the forum but they seem a little slow in setting that up.

   I did manage to get into the game and play it for some time on Monday but it has failed since. I have just tried it again, without any browser running and I get exactly the same error as I posted in my original question.

   BTW this game has GameGuard running before it starts so could be perhaps linked to that?

   I don't think it's GameGuard because, AFAIK, that's simply an "anti-cheating" program.

   I read the error as a problem with either Google Chrome, or one of the Chromium browsers, but it might just be a "corrupted cookie" that the game is attempting to access.

   I think I'd try to find the file and determine if a browser created it and, if so, open the browser and delete that cookie (exporting the cookies first just in case). The program should recreate the cookie if it needs to.

   Or, if your default browser is Chrome or Chromium then you might change it temporarily to something else. The program might be using the engine but not the browser (similar to what GOTD does with IE).

   Lastly, you could try the sqlitebrowser and see if you can open the database that's indicated in the error "\devchrome\cef_jan2015_64\chromium_git\chromium\src\content\browser\net\sqlite_persistent_cookie_store.cc" (you might need to search on *.cc to find the file).

   I've found a temporary fix from another player on the games forums, he had the same problem and when he installed a VPN, run it and then loaded the game he could log into the game with no problems. So I downloaded a trial of Hotspot Shield and set it up, because it was a trial I had to accept it's default setting that I was in the US. With that running I could get into the game without errors. That indicates, at least to me, that my IP was being blocked by the game for what ever reason.

   The problem with running through a VPN is that the game lags badly and I keep getting killed because the key presses take too long to get to the character :^(

   I have contacted my ISP to ask them to check what is happening in this case.

   In ref to the file mentioned in my error log, it does not exist on my machine at all.

   Which would explain why the program can't open it.

   FWIW, I don't think it's your ISP because, it seems to me, the ISP would always block content so you'd never get to a login screen.

   I did some reading and I was wrong about GameGuard. It seems that your program uses its own version of GameGuard and it's not compatible with other versions. So, GameGuard could be an issue.

   I also found this, Guide: Errors, installing, game-crash, delay, which you likely saw as well, that details all of the things that can go wrong. The Guide lists a lot of error codes. You might double check your log to make sure you don't find a listed one in the log.

   From the Guide it's clear that the program needs high level access to install and the constant use of "Run as Administrator" for every setup file. It also mentions that you can't use a proxy server in any of your web browsers... which is puzzling because if it uses it's own connection software then it shouldn't be using any of your browsers, much less all of them.

   Anyway, if you haven't found a suitable solution then I'd uninstall everything, run a registry cleaner to get rid of any leftover parts, reboot, and reinstall making sure to right-click and "run as administrator" at every opportunity. The missing file might point to an incomplete current installation.
