I've lately had a problem (I use Win 7) with some GOTDs not starting the setup, once connected to the GOTD site - erroring out with the message such and such tmp file 'is not accessible as it is in use with another process'.

I've tried the obvious, ie turning off anti-malware programs, turning off the firewall but the problem persists. I can't see what process might be accessing tmp files from GOTD. :(

Any ideas out there please?

Very first thing I would try (if you haven't already) is clean out the %TEMP% folder.
Check you have plenty of free disk space on your C drive.

I hadn't been running CCleaner for a while. Ran this to clean up all the tmp files and ran the CCleaner registry fixer.

All fine now! :)
