I guess this is the right section. Sorry, this is about screensavers!
I don't know where to put them once I download them. Where does windows store them? In display there is no 'browse' for finding screensavers to use. Some things I understand, others I don't. Any assistance is appreciated

hehehe Most installers will put them where they need to be. Rather than tell you, lets do alittle something different. Do you remember the name of the screensaver? If so go and click start, then click search, of course for files and folders on c:. Enter the name of the screen saver or anything else in the future you can't find and click search. Everything that is listed with that name will be found and also show you the locations.
Sorry for the instructions but now you'll be able to find anything on your PC.
Most screensavers go into the C:\Windows\System32 folder
The screensaver itself normally has a file extension of SCR
eg. c:\windows\system32\ssstars.scr
Some screensavers also have "supporting files" that are also installed (perhaps exe or dll files)
The scr files are a special type of exe file (to handle "screensaver specific" things like a settings window etc)
You can also "run" most screensavers by renaming them from scr to exe filetypes. (But it's not really recommended that you do this).

Thanks all for the answers. I did find it, ran it, and have deleted the one in question. I got weird lines and scratchy looking 'things' on it. This is the second screen saver that has done this. I am getting leery of these downloads. Altho, one DID work
