Attention Flight Simulator X users! DRM Removal causes a fatal crash in FSX at startup, due to some sort of conflict with the multiplayer.dll module. I don't know the technical details, but FSX stopped working on my system after I installed DRM Removal, and then began working again after I uninstalled DRM removal.

Absolutely useless to me as I never did buy or will NEVER buy anything that even comes close to DRM protected stuff. Tough luck for the music and video industry since they will NEVER make any money with me.

This put a "Buy DRM removal" ion on my desk top.

I'd agree I'd never purchase it. When I emailed the company support during the give away they offered me the program for half price instead of fixing the activation. The software would not activate on EITHER day. I doubt it is that good anyways, the GUI looks like a 14 yr old made it.

This is an easy to use, straightforward DRM removal tool. The only thing i noticed is that when you hover over a command the cursor does not change shape. Would be nice if they could change this.

Did the job no probs. Now i can put all my purhased music on my ipod!

Activation didn't work!!! Like always software that you have to activate over the internet to make it work properly, doesn't work. I personally would not purchase this software just because of this. One
example you buy a piece of software for $100.00 then the company goes out of business or gets bought out. For what ever the reason you have to reinstall the software but you can activate it. Your screwed all you have is $100.00 worth of garbage then. I give it 2 Thumbs down out of 2.

This software appears to be from the same people who produced sound taxi, which has worked for me for years. However, it seems I may never know, as I am among the many who could not activate yesterday, and could not install today, despite encouraging messages from GAOTD.

The activation of this has been horrible. I followed the procedure, but the software produced an error. Contacted the company, saw today that the issue is resolved, but it still isn't working. GAOTD needs to choose an activation method and have all companies wishing to post software use that method.

Unable to install on Windows XP, SP3

Attempted installation and kept getting the "Activation Code is “I3UZSL"" problem so finally completely uninstalled from my system and moved on. I also ran CCleaner after uninstall.

Today, 7/23 I see a note above from GOTD saying the problem was sorted out and you could activate it today.

I had uninstalled the software but overlooked the .zip file so I unzipped and attempted reinstallation which failed, giving an error message that the giveaway for that product is over.

I would like to get this installed. Any ideas GOTD?

I tried to install on my Vista Home Premium 32-bit system yesterday evening and got the activation error, so i uninstalled it but kept the installer in case something was wrong. When i checked this morning and saw the activation error was resolved, i tried to reinstall the setup but it now says the giveaway is over. is there any chance to rerun the giveaway so that those of us who thought we had a bad installer or something else can get a chance to get this?

Regarding the activation issue, what about those of us in the U.S. who are at work (and have been at work since it was posted that things have been sorted out)? For those of us on the East Coast of the U.S., 23:30 GMT translates to 6:30 p.m. (or is it 7:30 p.m. due to GMT not recognizing daylight savings time?) Normally GAOTD allows you to install and register free software up to at least 11:59 p.m. PST to accommodate the West Coast of the U.S.

What are the chances of asking the DRM folks to extend things to 11:59 p.m.?

Quite a useful program and seems to work quite well, albeit fairly slowly. Unforunately, it has now reverted to the trial version and will only convert the first 3 minutes of a video file. Unless anyone has any suggestions (which don't involve paying!) I shall be un-installing.

I would very much appreciate if the software manufacturers could explain exactly how this works with Audible, step by step, as it seems to try to open itunes to play audible files and then it says the license of the audio file is not valid.

However the audio books themselves play fine in itunes and do have a valid license, so what is going wrong with the conversion?

Hey... Unfortunately even foloowing the same instructions like any other one, I've kept trying up to the last minute, and no way to activate my copy. Everytime I clicked on the 'get blablabla, it would come up w/ a window saying: Wrong activation code, already being used by another system! How come...? I do have a system, and that's my only one pc so far, and I'm sitting in front of it, like a dumb, willing to uninstall and feeling bad for all the time wasted uphere. Won't even use the 90sec trial conversion, since this won't be the everyday use sftw, anymore.. Thnx for the deal, GAOTD, anyways...

First ever problem with activating GAOTD software in the last 2 years.

Finally it is good to see this type of products for free which are usually expensive. DRM Removal is a good product that can be used to convert the music files to desired format and can be played in ipods and mobiles.

It won't activate. I get error message:

i downloaded the drm removal app from giveawayoftheday.com, installed it and clicked on Get Activation Code. it says "This product cannot be activated - the license code blah blah blah has already been activated for another windows installation with the system id blah blah blah.

i have never installed this app. what gives?

oh, also, they didn't bother including an uninstall, so i had to go through the control panel.

Installation failed. It says this edition has already been activated on some other system. I tried installing three times. But - now its late, and past bedtime..

I read thru the comments and did not see an answer to my problem, so here it is:
I installed in to my laptop fine and it registered it fine. I have been trying to install it to my tower and it installs/reinstalls fine, but it does not activate the reg key. It says that a different system number is already registered and using the SW key with an activation code and it gives me the old act code,. When i try this "old" code, it also does not work.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
Stats: both laptop and tower run WinXP Home SP3, and are on the same home network router (wifi and wired) I usually have no problem putting GAOTD SW on both, but this one is picky.

Didn't work, say license was already activated.

I can't activate the software. When I click the "Get Activation Code" button it just says that the product was already registered by another system running Windows with a different System ID. It gives me an old activation code but when I use that it says it's the wrong one. The online form to get the code doesn't work either. Did this thing expire already or is it broken? Shame...I really wanted to use this...

Will not activate. Setup completes, program starts, popup activation windows opens. Get system popup error message "The product cannot be activated. To add to my last comment, the activation is telling me that someone with my "system id" has already registered the product, and because of this, I cannot register it. Anyone know what's up? Looks like I'm not going to have time to activate it by the time the giveaway is up. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have tried and can't get it to activate.
The instructions say to click "Get License code" but there is no button that says that. The license is already filled in when I install and run it. I click activation code and it says that the license code was already installed on another computer. I have re-downloaded it several times and it is the same each time.
I tried clicking the link on the activation screen but that also tells me there is an error. It says to enter the license code which was sent to me in email... but since I just downloaded it here I have not received any emails.

I get an error activating the software. It tells me that the license code has already been activated for another Windows installation with a given System ID. It then says that my System ID is diffrent to the old one. Then it tells me what the old activation code is to which I then type it in but does not work. Something up or did I just miss the promo?

Got three different error messages when trying to activate this, the first that it has already been activated by another Windows installation blah blah blah. Second attempt tells me An Error has Occurred and for me to go to the website and activate manually. So I tried that, and it tells me a different error has occurred, and to email them for the code. Alas, by the time I get it via email, the activation window for this will be over, and I'll be stuck with the trial version anyway. :( Won't delete the program until tomorrow though, in case it actually lets me activate.

I got an error when trying to get the activation code
It said that the License in the pop-up was Already activated on another system, & gave the 'Old' code.
It would not activate.

Would never give me a valid registration code. Kept telling me that it had already been registered even though it was the first time I had installed it. Finally gave up after readying all the audio driver problems going on with Vista (I use Vista Ultimate 32 bit). I have other programs that I can do this stuff with already so I am not out anything.
