Installation and registration worked fine for me. Is it so hard to change the language from the default Deutsche to English? It was one of the first things that came up during the installation.

I have successfully registered this giveaway without asking for the serial but used this serial which was given in an earlier message:

I simply installed the software and when I first ran it and it had the request serial window show. I shut the program then reopened it and a new window showed offering the option of entering a serial from the clipboard.

As I had earlier copied the above serial number; I pasted it and hey presto; program opened offering full use and without the earlier warning of 7 days left of trial version showing.

I am running Win 10, 64 bit.

Easy, peasy.

To be clear this is a different program than the original CDRwin. The original program was a great little piece of software. I have no idea how this rates. Of course it would help if I could get the registration code and try it.

Software failed to activate. Several attempts, kept getting an error message in German.

It puzzles me how someone can rate a program that they can't try due to no serial number being received.

I still use cd´s and I have a cd Audio burner too and I crate many cd´s with my favorite songs and I have high demeand´s of the quality of the music so for me are Spotyfi just bad and for those as have qvantity* before quality, that´s why I allways want to use CD Disc to play my music on real Cd Disc Players

I am trying to install this to my D: drive instead C: drive but this installer would not let me change the drive letter to install it on D: drive.

CDRWIN is a great little product historically and this version still runs with my XP O.S.

Like the majority of responses here, I jumped through all the usual hoops, only to be met with the following error message prior to registration: "Currently no service available or internet connection is broken." This does make one wonder exactly how many of the 'positive' voters were actually able to install this software.

Same issue as everyone else.

I followed what they need, to check to subscribe to their newsletter, provided them with two different emails waited an email from them for the key for no avail. Then i tap the flag I saw a message saying. " no service avaiable or internet connection" "Zurzeit ist dieser service nitchdug" verfugbar oder es bestehl keine Internetverbindug"

It doesn't work, wonder so many are not getting anything in their email.

The pop-up window that asks for the email address to send the serial number fails. It starts in English, then switches to German, but does not respond to the entry of the email address.

Getting a "Currently no service available or internet connection is broken" message when I enter my Email address to get a serial number. Error has been happening for past 2 hours.

I also get an error message in German...can't get serial number to activate.

Tried three different email addresses

Completed serial form, no serial via email... hmm...

Then I tried to uninstall and reinstall and the serial window won't pop up now! Guess I won't be trying this software.

Sorry guys... this one I won't even bother downloading... the interphase looks like it is only useful for AUDIO..... Let me ask you: when was the last time you used a cd?? this is obsolete, rendered useless! At least for me...

Never received serial number via email :(

Installed on two personal PC. Link was sent on second attempt only. Registration key newer arrived.

Program installed correctly, however when I try to enter the serial number it will not take it? I received the serial number via email, start the program, the registration pop up opens, I click on enter serial, I insert the serial number form clipboard, and then hit ok, but nothing happens and I am left with the pop window sitting there not accepting the valid serial number??

Please advise as to how to fix this issue. Thank you.

BurnAware Free beats CDRWIN 10 hands down.

Soft was good on Win9x (original CDRWin) because contained driver that was not build-in in OS.

On NT platform (Win2k/XP/etc) it's just another interface-dummy. Millions of them (and free ones to)

The CDRWin name has been around since x486 days, a burning software whose development was actually abandoned by author Jeff Arnold a decade and more ago. German software publisher Engelmann revived it, yet now appears to have likewise given up on it, seeing as how CDRWin is nowhere to be found in its current inventory:

so if you like today's GOTD, the purchase price (or re-install price) isn't high.

That said, Engelmann continues to be inexplicably coy about version details, because as with the last time this was promoted on GOTD -- back in April, 2014 -- specifics are non-existent. Assuming that the latest version is 10.0.14.106, then the Softpedia link is good value.

I've used various iterations of CDRWin over the years and found it to be a fairly satisfactory performer. In my experience it was, however, increasingly out-matched in terms of speed and stability by both the free and paid-for versions of Ashampoo's Burning Studio, this latter the subject of ongoing development whereas CDRWin 's seems now to have stopped or been abandoned.
