Tedious as this may be to forum/site users, I must ask: how many reasonable posts might one have to make before they are posted (after moderation)? I have made a few only but have tried to be helpful... and feel like I am wasting my time. I understand if the mods have other things to do and simply don't have the time to stay on top of all comments. Perhaps some tips on how long it might take could be posted so folks won't wonder and get frustrated.

The operative word in the question is "reasonable". If you stick to guidelines "Please comment only on the software here. If you have technical problems or suggestions on our project, please leave us a note in our forums." then I'd wager anything that's not abusive is "reasonable".
But, for general tips:
- post early if you can
- be informative and succinct
- don't venture into the weeds by replying to a reply of a reply
- stay on topic or make sure that your off-topic comment is really helpful and applies to a wide audience
- be patient, the moderators are volunteers; maybe they're busy with their day job.FWIW - there's no waiting line in the Forum provided your post doesn't trip the SPAM filter.

Did you check my posts, as I think they fit the bill?

My apologies, I should have noted that I have nothing to do with the main page. However, I do observe that you appear to now have posts showing. I'm guessing it was the "be patient, moderators wrangling bacon".
