To continue with my previous post. As a developer you may not necessarily be a good salesperson, marketer or really take a look at the product from the end user perspective. That said you should not be judgmental towards me because of my first, and very important, impression of the product. My point is that the developer could probably do something as simple as making a color change to make it more attractive to buyers. I really don't think that most people could disagree with my opinion of the interface aesthetic.

#30 xp-man. You are assuming (and we all know what that means) that I miss out on good products. I have downloaded this and many other programs here despite criticism from others, complaints about the GUI, grammatical errors, etc. I simply made the observation and did what I thought we are supposed to do here...give constructive feedback. Just trying to point out to the developer that they may lose opportunities based on first impression. I think that you or anyone else would like to hear that feedback. We all have many choices (including free) in this space so how it looks does impact a buyers perspective no matter how you slice it. Sounds like you are taking this very personal because of your own experience and feel that your end product may be judged similarly...you are welcome!!!

@29 XP-Man,
I agree, man. It worked in both outputs.
Regarding development, I believe and agree with you that aesthetics should be a secondary consideration to the functionality of the developed software. Anyone who has hard-coded will appreciate this.
Nuff said.

WinXP SP 3 installed and registered ok

Remember to go to ipixsoft webpage for their download centre to download 47 extra free templates.

As others have mentioned the downside to flash is sending it to other people who are worried about opening it up , so you have to tell them in advance it is trusted. I turn off flash by default and then the adobe plugin asks me every time for permission to play in Firefox . Otherwise browsing the web could end up downloading nasties without your permission.

Flash is for people who have any computer with a mouse . It is not suitable for touch screens . Windows 8 has a builtin back door so who in their right mind would to use it ? And Apple dont use flash
because they like to control everything, and make money out of overcharging people , even their accessories have different sockets for new models .

If Adobe keep uptodate with development and security updates their is no reason why flash will not continue.

@20 - gerrymar, in an ideal well-informed alternate universe a lot of people would delete it; but seriously, on Earth the majority can't even spell malware much less presume the .exe file extension is bad and think "Danger Will Robinson, DANGER!"
Considering all the reports of how many people including top execs still fail Safe Computer Practices 101, still create simplistic passwords, and still forward photos and jokes, something tells me that for years to come plenty of custom flash files will be exchanged between kid's, or arrive in granny's Inbox, and even reach Homer, the oblivious system administrator at a nuclear power plant... and all will be opened without a pause to read the cover email or an attempt to contact the sender to verify it really came from them.

No I did not download it because I read the following statement on their website:

Important: The installer will download additional files like Avisynth, Imgburn, Xvid and ffdshow. Do not uncheck these files unless you have them installed already or else DVD slideshow GUI will not work correctly.

I took them at their word and do not think they are "blowing smoke"!

Thanks. This software can just create flash slideshow with photo, video, music, while Kvisoft Flash Slideshow Designer could make flash slideshow for slideshow banners, 3D flash video galleries, photo albums and holiday gift cards galleries. You can get it from here:

I've installed, un-installed, re-installed this program 3x already.
I've gone to their website and downloaded the program directly and re-installed it. Each time I get an error message to install Adobe Flash Player. Each time (3x) I've installed, un-installed,
re-installed Adobe Flash Player, yet, I still am receiving the same error message. Please advise.
I don't want to lost the chance for this program.

I'm laughing at all the comments. It's a slugfest over flash.
Please remember that good old Irfanview will take your pictures, make a slide show and include the engine to run it on a CD to give away if you want to burn one in just a few clicks and decisions to make.

IV has been around for years and years.

Maybe if you concentrated on what the program achieves rather than complaining about its visual impact you would not miss out on good programs.
You amongst many complain about the prettiness of interfaces whilst never thinking from the developer's point of view.
I have been developing a slideshow program in Delphi 7, which cost about $1200 a number of years ago. Unless I buy expensive components, at hundreds of dollars each, I'm stuck with an unfashionable end product.
The minimum cost to upgrade to a later version of Delphi would cost me between $4000-$2500, so let's say $10,000 for a small development team.
So if we don't give small developers a chance purely on the visual impact we could stifle really good programs developing.
Regarding HTML output.
Someone complained that it did not function, in my test it performed perfectly in both EXE mode and HTML mode.

I'll continue my quest to make pretty page tags in Delphi 7 as I have been doing for the last three months, all for the sake of fashion!

Maybe it's me but I just can't take this product seriously. To me the GUI reminds me of the Teletubbies. Looks like it is made for children in mind. Not sure who the target audience is, but I think the GUI needs to be re-designed for people to even think that it is a serious contender in an already saturated space.

#15 gerrymar.
There are a couple of ways of sending an e-mail containing an EXE file that will pass scrutiny.
The first and most obvious one is to rename the extension, however, often this will confuse the less savvy computer user.
The second one is to send it as password protected RAR file using WinRar and using the option to encrypt the filenames.
This certainly works with Gmail as I have just tested it.

The program works very well doing what it says. As a webmaster, flash is being used less and less leaning towards more secure HTML5. As to e-mailing your creation to your friends - good luck. Now-a-days any type of executable attachment becomes a red flag and the cautious receiver will delete it on the presumption of possible malware especially during the upcoming festive season. It is a great program to great your own personal archive.

this software was given out in 12-13-12 and again 6-4-13 as version 4.0. I wonder what changes have been made since then it don't indicate any whatsoever. http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ipixsoft-flash-slideshow/#more-36300 It show back then they ask for 39.95 and now the same in which I think is way too much for this software especially when Microsoft photo story is a free app.

OK, let's be clear. Giovanni's first choice is a GUI for other programs. The download screen clearly states that it will download OTHER programs and that these must be installed to use it. Unless you are comfortable with the whole package, you will have to skip this one as I did.

I primarily create slideshows or galleries to publish on my websites. For this purpose there is no better program than jalbum. If you have not heard of it, go to their website and read about it. There you will find all of the options, translations and evidence of author and user community support! They used to have a free version but now only the trial is free. The cost is $39.

Hi, some useful links to flash players (all Adobe, but lighter), this one installs Adobe Flash Player10 on desktop, where simple 'run' opens a window to drag and play swf Files created by Today's Giveaway -

http://www.bannersnack.com/blog/download-swf-player/

or this one (installing into Programs) -

http://standalone-flash-player.software.informer.com/

taking you to this page -

http://www.standaloneflashplayer.com/

Final advice and practice worth remembering when using personal photos: use copies of pics or Folders before submitting them to any framing/slideshow Programs, as you never know what might happen to your precious pictures when Program expires, or lost. I once ended up with photo I put so much hard work into with logos "Sample" plastered all over it...

Thanks for today's Giveaway, always useful, especially approaching Festive Season:)

Skip.
Not downloading this GOTD software.

I will leave to others to decide whether flash is dead or alive or dying.

It is just that the thought of making a slideshow in flash never occurred to me.

What on earth would I want to do that for?

This thing is useless to me.

Yes, I agree with #1...Flash is dying day by day and the new HTML5 technology is taking its place now especially with regard to mobile devices...

FLASH is not secure at all and its bugs turned out to be a sort of highroad for hackers to hack systems around the globe along with JAVA....

So Steve Jobs was right about that:

http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash

My suggestion to the developer is to create a tool in the future supporting HTML5 rather than FLASH.

As for this GAOTD I found it a pretty decent app for creating slideshows...can also add hyperlinks for the slides, which comes in handy if you publish your slideshow online.

It can create SCREENSAVERS as well...another thing of the past and totally USELESS nowadays.

40 bucks? Come on man, you are really out of touch...

I'm afraid that this is a SUPER SATURATED FIELD nowadays: what do you make of it, dudes?

You already know that Android is also getting away from Flash? in Kitkat you will find no more support for this format, even by third-party browsers.
But - as we all know know, there surely will be soon another Flash-to-Anything Converter :) on GOTD.

Very Easy and soft install. Used the .exe option to create a slide-show of some friends birthday pics with excellent results. However, you have to take care to select the correct photo size to display if the default looks too small otherwise you might end up with photo-to-screen overlaps. That said, as we enter the festive season, you might find this a worthwhile tool to make party or slideshows to give friends and family. It so easy to use and fun at the same time. This is a keeper.

The reason people say Flash is dead is that when the IPhone/IPad came out it Flash wasn't available so everyone assumes because Apple products don't support something it must be dead!

The program might be good, if I can get it restored and "unblocked" by my virus scanner.
I use Trend Micro Titanium and this program is recognized as a virus.
I can add it to exceptions because I trust GOTD, but is it really worth risking? especially having Adobe Flash Professional installed on my PC...
Flash dead? get real! do you know people who don't have a flash player installed on the computer?

Flash will not be history as it is adobe standards / and Adobe has gone to great lengths to create programs to facilitate conversion from flash to HTML5 and also from PSD to HTML5. I am not sure why anyone would thing flash is going into retirement. At any rate, I have tried several of ipixsoft's programs and have found them to be quite nice. especially the flash gallery creator. All works fine on my windows 7 home premium 64 bit

It does exactly what it is supposed to do with very little effort on behalf of the user. Happily integrating video and photographs into the same output file of good quality, all done with a few clicks of the mouse.
I would find it so much better if audio could be attached to each photograph, sadly something lacking in most slideshow producers.

A decent easy-to-use program by any standards and in my opinion worth a download.

Just downloaded and did a quick install and test. This installation went extremely ease and with no extra "surprises" during the install. No email address confirmation or waiting for that code that always seems to take extra time. When opening the program for the first time you are asked for a name and registration code. Both of which are provided by Giveaway during the installation run.

As for running the program. It has a very basic and self-explanatory interface which makes it very user friendly. I took a few photos and it turned them into a self-executing files in just a few clicks. The wait for it to actually make the file was nominal.

Overall, a pretty decent program and one that I am sure I'll be using on a pretty regular basis.
