I always wonder when one of these backup programs are offered. At the end of the one year license, what happens? This the backed up copy no longer accessible? GOTD should require companies that offer software to explain what happens when the license expires.

The code supplied in the readme file wasn't working when I first installed this software earlier today, but I contacted the support team at AOMEI who have reactivated it. I was impressed by the speed of their response. I have been using the free version of their software for many years, and can say that I've always found that it worked very well.

This is among the best Backup programs. Thank you AOMEI and GAOTD.
I have a previous version Professional 4.0.2 which is Lifetime. Works very well. In no circumstances do I want to lose the Lifetime version.
Can I install this 1-year version without losing my Lifetime version? THis is VERY IMPORTANT to me.

nirve, If you have a lifetime key already you can update to all future versions free of charge just tell the installer to reserve the licence when upgrading. Do not use the key from the giveaway!

nirve, It will most likely just overwrite the older version and you probably will lose your lifetime sub. Happened to me on another app.

nirve, I am unsure the precise license you have but I got a lifetime license from years ago and prior to uninstall of the existing version I opt to save the existing license to be applied to the new version easily when prompted... I just upgraded from 7.2.3 to todays offering and it shows as Pro still and no request for new license code entry. Maybe perform a system backup with the 4.0.2 and create bootable media if supported and try todays, watching out for prompts during installation/uninstallation of old version and if you lose the lifetime license just restore from your recent backup with the lifetime license.

nirve, no. You *should* be able to uninstall today's v. 7.3.3, reinstall and activate you current v. 4.0.2 in the future if you wish, but AOMEI has been great about offering Backupper once or twice a year on GOTD before the license expires.

I use Syncback Pro to mirror sync folders, BUT keeping multiple copies over time, just in case I mess up.
I do not see this feature with this software. Could anyone please clarify if it´s available??

andario, appears to have basic automatic sync no historical archiving of changes, no support for direct sync to cloud storage services, if you want to sync to cloud for disaster recovery you'd need to use the services local client and sync to the local folder that gets synced by the local 3rd party client so no ransomware protections.

This is one of the best backup programs you can get. I've been using it for at least 10 years; I love experimenting on my PC and it's save me on so many occasions I've lost count. Thanks for making it available. This is a keeper.
