I thought I would pass along a couple of my favorite bookmarks/sites. The first site is a site to buy books at rock-bottom prices. However, it seems the prices have gone up just a bit since I last made a purchase from them. Alot of the books I've never heard of, but there are many that look interesting. I've gotten a several books from them that I rather enjoyed.

The next site is a site to download free mp3's. There is a nice long list of mostly bands that I've not heard of. However, they have many rap songs for the rap enthusiasts out there such as Kurupt, Project Pat, E-40, Ying Yang Twins, and Common. There are also some great rock songs to be had from this site from bands such as Everclear, Vampire Weekend, and The Hives.

The next site is Roadrunner Records. They are offering two different sampler albums for new members to download. You can only download one of the albums per account. I created a second account to download the other album. One album is hard rock, i.e. Slipknot. The other one isn't quite so hard, i.e. Theory of a Deadman and Black Stone Cherry. The site uses their own downloader and I had problems with it until I realized what it was doing. I kept getting errors when it tried to finalize the download. If you get these errors, close the downloader and you should have a desktop icon for the downloader. Double-click the icon and it will finish without a hiccup.

The last site is from Tooth and Nail Records. Tooth and Nail tend to produce hard rock bands such as Underoath and Norma Jean. However they do have some punk rock bands such as Anberlin and Emery - a personal favorite of mine. The site allows you to download a sampler of over 25 songs from bands on their label. You have to sign up for their mailing list to receive the album, but you can always opt back out.
