Installed, In register page gives Activation Code, but from where to get Activation Key. Goes nowhere on Activation, just indicates Activation done

Worked just fine for me. When I clicked on the Install Program, it installed, and went to a webpage, and filled in the Activation Code automatically. Then, after I filled in my name and email address and clicked on "Get Activation Key", it went to a second page, and displayed my Activation Key number.
I just copied that number, started the program, and in Help and Register / Register, I entered that code, and the program said it was registered and many Thanks!
Works like a charm here.

It is due tomy defalt broser.
I installed Firefox [Mozilla] & made it default browser & it acted forthwith.
giveawayoftheday.com hould indicate such problems to users in readme files.
I guessed from the activation window which has firefox button in it.
Good luck.

So you are saying it didn't work for you when Internet Explorer was your default browser?
I think the problem is only on your PC - 3 hours before the giveaway is due to end - if the activation webpage didn't work for one of the major browsers, many more people than yourself would've hit this problem by now.
There would be many who have used IE based browsers without problems.

hi guys, thanks for replies. i also think its default browser thats causing the problem. I've installed firefox (my default browser was Opera), made it def browser but register window still doesnt work. And theres a link in register page, when i click on it, url is opened by internet explorer. But i'm pretty sure that firefox is default, i've looked at "program accesses and defaults", registry. Any ideas how to change default browser for apps?

default browser is default browser. Unless the actual program has a way to override this or specify which browser you wish to use - it is really up to the program and how the programmer decides to launch the browser.
"Set Program Access and Defaults" should be sufficient - but some programs ignore this and launch Internet Explorer regardless. I'm not sure if this comes under laziness or just not knowing any better. (It's certainly easier to test - if you can force your choice of browser on the user)
