How does one unlock the add free version ... see how to purchase via in app purchase but kinda like the idea of free :-)
Unlocking ad free Android App of the day Compass Level

ModeratorWelll... it's like this...
Compass Level was given away via App Gratis in February. Today the page in the Play Store shows that it's free today only with App Gratis, although App Gratis has nothing about it -- they have a different giveaway.
My guess was that the dev just reloaded the same page etc. & used the same app for today's GTOD that was used in February. Based on that I installed, then clicked the button to upgrade to the premium version. That caused a window to pop up saying it was now the Premium version thanks to having App Gratis installed. I verified it was the prem. version according to the app's on-line manual.
Would it have worked if I didn't have App Gratis installed? I have no idea.
