Thanks a lot for your explaining, so I did learn:
" %System% refers to %WINDIR%\system32 " in 32 bit OS.

It doesn't recognise Chinese music titles, also Hindi, etc.
Why stop at English titles? Why not provide the ability to tag Chinese, Hindi (Bollywood), Japanese, Indonesian music, etc.? (At least Malay/Bahasa Indonesia uses the alphabet.) The others may be a bit difficult -- at first....
Anyway, their "support" is non-existent: Even though it SAYS on the GOTD downloaded files, "If you have any problem with registration, contact 'Support'," when I did, they simply wrote back that they don't support the GOTD offering.
So, like Alice (and tea), "It wasn't very civil of you to offer it then."

Installed on Win7-64 system but I had to disable my real-time anti virus to avoid the dreaded "Failed to launch".
It installed 3 other programs with asking- very sneaky.
Tested it on an mp3 folder with about 1300 files inside. It immediately gave me an error log - it cannot recognize foreign letters in filenames (ie. à,ç,é,ô,ë,ÿ,ü).
The interface feels very dated- like windows 98 old ... because of this and it's inability to recognize basic things, I don't feel I can trust the results.
So i've uninstalled it and thumbs down.

I choose not to download a small minority of GOTD software based on the software developer. This was from own experience and/or numerous bad reviews/complaints by a multitude of other users.
For example:
1) Long ago there was a company named Algo-Logic which has since morphed into PCWinSoft.
2) KC Softwares
3) SoftOrbits - after a short while, every of its software becomes a "Trial version".
4) IObit - (overly aggressive software that can badly affect your PC)
5) Franzis - (convoluted extremely complicated activation process that requires user to do somersaults and back flips)
6) Youku website - (you need to install their Youku download client + QQPCMgr utility, which purports to be an anti-malware agent. They take over your PC and change the Winsock settings. They insert hundreds of registry entries into your PC. I counted at least 380 registry entries)
But YMMV and you may actually like their stuff. If so, then good for you.

Download just fine on Win 7 64bit. It found some music and provided errors for others....The music with errors play just fine. This is useless. As an added bonus...AudioGrail adds programs for: software update, clean computer and driver update. Uninstalled.

Looking for a program that will allow downloading of sound files, not programs which will record from computer speakers, like "All Sound Recorder Vista", as you have to wait for the entire music or talk to finish.
With the "downloading' software, there is noo need to wait.

Thanks for advising!
Can you tell me where the macdll.dll (Version 3.97, 184kb) has been installed?
I tried another way by extracting but don´t know where to put this library.
Thanks!

Installed on Windows 10 x64 laptop.
Quick download, installed in less than 30 seconds, popup with username and password for activation. No problems with the installation, couldn't have been smoother.
Did not have a file to hand to test, so no comments about the application.

Thanks for that in-depth analysis. That was about as informative as pissing into the wind.

Installation and registration went smootly.
Interface looks a little bit old, but it is completly compatible with mine XP pro user experience.
During disk scan program touches/opens all files [scanning by file signature?] what is
unexpected and I'm not sure desirable. I recognize it because it cries - that something went wrong
and shows me scanLog that inform m that some niepł?asz?ę.pdf is unavailalble.
That do something with app to recognize national characters in file names during scan or don't
scan not music data.
MIne library isn't completed yet that I cannot say more about that app.
Thanks KC Software!

XP Pro? I don't mean to troll you but just offer some advice. You are not secure online using an unsupported OS. Might I suggest that if you are unable to update to a supported version of Windows you explore the flavors of Linux that are available to return your machine to safe usability? You will need to back up your files before installation of course but you can run from a usb stick or cd until you decide what build meets your needs and comfort level. Some of the new ones, Linux Mint, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, etc. are very user-friendly and the support folks on the various forums are much friendlier and more helpful than I remember from years gone by. Of course, many of your familiar windows programs and apps won't work without jumping through some hoops, there are lots of open source alternatives out there. Like I said, just offering this in the spirit of trying to be helpful, no offence intended.
