i got problem when my window was not up to dated and it deleted the graphic drivers and was unable to install latest graphic driver. Mess up after reboot. At least it needs to check drivers compatibility.

Be sure and ALWAYS create a RESTORE Point before letting any program make changes to your PC or Laptop.

Dear developers,
Its easy to use. Yet it needs some measures as for some latest drivers window needs to be up to date if not driver software will delete specific driver (in my case nvidia graphic driver) & after reboot problem might arise. Rest ok unless window installation is required.( I have formated it due to small screen after reboot cant install graphic driver.

Zero reason not to DL & install this great program. Not only does better than Windows 10 at finding ALL your outdated drivers or missing ones - it has a ton of great tools inside the program. From a great section on Windows Fixes kinda like the old MS Fix It Repair tool, but system info etc. You will not be sorry.

Can I select the programs I want to update the drivers on?

Reply   |   Comment by Gez  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

Gez, no, drivers are not program specific but are system wide objects.

Gez, Yes

You can only update hardware DEVICES with this (i.e. drives, video graphics, etc).

Reply   |   Comment by Boots  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Gez, Yes. The program will scan for driver updates and then list them at which time you'll be given the option of updating them all or only the ones you want to update.

No, Gez, this updates drivers, not programs.

@Lucas................Drivers are updated by software developers / manufacturers often due to a bug or a security flaw being found with the current version. To call driver-updating utilities useless is just bad advice. Iobit's Driver Updater Pro pulls their drivers from the manufacturer/software developer's websites themselves and their team is constantly checking and updating their database with reported driver updates. I have been in Information Technology for more than 30 years and can recommend this product as I have beta tested for them and use their product on my personal as well as test machines.

Driver-updating programs are useless and possibly harmful. Drivers should be left alone unless a new one adds desired functionality, and should always be obtained directly from the hardware manufacturer's website.

" Drivers should be left alone unless a new one adds desired functionality..."

IOW they should be updated when a new version becomes available. No one writes drivers because it's a fun thing to do -- they're usually updated to fix things.

"should always be obtained directly from the hardware manufacturer's website."

Nowadays unfortunately very many companies do not provide them for users to download, while some, like Intel, make things very difficult, unless you use their driver update app running constantly as a service.

Storage is relatively cheap -- a 120 GB SSD costs around $20 on sale, and an external USB housing can usually be found for ~$5 -- so use something like Macrium Reflect Free, backup the Windows and boot partitions, and no worries.

Lucas, I have yet to come across a single driver update program that is useless, let alone harmful. Every driver update program I have ever tried, including this one, is by design made to update drivers, which is inherently useful. I have never had a single driver update program cause harm to any computer I've ever installed one on. In fact, the only DRIVER that has EVER caused me any headache at all was a driver update to a wifi router in which the router itself did the updating not a driver update program, and even then, all I had to do was roll back to a previous driver version. As driver updates go, they are inherently a good thing to do because they are designed by the hardware manufacturer to add increased performance, functionality, and reliability by providing you with a driver that is better suited than the old one. IOBIT Driver Booster only provides driver updates from the hardware manufacturers website so they are as safe as they can get.

But Lucas, we have no access to hardware manufacturer's websites, so IObit Driver Booster provides a service we desperately need, and I have found it to be uniquely safe and reliable.

It also has fixed errors in Device Manager without me needing to troubleshoot anything,

... and it can remove histories of plug-n-play ( like if we want a computer to forget a particular thumb drive or USB drive ),

... and it can install the enter suite of Microsoft, Sun, and Adobe software drivers in support of enhanced user interface performance in many other dependent programs, and upadating those is a security demand, and now it's easy, too.

I use it and like it.

What have you explored of it's features and benefits?

I will say to backup our drivers with free Glary Utilities first.

These are just tools, folks.

Great program. I install it everytime it's available at GOTD since it gets deleted by malware programs from time to time. Note to me: Remember to keep or export the license key this time. :-D

And, Wayne Interessierts, it works in manual one-at-a-time mode when free with no Pro licenses ( though it does not then update Microsoft, Sun, and Adobe software drivers, or fix Device Manager errors ).

Just tell Malwarebytes to ignore IObit directories, and it will pass over IObit and not delete it.

Can I load this to a flash drive and use it on more than one PC?

Reply   |   Comment by sam  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

sam, Technically yes, but it will not be "portable" it will add autorun files to the pc and that pc will have iobit processes running on it even after the usb is removed.

Reply   |   Comment by Ned  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+5)

But Ned, there are no auto run anything NEEDED to run this program, so we all just turn them off anyway.

Hi sam, you can install this as many times as you want to, just be prepared for IObit to eventually say the Pro version licenses have been exhausted, then use it in manual non-pro mode, pretty much the same result, hardware driver wise.
