I do not like so-called automatic backups even if the developer claims it's software is running in the background. I prefer to backup when my PC is not in use. What is not clear with this product is whether or not it does incremental backups, that is, it is intelligent enough to recognise only new files or files which have changed and delete on the destination drive earlier file versions now out of date. If the Ashampoo software simply replaces one full backup with a new full backup then it obviously is no good for what I need.
