Hello - Don't know where to discus this problem. Perhaps you can redirect me?
I have partition master free V 12. I want to move partitions but the icon i get when over the volumes is a hand and doesn't change to the move icon. They wont budge. Is this a limitation of the free version. I can change the size etc but not move the partitions. Please help or show me where to go.

Hi Giovanni,
Wish to thank you for the great tip about partitions-ie-typing 'partition' in search box.I'm an oap who is averagely comp literate and I can't believe how simple it was to make new partitions using windows.

Many thanks

NR36, Like you I find excluding WinPE from this package troubling. However, if you go to http://www.fileswap.com/dl/4sZiQJtJmx/Macrium_5.0_WinPE.zip.html and download, it has a WINpe image that works. I suggest having both a linux and WinPE image. It's clear that those who think the giveaway is acceptable w/o WinPE I'm sure find it ok to buy a new car without tires.

Hi all, I haven't had any luck trying to install GOTD app's since the change over to using the new .gcd file(?). I’m clueless as to how to install it and have it run properly.

If anyone could help explain the process simply and clearly that would be really appreciated, as I am not very computer savvy. (and unfortunately I don’t understand the GOTD readme.txt file explanation – about “extract all enclosed files in the same directory”. What does that mean exactly??)

Thanks in advance :)

Yes, this needs a portable version! If I delete part of my OS system partition, I won't be able to use this to fix it if it's only on my PC partition where problem is. I once stopped a backup halfway done, and deleted my OS, corrupted the whole partition-
BUT I MUST SAY- in the 2 months of trying to fix it, THIS AP was the only 1 I found that could fix it, & I had no $ to buy it.
GET THIS NOW, BEFORE YOU NEED IT!!! IT'S LIKE MAGIC!
Thank you, Easeus!!!!!!!!! :)

This is a decent offering from EASEUS & GOTD. Note that the only additional function was a Linux Bootable CD, from the freely downloadable product, still that CD may come in handy. One can never, allow me to repeat, never, have enough tools in their chest.

Sometimes, the other brands doesn't do the job. Then what? I've had this happen, on a known working CD.

It would have been nice to have a WinPE CD, as I have with EASEUS Todo Workstation 4, but I take what I can get. EASEUS, though typically large downloads, usually has good products.

GOTD caught me by surprise today, the site used to offer better software than they do today (in 2012). However, some things are beyond their control, I realize that, take what I can get & post links for others on tech forums & go on.

Hopefully GOTD will offer EASEUS Todo Workstation 4.5, or another version with a WinPE disk.

#42, captkit: yes and no, it will work with some dynamic disk configurations but not all.
Resize dynamic volumes, they say yes
Convert Dynamic disk to basic, they say yes.
Copy Dynamic Volumes, they say yes.
But repair a windows raid 5 array which is also made of dynamic disks they say NO, only the server edition or better claims to do that.
Uncertain whether it will handle RAID 0 or RAID 1 arrays managed by windows or not. I don't have one handy to try sorry.

Why doesn't the easus Home edition support Windows Home Server?

It's not exactly fair to expect the domestic user with a windows homes server as a media server for the family use to have to fork out the same as an enterprise user buying server edition at $159.00 at least include it in the reasonably priced Pro editions if not in the Home edition please!

It is unclear if there are any functional changes in EPMP 9.1.1 over 9.1.0 seeing as the only stated difference is 9.1.1 is advertised as being Windows 8 ready. They both have same look and feel and certain files embeded version info in the 9.1.1 installation location have embeded versions of 9.1.0, but it is 9.1.1 as far as the update check goes and the help, about version number.

I used shadow explorer to bring back EPMP 9.1.0 after the 9.1.1 install process demanded I uninstall 9.1.0 before it would procede with no visible ill effects.

BTW just noticed on the welcome screen that shows by default until you untick Show at startup... on the right side has a link by the green NEW icon called "What's New"... that also tells same story as found in the PDF user guide but in the help applet instead.

one shortfall of easeus partion master ext2/3 handling is it only recognises a small subset of the ext* specification and marks partitions intended for ia64 arcitecture or embedded linux NAS/PVR's etc that use block sizes greater than x86 linux ext* 4kbyte limit due to linux inability to work around the 4k page memory mapping it does that only x86 linux has problems with. The ext* spec easily allows upto 64Kbyte block sizes and many embeded systems do use the larger block sizes to reduce the tendancy for files to fragment and reduce the DMA/interupt overheads by reading and writing bigger chunks at a time. Partition Magic 8 does handle larger ext2 block sizes but is not compatible with modern windows... would be good if Easeus did not cripple their ext* support by binding itself to obsolete x86 linux and its crippled e2fsprogs. People with these embeded systems are held captive by whatever the limitations are of the embeded firmware and in many cases it does not include a file system repair tool or defragmenting tool or ability to format a file system beyond the original models designed largest fitted hard drive... This means when a sector fails there is usually no way to get the good data back if the sector is in a critical structure, it will spot an inconsistancy flag the file system as bad and force a fschk on next boot and if it does come up bad it will just demand the drive needs to be reformated causing the loss of hundreds of gigabytes of data, easus *could* solve those problems if only it relied on complete ext* file system drivers without the linux x86 4kblock limit!

# 34...Maxwell Smart...I have had this problem before on GOATD, and again today; says it is activated, but file corrupted and to download again. Win7 - 64bit - Intel i5 ASUS.
I tried downloading through Chrome, then FF to no avail. I then updated my unzip program. uh-uh.
I tried running as administrator and in different compatibily modes.
Nothing doing.
Fortunately, I have the previous giveaway of this program and it works fine.
Must be some quirk in my setup that the installers don't like.
I hope you can figure it out.

@23, Cheers:

Right click on the zip file. You may have an option to "Extract to EaseusPartitioPro911\". This will create a subfolder under the current folder and extract all the files to it. 7-Zip and many other archive programs offer the same option. You can extract the files to your current folder, but I prefer to have a subfolder so I can find the files.

As an alternative, you can open the zip file (double-click), select all the files (usually ctrl/A) and extract all the files to a subfolder.

Go to the subfolder, read the readme.txt file, and follow the instructions. You do not execute the setup.gcd file, you just need to have it in the same folder as the setup.exe file. Do not try to execute setup.exe from the zip file.

If you don't have an archive program that can extract the files, you can get 7-Zip (free) from ninite.com.

Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if a mistake was made in regards to the price and the file size which differs from their website (and other websites). Differences such as $19.95 here and $39.95 there and also the file of 54.5MB to 12.5MB. I find these to be big enough discrepancies to inquire some explanations.

It has nothing to do with the quality of this software which is, as mentioned previously by many users, of excellent quality and it is a very useful tool to have in your personal arsenal of computer tools.

Thank you Chengdu Yiwo Tech Development and GOTD for this offer. Have a nice day everyone :-)

@#36 None: For a firm to legally include WinPE media, they have to pay royalties to Micro$oft. That in turn means the publishers could *not* afford to allow it to be given away here. The included Linux-based boot media has no such problem.

# 23 Cheers.....this confused me too BUT not knowing what to do I just installed previous programs like this: On C drive first create a new folder and title it Installed New Programs. Than created another folder inside that folder and give it this programs' name..Easeus Partition Pro 911. Now download todays offer into that folder. Now when you open that zipped folder all the files are in same place on same drive. Then just click on setup.exe to install. Always read the 'read me' file. Some programs have an extra Activation.exe to install and the read me file will tell you which to install first depending on company. This one you just have the setup one to click. So far it's worked for me on other programs. If anyone else reading this can correct me or give additional or better advice please do for I appreciate the knowledge of others given....

The last version offered here, did not include a tool to turn dynamic drives, back into basic drives, with, or with out saving the data. I needed that tool specifically, and since the program did not include it (asked for money when I tried), I dumped it.

This version claims to now include this ability, so I will give it a turn. If it does the same thing, asks for money, then it will be another program straight to the rubbish bin.

I appreciate the free programs, don't get me wrong, but sometimes, they give you a teaser version, while labeled PRO, but it really isn't PRO at all.

@Jim (Comments #28 & 29)

After shrinking your E:/ partition you need to move it to the end of the drive thereby placing the unallocated space before E:/ . Then you should be able to expand your C:/ to absorb the unallocated space.

Hope this helps you.

At the risk of sounding repetitious, If you don't have this in version 9.X.X, you really do need to get it. Trust me on this one. Five thumbs up!

This is one of the most valuable pieces of software you will ever own. And you WILL need it sooner or later. EASEUS is perhaps the most renowned authority in HD management tools and utilities. I know all about granddaddys, and this is the grandaddy of them all.

Grab this while you can, install it, and be happy as a clam. You'll be glad you did.

The labyrinthine registration requirements of many GAOD offerings and the multiple frustrations that frequently ensue do not leave much time or inclination to fully check out the software. You're shooting your free test group in the foot.

Hi, Thanks Ico Nitto (#17) for sharing Your experience when using Easeus Partition Masters Soft in the past including this specific version given today - in a detailed, easy to follow, comprehensive example of Software "in use".

Most people download (or buy) Partition Masters/Managers with specific purpose in mind - or to have it handy when need arises, but it might not necessary come with clear instructions of what one should pay particular attention to to avoid unpleasant "surprises".. And in Your case - rather than to blame Software - share with us what You were doing wrong. That's a massive help! Thanks for that:)

I don't need Easeus Partition Master Pro 9.1.1 right now (for System migration purposes that is, as it has other features to Manage disk) but will take this opportunity to have it handy, and Your (Ico Nitto) "tip" might help not only me.

Looks like a terrific new version. I do have a question however. When I started the software it spun up all of the drives connected to my CPU. It even found the SD card plugged into my printer. However, it did not see my network drive. Granted this drive is connected to my router, but ultimately it is seen by the operating system. Is there a way to manage my network drive using this software? Perhaps this software can't see it, but it would be nice if it could. I want to create a stand-alone partition for a very large group of files, but I need to do it on my network. Any response would be appreciated.

I created a small C: drive 68GB using GParted a long time ago It's been overrun by user files from all the software on the machine. It's now has only 9.4 GB free. I keep all my applications on the E: drive where there is 250GB of unused space

I'm trying to extend it and make it larger, but there is no free space before or after. The software won't allow me to resize it.

Am I missing something?

The last giveaway was Easeus Partition Master Pro 9.1.0. This is version 9.1.1. Does anyone have any idea what the differences may be or whether it pays to upgrade for what appears to be such a small revision.

For anyone that does not have Version 9 Pro, I just want to contribute that the program is fantastic and does everything advertised. If you believe you will ever have the need to adjust the size of a partition or delete, create, move or resize a partition, this is the program you want to use!
