Fantasy Garden Animated Wallpaper was available as a giveaway on June 9, 2013!
Here is an animated fairy land where a tree is really a clock. Its twisted trunk looks like Merlin’s robes. The branches may or may not be a tree house. That may be a cuddly white dog or maybe it’s a tiny white pony. Watch where you step, and always keep a good look over your shoulder.

Animated Wallpaper Maker is all-in-one solution for customizing your desktop background with amazing animations effects. It contains an editor that allows you to add animation to standard windows wallpaper (supporting all common image formats) and a built-in player replaces the static windows background with an animated one. The wallpaper animation requires minimum system resources and can be disabled/enabled at will.
It is said that the magic dance of flame is the one of the most magnetic and relaxing things in the world. With this in mind, we created our virtual fireplace that is specially designed to fill your work place with the warmth of a cozy evening and the enchantment of fairy tales.
Virtual Aquarium is highly realistic desktop animation that brings the beauty of underwater life to your computer.
I love the picture but I am not happy the clock doesn't work.

I tried this on win7 64 and at first the picture size was off as stated earlier, the unicorn could barely be seen at the bottom. Then as I tried to exit it with the icon by the clock I saw the settings and was able to fit and stretch it so it looked normal.
I have 12gb of ram, so it didn't slow down the computer, but my icons were hard to see and the whole clock not working made me decide to uninstall it.
there was no way to stop this from starting up in windows under the msconfig /startup either which I thought was strange, and attempting to put my windows theme back did nothing to stop it either.
uninstalling it was tough, it still came up at start up after being uninstalled from the control panel, remove programs, plus rearranged all the icons on my desktop
I had to find the folder and delete that in 'program files' then it did not start up at windows start up and the icons were back to normal. It had the wallpaper exe file in it.
anyone else have a problem uninstalling this?

I don't see why everyone complains about the clock in the tree. It looks nice, it was free to download and use, and it's 100% dead on accurate twice a day!

I'm tempted because this does look intriguing, but I do a lot on my desktop -- some days it's almost covered -- so I only use a low-res., muted wallpaper.
No download, so no vote from me.

tried it on my quad core pentium win7 with 3gigs ram and it slowed my machine right down to grinding crawl..we just dont need screensavers anymore..

This is the most awful of the last last few wall papers that have been given away here. It also pushes my icons to the left and hides half of the far left icons. a little irritating!
THUMBS DOWN.

The give-and-take in the GAOTD comments is always interesting even if the giveaway isn't. I usually learn something new about the catagory /type of software being offer. Frequently find useful alternatives. And sometimes I'm entertained. That why it worth checking in to GAOTD to see the comments. For example, I'm Not interested in today's and will not be rating it, BUT will check out Matt's suggestion about Dexclock and Vladiostudio site.

Though I'm not impressed by this giveaway, i'm thankful for this - because of Matt (#16).
Thanks Matt, the Dexclock is just awesome, I'm so happy I found it :) :) :)

#3: This clock is synced to the growth rate of a tree! One ring [a ding] a year. :(
Did some school just graduate it's "design a program and make a million" class? Some of these programs apparently aren't tested fully.
We appreciate the work it takes to compose programs but please, test them to make sure they are going to work on typical computers. TNX

As mike mentioned, there is supposedly a unicorn who shows up. Unfortunately, I only notice it at 1080P as motion behind my taskbar. Quite irritating when in apps.
Combined with the fact that the clock doesn't actually function, I say this one's a pass. :(
For those of you skimming the comments looking for a desktop wallpaper clock after today's unintentionally (I hope!) misleading description, try Dexclock http://dexpot.de/dexclock.php?id=dexclock (it's free though installation is ad-supported, but it was only a matter of unchecking a single checkbox for me). Dexclock can use any of the beautiful wallpaper clocks available at http://www.vladstudio.com/wallpaperclocks/browse.php (check out his regular wallpapers too, good stuff!).
Hopefully this will make someone happier. :)

this program slowed down my computer. I'm still waiting for some type of photo program from gaotd.

Aww, what a shame. I LOVE animated wallpapers as a rule, but this is a rather poor example of one. These types of 'toys' are NOT made for old technology, but they do run beautifully on new machines. I can tell you that this was made with one of GAOTD regulars..."DP Animation Maker" ! That's cool ! Otherwise...the sale is all out of whack, but it was a nice try. # 11, Mike...try the "stretch" position of the Unicorn to see a bit more of it on 1080P. Thanks to ALL for the dedication and hard work.

Having a clock on screen that doesn't tell the time is a little annoying. But it appears that this is just a program designed to sell other individual desktops. A package of such desktops would be more practical. But I've found it easier on the whole not to use them.

Wallpaper? Yawn...

Cute background though doesn't scale that well to a 1080p display -- barely shows the horn & just a small portion of the unicorn's head moving across the screen... had to hunt up a better picture with Google Images to find out what in the world it was supposed to be. This single file wallpaper app didn't use hardly any CPU, but a graph showing GPU usage [MSI Afterburner] displayed a sawtooth pattern with the spikes at about 80%.

85 % thumbs down, quite acceceptable because most of the peoples belive that these makes their system slower and didn't even give a try to these wallpapers. They prefer generally a faster system than a smart looking cool and eye-catching wallpapers. In my view one should give a try to the freebies provided by this great and unique site before rating it and should not rate these
before trying these freebies as in case of this giveaway. I think most raters havn't even tried this one.
At last thanks GAOTD for your hardwork and great efforts.

I tried to install this on Windows 8 x64. It did not install at all from what I can tell.

A little Celtic music might be nice, but it's an attractive wallpaper. Installed and runs without a hitch.

For people using AVG, I suggest disabling it for installation. AVG labels this program as a trojan even though GAOTD checks every program to make sure it is safe before placing on this site.

I will definitely pass on this one. These animated wallpapers used to be good but now they are set to run when the computer starts. I don't want this all the time but only when the mood suits me. There is an option to start at windows startup that can be unchecked. The only problem is when you exit the program and restart it, the option is again set to start with windows. This really needs to be addressed before I am interested in these again.
