I installed Everdesk about 30 minutes ago. It created a shortcut on my desktop and in start>all programs>everdesk standard edition>everdesk, on Windows 7 64 bit machine. When I click on either shortcut I get a error box pop up that says "the item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permissions." When I right click on the shortcuts and select properties in the general tab it says that the "name "C:\Program Files (x86)\EverDesk\EverDesk.exe" specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct." Any suggestions about how to correct this problem? I am the administrator of the computer and am using and administrator account. Thank you.

Some stuff to look at if/when clicking a shortcut has no effect -- check to see if the app's already running [e.g. using Task Mgr.], right click & select Run as administrator, see if whatever that shortcut points to is in fact there.
If the app's running it could be minimized or might have crashed -- if you don't see it on the taskbar or over at the system tray area, end it in Task Mgr. & try running it again -- you might have to re-start/re-boot.
If it runs as admin, you can right click the program's .exe file & using the Properties pop-up set it to always run as admin, or you can set the properties of shortcuts the same way.
If the file's not there to run, did it install someplace else? In this case I'd search for EverDesk.exe . If you don't find it did your security software delete or quarantine it?
If Everdesk didn't finish the install, or if you need to re-install after telling your security software to leave it alone, download/run the trial setup -- if you registered your name & password yesterday per the readme file etc., it'll hopefully work today as well to log in with the app.
