Dumo is a user-friendly driver updater that keeps your PC up-to-date and safe.

COVERT Pro - an innovative solution to ensure total privacy while working at the computer. It protects against spyware and has instant messenger with encryption. When working in secure platform, all user’s actions in all applications (browsers, email clients, office software, messengers, etc.) are safely hidden. Capturing data from keyboard input and monitor screen is blocked. Using special features of COVERT Pro (Network monitor, Driver monitor, System processes, System services) allows you to detect and remove all hidden applications. COVERT Pro allows you to block the microphone.

To protect against spyware, COVERT Pro uses the masking method. It is the most reliable method against spyware — masking action of user. It means creation of secure platform, inside which user can run any applications, while remaining invisible to the spies.

Built-in secure messenger allows you to communicate confidentially:

  • Attackers are not able to intercept the keyboard input and take a screenshot when you are writing messages inside of secure platform
  • You do not have to register for using messenger. Your address is serial number of Covert Pro
  • All outgoing messages are encrypted
  • The new encryption key can be set for each message and for each recipient.
  • Immediately after reading, your message will be deleted from the server.
  • You have ability to change the server for messaging. It is impossible to hack the server if you do not know where it is.
  • After closing the program, all the messages will be deleted from the computer. History of messages is not saved and any spyware cannot get access to it.

This version of COVERT Pro has user interface in seven languages: English, German, Italian, Czech, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish.

COVERT Pro increase the security level of your PC and provides confidential work and correspondence. Compatible with antivirus.

Dear users,
If after running the Setup.exe file the installation process does not start, try disabling your anti-virus suite. This a false-positive reaction to the protection system that we use to protect the installation files agains unauthorised access after the end of the giveaway.

If you get the 'files are corrupt' error, that means that your anti-virus system has damaged the installation files. In the case, use the following workaround:

1) disable the anti-virus suite and restart the computer. You need to disable all the anti-virus systems if you have more than one installed. Make sure it won't start automatically upon the system boot.

2) download the program archive once again and extract the contents to a dedicated folder

3) Carefully follow the installation instructions in the readme.txt file.

Make sure you switch your anti-virus back on after the installation. Please mind that all the files are checked for viruses beforehand, so you may rest assured, the installation is 100% safe.

Sorry for the inconvenience and have a nice day.

Always yours,
GOTD Team

Don't know why I am being down-voted for saying "thank you" to the people who commented how to fix the issue earlier comments were having, including myself. I am just confirming the OP's comment so people won't think they'll experience new issues.

The application is up and running, and I am happy. Is anyone having other issues? Oh well.

Just wondering can the encrypted chat this software provides be weaponised and used by criminal and terorists cells to comunicate in such a way that their comunications cannot be intercepted or traced, discovered or decrypted by anti-teroririst organisations?

After all none of us truly need weapons grade uncrackable encryption in our day to day activities.

Reply   |   Comment by TK  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-9)

TK, Terrorists and criminals already use encryption. Uncrackable encryption is here to stay. However, intelligence agencies, like the NSA, have ways to take advantage of the software and user's mistakes.

TK,
All people have the right to privacy of correspondence. Do not assume that all of them are potential terrorists.
There are many cases when a terrorist used a kitchen knife. Do you propose to ban kitchen knives and make all the people in the kitchen to cut food with his hands?

Reply   |   Comment by COVERT  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+1)

COVERT, that is not strictly true, the privacy accorded to most of us is not an absolute right, it can be removed by court order, even in USA the 5th Amendment that reserves the right to not be compelled to give evidence that would incriminate ones self BUT if a warrant had been issued for the contents of a computer harddrive and it was encrypted then the court could order the owner to divulge the key needed to decrypt the drives contents and if the owner refused they could be imprisioned for contempt of court until such time that they complied with the court order. Since divulging the key in itself does not constitute incriminating evidence.

One can wear stab/cut resistant armour to protect against a kitchen or other knife so is not too effective a weapon, plus they will usually cut the assailants own hand since they are not built to prevent the hand sliding up the handle into the blade when stabbing...

The above means that a kitchen knife is not fully weaponised, BUT you roam around the street with a 7 inch carving knife in hand and get seen by enough people and you will probably be arested and prosicuted for carrying an offensive weapon. When used in the proper environment even a 7 inch blade is perfectly legal but take it out of the proper environment and it is BANNED there.

No matter anyway, When I asked the original question I had forgotten how your "secure" messaging system worked... the limited nature of the keys that can be entered and the fact that the system uses plain unencrypted FTP that is easily intercepted makes the secure messaging not too difficult to break given the right incentive so it wouldn't be of interest to criminals or terrorists. In other words no it cannot be weaponised.

Reply   |   Comment by Mike  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Mike,
Chrome browser running in the secure platform of our program without problems. But before running it inside the platform, you should exit it if it worked before launching Covert Pro. Some programs can not simultaneously run inside and outside the platform.

It would be nice to know a little more about the developers behind the software, since this is a new software and especially since GOTD is advising us to disable our own system's protections to install this product. Who are the developers and what other (reputable) products have they created in the past?

Does GOTD indeed have all the expertise needed to test that this software is purely for the customer's benefit and will not install any backdoors in my system??

Thanks.

Will this program will help removing spyware that come with "attachments"? I read an article that one should never open any attachments because keyloggers can get in. I opened an attachment (on my other computer) and now I regretted it, I don't trust this person anymore, so I want to know if Covert will block the keyloggers that people send inside their "attachments"? If I download this program, can I freely open any Email attachment? Thank you!

Val,
COVERT Pro can block the launch of any application inside a secure platform if you set the mode to 2. But it does not analyze incoming mail. If you already have a spyware installed on your computer, you can find and remove it using built-in monitors.

I am confused. According to the website, the latest version is
COVERT Pro v. 3.0.1.24 yet the one you are offering here is
COVERT Pro v. 3.0.31.24. How is hat possible?

Secondly, I have COVERT Pro AE v. 3.0.20.22. Is the "AE" something different?

Thanks.

*How is That possible?

Reply   |   Comment by jboy  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

jboy,

Both versions (3.0.1.24 and 3.0.31.24 ) have the same functionality.
But version 3.0.31.24 is specially made for today's giveaway since it is registered with one key.

Reply   |   Comment by COVERT  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

jboy, the explanation is extremely simple. The build created for this giveaway is a custom build specifically built for this giveaway so that the registration key supplied will ONLY activate this build which is only installable during the duration of the giveaway.

I strongly suspect that functionally it is identicel to the current release build and just the registration hashing is tweaked to accept the giveaway key that is all.

Of course the vendor has made a fundimental error and that is since the ONLY uninstall functionality is included in the installer it means that for giveaway participants to uninstall this outside the duration of the giveaway they will have to also download the matching version from the vendors website as the giveaway build installer/uninstaller WILL NOT RUN outside the giveaway duration.

I downloaded this at the last GOTD. It works great. I have Win 7 64bit using IE 11. I tried a test using Covert Pro. I use outlook/Hotmail. You know when you shop for stuff or search with google, you soon receive adds for what you looked at in the advertisement section next to your email page. In my test looked for routers using Covert pro, and I looked at least 6 different sites selling routers. I exited Covert pro and returned to using my email. NO adds, nothing relating to my search for routers. I tried the test again, and No adds!!! Covert pro really allows for privacy...Love it!

Installed and registered without any problem. After adding "Opera" 64 bit and Microsoft Edge" and running the big "Login To Secure Platform" I can't get Opera or Microsoft Edge to run inside the software?

Any suggestions? Everything else seems to run fine in it that I have tried though.

I seem to be confused. There is a readme text file, the setup.exe file, and the setup.gcd file. I opened the .exe setup, and it just activated something without installing the program.

I can assume the .gcd file is what installs the program, but there are no default Windows programs that support this file type. Can there be instructions for this so I can install the program?

Thank you.

KarpChung, - temporarily turn off your virus software. Then try again. I use AVG and it often interferes with program installs, reading a false positive.

Running setup will give you a notice that the program has been installed, but there is no desktop shortcut or program that I can find on my rig.

I believe that's what @Frustrated is referring to!

I think COVERT needs to re-check the files.

Reply   |   Comment by Read for Context  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Read for Context,

By default, the installer creates a shortcut on the desktop.
By default, the program will be installed in the directory Program Files/COVERT Pro AE.
If this did not happen, then there are problems with the Setup.exe that you have got from GOTD.

Reply   |   Comment by Frustrated  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Frustrated,

You need to run the installer to install the program. After installing the program, run it. Click on the Registration button. In the opened window, you will see that the universal registration key is entered already. Click on the button "Register". For program registration you do not need to enter the key, since it is already in the registration field.

Reply   |   Comment by COVERT  –  4 months ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

The ZIP contains the installer, and if you run Setup.exe, the program is correctly installed. However, the installed does NOT add the usual shortcuts in your start menu, and if you have unticked the option to create a shortcut on the desktop, the only way to launch it is to open "C:\Program Files (x86)\COVERT Pro AE" and manually launch Protection.exe. This installation problem is of course a problem, but that doesn't mean that the program itself is bad. And, of course, you can create yourself a shortcut in your start menu.

The program is a sort of sandbox. I prefer the free version of Sandboxie, a very good sandbox tool, but this one might be good too.

Roland,

my situation seems to be different. My steps were extracting it to a sole folder.

https://www.screencast.com/t/Qjy8FZALTYFK

I then opened the .exe program and it displayed only these two windows.

https://www.screencast.com/t/19XjTjx7Wj
https://www.screencast.com/t/MM0IS3xD0uGG

When I click "close," it brings me to a web page congratulating my activation, and it offers me no further instructions.

https://www.screencast.com/t/YHSuqWgC

I took what you said and went to my programs folder to see if it installed but didn't display the shortcut. It does not seem to be the case even when I search the entire hard drive.

https://www.screencast.com/t/1eQLl0MLS

The instructions are vague, so maybe there can be an update to help make the process a little bit easier? Thank you for reading.

Frustrated, The first thing you have to do is disable your anti-virus programs. then run the .exe file, the gcd file works with the .exe file to assist in the registration.
I have found that gotd downloads that have a .gcd file in them that this is a requirement just to get the program installed. You will still have to go through the registration process.
AND DO NOT FORGET TO TURN YOUR ANTI_VIRUS PROGRAM(S) BACK ON!!
