I tested this out and picked a YouTube video about a family friendly video game and I get this message - Error: This video may be inappropriate for some user. <- This is ridiculous. It's not inappropriate and even if it was, I chose to download it. I am the user! There is nothing in the options to fix this.

I have used a lifetime version of Ant Download manager for years with no problems. Does this do anything special that would be an upgrade?

The sotware seems to work quite well, thanks.
My only issue is that now that I´m using a phone, my preferred option to save data is to download 480p, and there´s no option for that. If I click "Large" on my test video, it downloads a 1080p video; if I click "Medium", it downloads a 360p video, which is too low of a resolution, even for mobile. Is there way a to correct this?

P.S. The original video plays without issue in 480p if I play directly via Youtube, so I presume it´s not a codec issue.

Doesn't allow you to download any video that is age restricted on you tube. It has NO option to override the notification that says it is not safe for all ages.

I am not a 100% sure on this but I think not all videos on youtube are free. Some are restricted, for example, age restricted videos, private videos, paid videos etc, and they cannot be downloaded directly with apps. I use 4kvideodownloader paid version, which is quite good, but even that doesn't download everything.

asdf, I agree with you. Subscriptions nickel and dime me to death. I prefer to pay more for a lifetime license, or install a free program that might not be as nice as the one with a subcription, but it won't require payment every year (or month). Of course, I realize a lifetime license would cost more, 2X or 3X (or more) the cost of a single year's subscription price.

pereh, FastPCTools have said they don't do a lifetime version. So you buy the app for (normally $60.00) today, free. But that means you will need to purchase it again after a year. That is the definition of a subscription, surely.

rww, or just try the unregistered version... works ok, if you replace the downloaded FFMPEG.EXE they install on first run with a Vista or XP compatible version and block further attempts to overwrite it through access permissions or UAC refusal on fresh write attempts it works under Vista and XP as a basic video downloader.
