today, i restart pc, run the s/w.
surprisingly, the s/w spring into action with full energy.
i search 2 songs with title or you-tube url in "find music" & "video to mp3" section.
no problem, instantly appear, much faster in speed.
can play and can download as mp3 saving in pc.
totally different from yesterday, no action.

i think it has enough rest after swimming all the way to my pc from the other end of internet.
look like AmoyShare has overcome some issues in win10 os as i run a update on the s/w yesterday.
done a good job.
anyway, thanks GOTD & AmoyShare.

I realize this is comparing apples to oranges, but why does anyone bother downloading and saving mp3 music anymore at all? Music services like Spotify stream "extreme" quality music from TVs, cell-phones, computers, and Amazon Echo (Alexa) type devices. There are also provisions to save it and play it while not connected to the internet. The song lists are very easy to create and are accessible from ALL your devices. I'm up to over 300 songs in just one of my songlists. They do this all for $9.99 a month. It hardly seems worth the bother of untrustworthy web sites and poor conversions and constant searching for your poor quality songs. There are only a few artists that don't list on Spotify. Otherwise their choice is hugely immense. $60 for today's program is ridiculous in comparison.

Pretty useful.
Easy to navigate, and I can get almost all the music I want.
The best part is that I can download the music directly to iPhone without iTunes.
Can't figure out why there're quite a few negative comments. I have not come across the problems mentioned in the comments yet.

The software is slow to find anything and then takes forever and when you find anything it just seems like it wont download so i say 0 stars for this useless program. I was not a bit impressed.

Ok same problem as Donald. Updated new "fixed" version for win 10 and did a search for songs and it just keeps on endlessly spinning. Very frustrating! Will it be fixed?

try to search in "find music" section, no action.
then try to search in "video to mp3" section with 3 songs by teresa teng and 1 by andy lau.
1 out of the 4 songs has no action, the other 3 can play but can't download.
all above is from you-tube site.
the whole process is very slow.

no choice, try to update the s/w because it is available and it is to fix win10 issue.
and then everything is no return, as it is overwritten the downloaded copy from GOTD.

restart the system, run the s/w.
this time, the other way round.
try to search in "video to mp3" section, no action as the icon don't turn at all.
then try to search in "find music" section with 1 song in same url before update.
it works only can play, cannot download.
the speed is slower than just now before update.

i think this toy is not for win10 os.

MP3 is c-r-a-p! Don't settle for MP3. Use a lossless codec such as FLAC or, better still, .wav. Storage is cheap so don't settle for third-rate compressed sound.

10 years ago there would have been a need for this software, but a 1 year license for a service for something that VideoGrabby or others can do for free without downloading software kinda negates the need these days. Think I'll pass on this GOTD.

Please help me understand, how is it legal to download music this way but not from torrents?

Reply   |   Comment by Just Curious  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+6)

Just Curious,

So...you've never...ever... streamed a movie...used a torrent site...borrowed and burned a copy of a friends DVD or CD...scooped an old copy of MS Word or Publisher...used someone else license key...downloaded an image from Google or just looked at one...same #&@*, different pile...
Probably never went over the speed limit...coasted thru a stop sign...grabbed that nifty pen off someone's desk or drank underage either...
Must be a reak angel ...

@ Joey
Haven't install it (yet?) on my Win10 x64 laptop. Used their own browser link http://www.amoyshare.com/free-mp3-finder/ to search for an opera Aria. Sure it takes time to do so, as there's no such thing as AnyMusic library but, instead it combs the YouTube site — displaying a sort of 'found' list for you to choose from; those video clipss may contain a live perfornace clip or a Vinyl/CD track. It then presents the possibility to download the extracted audio track, usually in its original ".m4a" format.

Click on the Download button. and wait. If you're lucky you'll see three lines: "Choose a file to download | m4a n.nnM | MP3 Unknown Size". Right-click the 'M'-shown line on the right of m4a, give the file a name, and save it.
_

@Just Curious
Is it legal? Yes, as long as AmoyShare is fishing within that "legally uploaded" video pond.

Mothman,

Did you REALLY need to be a wiseass rather than just answering the question? Or do you just really feel the need to be a troll?

If you really think you're that high and mighty see if you can actually answer the question rather than just being a dick considering there is an actual legitimate answer and no....it's not the one you think it is.

Because yes.....there is a LEGAL response unlike the "borrowing a friend's DVD or using a torrent site".

Reply   |   Comment by SwattingMoths  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

Mothman,
My question is not a moral judgment, but a legal curiosity.
How can an app that pirates music can be sold legally for 60$ per year, is my question.
All of the above you mentioned are free resources, not by the choice always, but it is legally impossible for them to not to pay the license fee for a song and still give you a copy of it to download, which is what this app does exactly.
So, why would you pay 60$/yearly membership fee, while you can download free from the torrent if at the end you will get the same penalty on the court when you get caught?

Peter

1 year license doesn't make sense for me....and how about Android?
Anyway, to find FREE music online this excellent free app:

http://www.xamasoft.com/songr

It lets you perform a track search using lyrics, download clips from YouTube and save them as MPEG video or MP3 audio, play local audio tracks with the MP3 format etc....

Thank you for the info. One issue I have never understood about links here. When I click the link I get warnings the page is unsafe, etc. The page does not want to load. When I copy and paste the link the page loads with no problem. Any ideas why this happens?

Windows 7 Professional 32-bit Service Pack 1 (build 7601)

This offer would be more attractive if it were not limited to one year -- the subscription model, which unfortunately appears to be gaining ground, does not lead to joy and happiness.
On my machine, the program would not open until I had downloaded CoreAudioToolbox.dll (https://fix4dll.com/coreaudiotoolbox_dll) and written it to c:\Windows\System32.

William W. Geertsema, a phrase that comes to mind is, "Do not look a gift horse in the mouth." To have a programmer's software listed on GOTD is a promotion for the software, the eventual sale of which decides if he can put bread on the table for his family or not. Don't be so ungrateful and think about why the software is here in the first place!

Reply   |   Comment by Tony Gale  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+7)

Tony Gale, I have to agree with you. I find myself able to "pick apart" every offering if I decide to do so, but, it's my understanding the daily downloads are free and provided by GOTD as a mechanism for exposure. I'm sure there are folks out there that have the expertise to find fault in every offering. I have chose to either take it or leave it and when I do take it, I am thankful for the "free" software. These offerings are here for us to choose whether or not we take them, so that is my approach. If I don't like what I see I just pass, otherwise I take it and enjoy it for what it is.

Reply   |   Comment by Contevou  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-5)

Tony Gale, with due respect, this is not a gift horse, but a loaned horse. If I interpret the phrase "the offer includes a one year license!" correctly, after one year the horse will refuse to pull the plow or the cart, and will gallop off.

I intended to comment constructively, as witness the link I provide for downloading a missing DLL.

As regards the different ways of offering software:
Some frequently encountered methods are the following:
A) A program is offered for indefinite use (i.e. unlimited in time), and lifetime upgrades/updates; such offers generally demand a payment.
B) A program if offered for indefinite use, with free minor updates. The offer may, or may not, require payment.
C) A program is offered for indefinite use, but a major upgrade entails additional payment. The offer may, or may not, require payment.
D) A program is offered for temporary use (e.g. one year), and will cease to function after that, unless a new license is purchased. If the first period also requires payment, this is the full subscription model.

(Needless to say, there are other important aspects of software offers (per user or per machine, how many machines, concurrent use, ability to reinstall, etc.), but they are not relevant to the present discussion.)

Many users (me included) have a strong preference for method A.
Of course, as prospective buyer you want to be confident that the developer is not fly-by-night, AND that he intends to update/upgrade his software. Whether or not the software has been marketed for some time already, and has a documented history of improvements, is a good indication.

Giveaway of the Day offers generally follow method C, without initial payment, but with additional payment for later versions.
BitsDuJour offers generally adhere to any one of the four described methods, in almost all cases with initial payment.

I purchase software frequently (generally several programs each month).
If I trust the program and the developer, and if an option of lifetime updates is offered, I generally go for that option (unless prohibitively costly).

I fail to see why expressing a preference for indefinite use, and even for lifetime updates, shows a lack of gratitude toward developers.
I share your opinion that free offers by Giveaway of the Day are valuable, and developers deserve credit for making them possible.

[ William W. Geertsema ],

Thanks, that solved my problem, too.
__________

I appreciate the enormous amount of effort and skill it takes to create anything, but ...

1 -- save your time reinventing programs that already exist,
and stand on their shoulders to create something new
( for example,

... AbelsSoft YouTube Song Downloader autofills from a cut-and-paste link from searching you've done in your browser,
has a strong search feature, got way more results,
includes video preview before selection,
includes the Vevo web site,
and is free, forever

... AmoyShare does less,
reverts to the web-browser-only interface after a year, presumably,
but does show your library, er, one directory at a time,
and does promise to export to a device for remote review, which I didn't try,

... Microsoft Windows Explorer is more flexible for me for moving and copying files around,
and easily includes subdirectories or songs gathered via the Explorer search

... others here offer other competitive software to review,
thanks gang )

2 -- study GOTD archives to see how we play :
we are not a beta test site,
we hate getting less than a fully working working version,
we hate getting older versions compared to what's available direct from the vendor on the same day,
and we hate expiring trial periods
( we also hate non-re-installable versions
... but hey, we do accept compromise begrudgingly ).

So, thanks, AmoyShare, for another tool in my toolbox which I may use on occasion if my primary tools ever fail.

But when this expires, I see no compelling reason to purchase it.
.

VERY basic program. Not worth $60 in my opinion, especially for one year of service. It worked and then failed to work on my Win10 but it is very, very, very sloooooow to find any music that I searched for and\or actually to start downloading the music. It downloaded just fine in M4A format but when I tried MP3 format, it failed on three selections. PLUS, you can only "work" with but one selection at a time. Moving to another seems to cancel the previous action.

hello,

i'm download the software via "giveawayoftheday" - i install the program and crate new user name and password and after that i log in to the software
but it's show me that i am on free trial plan

why?

Reply   |   Comment by eran  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

You need to go to the web site in the readme file & register for the program. Re-start the program & in the upper right at the top click on "Log In" then check for up dates. It will then ask if you want to upgrade the program, click yes. The update has bug fixes for Win10. After the update re-start the program & you'll see that the trial version is gone!

Ron Dunn, the updated version does NOT work with my Win 10 x64 system at all. I've tried everything I can think of... Besides, this software only seems to download YouTube music, which does not seem so novel.
