Downloaded, installed to a USB drive (where I like to keep such programs) and activated to full version simply and without any issues. I have no opportunity to test it right now but trust it will come in handy when needed.
Thank you DYD and GOTD teams.

jboy,
I am just curious if this USB installed program works on other computers.
My second computer quit on me this morning, so I can't check it.
I would appreciate your feedback.
Thank you in advance.

jboy, I saw that you had a -2 in your ratings. Apparently, there are many people who like to give a minus rating any time they see "thank you" when it comes to the comments we give. They're Grinches!

consuella, whether this will make it public unedited I have no control over but you can install it on the other computer, and unlock it and then backup the file Configure.dat from the installation folder to the folder you have the giveaway setup.exe file... Installing it on a USB stick will be problematic since it tries to install drivers and a shell extension on normal installation and the files may not always be present if they have been installed on a USB drive. When you get the other PC up just install it and then copy over the Configure.dat into the new installations folder.

M. Aronson, unqualified gratitude is unhelpful in a comment. It's like those 5 star reviews on shopping platforms that either say nothing relevant about the product purchased or give 5 stars and admit they have not even tried to use the product at all and just delivering a product is worth giving it a 5 star rating.
In my opinion useful or potentially useful comments should contain pertinent information about the giveaway product, terms, products operation, it's unique characteristics or lack thereof, any bugs encountered etc or questions on dealing with any problems experienced in participating in giveaway event so others can also read any answers posted to the questions and find answers to problems they too may have experienced but not had the will to ask themselves.
And before you complain that my comment was not useful because it does not talk about the giveaway product... I have already written several comments that are ALL awaiting moderation clearance before they can be seen publicly as will this one once I've finally posted it.

TK,
Thank you so much for your awesome tip. I would also like to thank the Moderator for being very helpful here by approving both -my post as well as the response from the tireless TK, who always finds time to help others.

I don't have a second pc here to try it however, I did have a previous version of this also installed on a USB and yes, that did work.

M. Aronson,
I hear you and thanks! I was raised with good manners and don't believe people need to behave like savages simply because it is the internet. When I receive a gift, I will always say 'thank you' to express my gratitude. If I have knowledge of the specific program, I will always share information of my experience however, that is not always the case.
The comment rating here states "did you find this comment useful" so while I may not rate a 'thank you' comment "yes", I certainly would not rate it "no". I would just bypass it. I am sure there are some miserable people who get a charge out of down-voting. In reality, they have nothing positive to contribute and are insignificant and easy to ignore.
I appreciate this site and always try to contribute as best I can. I may not have the same technical expertise as some others but I do what I can. And I will continue to do so.

It does not install on Windows XP SP3, "This program requires Windows NT version 5.1 Service Pack 4 or later."
So no xp, when sp4 for xp does not exist.
All DoYourData programs have been reporting this error for years.

JardaH, you can extract the installer with UniExtract (or other InnoSetup extractor) and directly run the executable.
Or use this guide - https://forum.exetools.com/showpost.php?p=72655&postcount=2
Change only the SP version to 4, and make sure to enable the "Propagate" setting.
Needs SSE2 though, because it uses QT5, so it won't run on my ancient system.

JardaH, VERY STRANGE Requirement, Indeed!!!

JardaH,
In one more month from now, Windows 7 support will end. I think you need to catch up with modern times and let the old just melt away. Keep it for older games. That's about it.

JardaH, The reason for this conflicting demand from the installer is that whoever wrote it did not see the same system requirements that we have been shown and included entries like this in the install_script.iss :
"[Files]
Source: "{app}\ActiveOnline.dll"; DestDir: "{app}"; MinVersion: 0.0,5.01 Service Pack 4; Flags: ignoreversion"
The MinVersion is the minimum Windows NT Version it will proceed with the installation of that lines file with. In the case above it is NT 5.01 Service Pack 4 which is an invalid version of windows. For it to match the sysrequirements it should be.
"MinVersion: 0.0,5.0 Service Pack 4;" Where the 5.0 corresponds to Windows 2000 NOT XP"
You can bypass all that by just using innoextractor or the innounp open source utility and manually install the extracted files or the vendor can fix their broken install_script.iss files in their products and recompile the installers or you could fix the script and recompile it yourself...
If you do install it manually after unpacking the inno installer package don't forget to run shellsetup.exe assuming your XP is 32bit and not 64bit... if you want shell integration.
This also a rebrand of AWE Eraser 3.0 that was given away here some time ago, same program component files same erasure methods with no custom pattern options for those of us that just want a nice null'd erased area that compresses really well on a compressed sector by sector image backup. Both these programs other tools "Uninstaller" lockup trying to load the loooong list of a few thousand installed programs on this system and has to be end tasked forcibly and the Disk repair tool in this is JUST an interface to use the systems CHKDSK /F /X command so is nothing special and in certain circumstances will do worse than using the tools tab on the drive properties to check q filesystem since that knows to ask about scheduling a chkdsk /f run at next boot up if you try to check the system or other actively used drive... this won't it will attempt to force a dismount of the system drive and all running programs which had files open on the drive at that point will fail either silently or catastrophically depending on how well it was written.

Robert Smith, I am still installing mionthly rollups on Vista SP2+ the version number has changed in the same manner as it would have if it had a SP3 installed "Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6003]" but it was done on the quiet not as a formal service pack so microsoft does not have to commit to a few more years of support like they do when a service pack was released for a product. If a person want's to use unsupported software it's their choice... ALL the versions of windows you own that are fully supported still have MANY vulnerabilites patched every month so either windows is bug ladened beyond repair or they maintain certain bugs and move them about as they are exposed or discovered and threatened to be exposed by the 3rd parties. If you harden your computing practices and settings you will not be exposed to the malicious state actors and other criminals exploiting the security through obscurity back door vulnerabilities in EVERY edition of microsoft windows from Windows 3.11 and up.

DoYourData, thanks for posting that. I have a few questions about the security level of the erasure methods employed by your implimentation of this software. What do you do with cluster tips and filesystem records of the files being erased?
Beyond the simple overwriting of the files current data there are other processes that need to be done to complete the mitigation of data leakage potential with files that may leak information if the previous files exact size is still retrievable from the filesystem. Also if a file was expanded to a size and filled up a cluster and then was later truncated or reduced in size so that the file no longer fills up the final cluster but still uses some of it so has what is referred to as slack space between file length and the space allocated in filesystem cluster units. When a file is erased to be certain everything that was associated with that file is erased so the overwrite passes should overwrite all allocated clusters in their entirety not just limited to the byte length of the data file. Also do you perform moultiple renames of the file being erased so no trace of the original file name remains within the file system and after completing the specified overwrite passes do you truncate the file to 0 bytes prior to deleting what's left of the file so no forensic software can determine the files original name, it's byte size or any left over data from cluster tips. And do you warn users on erasing if volume shadowcopy protection is enabled on the target drive that your program may cause excessive writes to the erased volumes VolumeShadowCopy Store which may result in loss of system restore snapshots and or previous versions snapshots. And if you bypass VSS on writing to VSS protected volumes do you warn users that to proceed with the non-VSS compliant erasing has a very high probability of leaving all the restore points in an inconsitant and ultimatly unusable state.

Phil Kennedy, Click unlock full version and enter registration, when I did it came up as invalid.

Phil Kennedy, does the title bar of the window say "DoYourData Super Eraser" OR "DoYourData Super Eraser Trial" ??
If it says the latter then it still need to have the license key activated and if there is no Unlock full version button in lower left window quadrant then you've encountered an undocumented feature (bug).
If it says the former and not the latter then you probably had a previous giveaway of a version 6.x of this and this installed over the top of it and re-used the old license data, in which case you need do no more to get it activated/unlocked.
