Does not work. Does nothing. I gave it a 45 minute video to compress. One day later it was still in a comma with no progress bar but an "hourglass" indication.

A bit late in the day, but the free ffmpeg in a for loop will transform videos from one resolution to another. It is a command line program.

Installed easily. Seemed to work, but the output video did not have sound. Used 35 video compression, 80 audio compression. Reduced an approximate 1 hour video from 4.5GB to 57MB.
There was no provision for explicitly setting the size (px x px) of the output, which I had the impression was a feature. That would have been very useful, since a smaller video would certainly a smaller file size without compromising quality. Also, there was no visible indication that it was working, nor that it was done, which was explicitly shown on the website.

I tried this program on a short video clip of a marching band.
Compressing using the default 50% compression for video was too much as it gave a bad quality video.
It reduced from 155 MB down to 42 MB when set to at approx 25% compression.
Original video rate was 23 Mbps, compressed was 6.3 Mbps.
The resulting quality was good.

With the lossless compression capabilities of H265 compression I would look for conversion software such as Handbrake or VLC video player that includes that capability.

i have downloaded and done preliminary testing of the software, l can confirm it is a very descent software. I hope to test it further and identify areas of further enhancement.

It doesnot accept any video with an error "You dont have permission to open this file.." The files concerned are all played outside the application..

You say it isn't lossless, ergo the lower the size, the lower the quality. So we could end up with a small video, taking up very little space, but not worth watching?

Well, experience has taught me that a one hour video of TV quality may sometimes be offered or filmed with a size of as much as 15GB or more when perfectly adequate quality can be obtained with as little as 500MB, so I do see a value in the program.
What does puzzle me is that it is offered here for Windows when the only web-page I could find for it on the maker's site shows it as a Mac product.

Well,
I'm happy to see this program. Very often I'll try to send a video over email, messenger, etc. Usually tech support troubleshooting videos. But every place has file size limitations. Even Imgur has a limit and using Youtube or even GDrive is a pain.
I certainly don't need top quality.
This program is perfect.
