Installed and activated on Vista 32 Admin with no problem. The programme ran fast, but offers very limited features. Most downside is it does not support unicode text. I would not buy this, but if it is free, it may be good for children to play with.

Have tried it under 32bit vista home premium, as others have said it is very simple in capabilities, it's designed to make non-clickable animations, in my opinion adding the facility to make any element clickable would be the next logical step. It has a basic design flaw that its work files are stored within its instalation folder and not in the per-user application data folder. This means that unless the program is run as an adminstrator the play button which writes out a preview swf and html page gets virtualised (in vista and above), but the spawned web browser does not look at the virtualised location but the original Program files based path! Also by using a browser to play the animation it runs headlong into the default sensible but annoying security policy of not playing Active content on the local machine. I am sure with some thought and imagination I could create some pleasing animations but I suspect I'd end up wanting to take the output and put it in one of the swf editors that have been given away previously to add links and tart it up a bit. This looks like a toe-dip into the swf production market, this 1.0 should be donateware later versions with more facilities plus a windows compliant folder usage layout and more comprehensive UI, help and samples is going to be more likely to be worth paying the asked price for.

Bring it back with many of the suggested changes and make your own webpage work properly. Then, I would definitely try it out.

I just tried to install the program, but when I go to run it, I get the following error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the items."

What exactly does this mean? Anyone able to help? Thanks!

Quite surprising that no one has suggested any free Flash Softwares.

Well, for me their website is down, so I can't even see all these problems that are described. If it weren't for the fact that this seems like just the program I've been looking for, I'd pass because of what I've seen and heard about this app.

The CAD-KAS web site states:
Flash-Creator has been awarded by www.softsia.com with 5 stars.
The softsia.com web site shows 3 stars:
http://www.softsia.com/Flash-Creator-download-19mq.htm
I didn't check any others. I didn't need to.

A charmingly simple and effective program which will remind you of the '90s in Styling, but with two hiccups experienced.

1. the "Play" feature shows a background-only animation with Vector Objects. When combining Vector with Text or Picture Objects in an animation, it did Play well. It leaves one with a queezy-feeling for continued program-usage.

2. the Help is abysmal, and I'm betting written by a "tEcHy"? Please get a better writer/artist to create that so-very-important representation of...CAD-KAS

Don't dare let DIS be your best-ever-work to offer the world, as it IS 2010, yes? More is expected, in many aspects, please. Improve, or...die, is the Reality.

#14: "... When trying to open the .fmo file to preview, all I get is a .htm file not found; after saving as a .swf file, I get the same thing — seems the program writes the swf script to insert into an html file, but NOT the html file itself. ALSO, cannot locate the saved .fmo or .swf files created in the file sub-directory, ..."

If it helps, in XP Pro at the moment, Flash--Creator places playtemp.htm & playtemp.swf files in the program's folder, which both play in the apps preview & by double clicking the playtemp.htm file. After saving as an swf [to a folder you select], I get the same thing, an htm + a swf file, & double clicking the htm file opens the swf animation in FireFox. As the simplest test possible I inserted a square, dragged the 2nd square across the program's work area, & the result was a 210 byte swf file.

Flash--Creator is a small [~2MB], portable app for *simple* "animated Flash logos, banners, intros, headers" as they say at the top of the GOTD page... basically you can have objects start at point A, move to point B, and change size, transparency etc in the process. Objects can be text, images, or vector [meaning a rectangle or ellipse].

In contrast with something like Adobe's app [oversimplified] you have a time-line, stack objects in layers, & write actionscript to provide behaviors & interactivity. There are loads of popular Flash-based games for example at sites like GameHouse that show how far it can go, but if all you want/need is a title &/or subtitle that grows into view, Flash--Creator should work just fine, minus the hefty learning curve.

This program appears to be a small demo of an intended larger program that was abandoned (as it should have been). ;)

It takes a few objects -- text, rectangle or oval, and picture -- and offers to move them from a starting point to an ending point with only a minimum of transition effects. It worked okay on the simplest effects I tried, but gave errors when I tried more complicated effects.

If you need to make a good flash presentation file, try "Powerbullet". It is much better, and FREE.

I have been playing with it. I made a couple of flash movies. I want the picture to stop and remain open at the end.
In the step by step help topic it says :"If you need a stop at the end of the movie you can add an object outside the viewable area and let the old object remain in the movie ...", but, cannot add an object outside the viewable area as there is no such option - it always adds the object in the workspace. I did drag it outside, but still the effect I want doesn't work. Or, I am not doing it right, as the instruction is not clear.
Can the author please help?

They can't even get the flash demo of their own product to work on their own webpage. Pass on this one.

It works but it's really very primitive and not at all ready for the market.

Installed without a problem on my Win 7 (x64) laptop, opens, and runs fine. One major problem: When trying to open the .fmo file to preview, all I get is a .htm file not found; after saving as a .swf file, I get the same thing -- seems the program writes the swf script to insert into an html file, but NOT the html file itself. ALSO, cannot locate the saved .fmo or .swf files created in the file sub-directory, which may explain why they can't be found. I don't need the frustration. Thanks GAOTD, but I'll pass on this one.

Installs fine on Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

Programs interface aint the best one, and for the features you get with it, it aint really worth the price, however it is allot easyer to use than other flash programs i have owned!

Mabye half the price you are asking and you might be lucky!

This is awesome. I have just started exploring how to add flash to some of my websites and this is something even I can use. Easy to install and pretty much a point and click interface that you can figure out with a few minutes of playing with it. Thanks Guys.

No UNDO? Any program which has no undo is not helpful.

I've used CAD-Kas PDF editor and it's a great program. I'm not trying to promote it, it seems a bit pricey now, but as far as the company goes, if their other software is any indication, this should be really good.

Thanks GAOTD

The Help menu is very, very limited. Starts off like you already know what you are doing under "Step by step". Some examples would really help.

mmmm i would like to try this software but there are too many strange fact ...

- all the "five star" aren't clickable for checking if it's true
- the last image in the product page is inexistent and clicking on the link throw you in inexistent page (http://www.cadkas.com/large/eflashcreate.jpg)
- the on line demostration lock after some seconds (tryed with IE and FF)
- no screenshoot in large size

conclusion: i'm sorry but i don't trust to much this software with this site ...

I just made a little banner for my blog that I am working on and the program was very easy to use, tho it is very limited as to what it can do. For free it is worth adding to your collection, but I wouldn't pay for it.
