Good day. One question - what is the point in installing obsolete software in your PC while you get updates of windows so often it is easy to envisage certain lack of compatibility between the two...

This is probably a great program, but I feel like the blind leading the blind when it asks my approval to remove files without giving me adequate information, such as the date it was created. For example Microsoft Software Files it says I don't need and lists 2 files from Windows Defender Scans/History/Results, also so some Bug Error reports. If these are old files fine, but if they are recent, then NO!

I am still afraid to let anything change my registry, especially since it doesn't seem to offer to create a Restore Point before making changes.

It cleaned up a LOT of junk that had been missed by other service apps. It also gave me the full info for some of the items in question, so I could decide if I wanted them deleted or not. This app is a keeper; thanks!

Ran this and it deleted all my browser history and tabs. They are not what I would consider unimportant files. It also logged me out of all of my sites.

Had this issue with Ashampoo before. Unable to register the product. Had the email link but no licence key and when I enter my account details I get a message that the key cannot be found. Tried with two different email addresses.

Installed ver. 18 good, Im using version 17 mainly for the boot time options. If its as good or better then 17 then i give it a thums up for this package.

Used Ashampoo software for over 10 years and never had a bad word for this company.
Ignore the negative votes. Dont know why they have a chip on their shoulder with this software. Very good program.

I am big fan of Ashampoo products and have bought and use many of them (Sticky Password, Snap 10, Uninstaller 9, Driver Updater, Zip Pro 3, PDF Pro, Burning Studio, etc.) on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the two times I have attempted to use WinOptimizer, I have had to restore my entire system from backup (ironically, Ashampoo Backup). Luckily, their backup app is great. So, if you install and run this optimization application, be sure to have a valid and recent backup since your computer may not even boot afterwards.

Cannot activate - follow the steps using my Ashampoo account info, "No license key found."

I really like most of Ashampoo's software. I tend to be very critical of most free or budget software, but Ashampoo has a proven track record of reliable, quality software in my experience.

I can't see how to register this- any help is appreciated!

How is this different from ccleaner?
When I used to run ccleaner, I never noticed a difference in performance, but I've read numerous times that messing with the Registry, etc., is dangerous, so I stopped. Does this program really make a difference?

Not a bad little program at all. Catches everything Ccleaner and Glary misses!

Can this be placed on a thumb drive to be used between computers?

I've used one version or another of Ashampoo WinOptimizer for years. I currently use version 19. I have found it to be thorough, effective, and safe.

For activation, you need an Ashampoo Account but that is a one-time thing.

Once created, you only need to login into your Ashampoo Account in the future from within the programs and then use the activation e-mail you get to activate the programs.

After that, go into your Ashampoo Account and disable all the notifications (emails), so you won't receive any advertisement, discounts or similar from Ashampoo.

You need to repeat that step every time you activate a program, since those notifications will be re-enabled after activation of any program.

Other than that, thanks Ashampoo and GOTD for the offer, a lifetime license is always welcomed.

It's the same as version WinOptimizer 2021, & it is very useful.

Sorry, but no windows optimizer will ever be complete (for win 10) without a way to completely disable things like cortana!

Cortana (and friends like "smart screen") are why I am about to move to Linux, but since I have so many programs that wont run on Linux (even with WINE) I will always need a windows machine (tried to stay on 8, but some critical software needs 10).

So consider this a suggestion to improve your program!
