Okay so after being amused from the tutorials I down loaded and installed program and activated the easiest that it has been lately here on GOTD no jumping through hoops or taking tests.
I just went to about and it says licensed to GOTD and I hit OK and that's it. Installed without any problems at all. Interface looks user friendly but I haven't done anything with the program itself yet.

Omg I went to todays giveaways site to check out the software to see what it does and so forth. Well they have several tutorial videos you can watch which shows different things this software does.
All I can say is I want to go to work for these people lmao listen to the guys explaining each video.
These guys sound so out of it all I could do is laugh but if your not sure what this software does then just click on the home page link and on the bottom of the screen is todays GOTD and then click on video and there will be several tutorial videos that will come up.
So just click on one of the videos that interest you and while you learn how to operate this software you will also get a laugh. I don't think Cheech and Chong could have done it better. LMAO!!

Wolf,
The "help" videos are even worse than you describe. 8-(

I had a class with a professor that spoke like that. We had no idea what he was talking about.

Norton removed this software as having the WS.Reputation1 virus and if it is a false/positive, then the company needs to say so providing a link OR change the code in their software. The same thing with AVCenter for $9.90 today. BOTH downloads WERE DELETED BY NORTON.

Reply   |   Comment by Software Babe  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Software Babe, WS.Reputation1 is Nortons way of telling you not enough users (of Norton) have used the installer. It IS safe. Just tell Norton to restore them.

Today the giveaway is by PCWinSoft. You have been warned.
Normally, I an extremely suspicious and wary with software offered by the following:
• KCSoftwares
• AlgoLogic
• PCWinSoft (seems to be re-incarnation of AlgoLogic)
• SoftOrbits

However your mileage may vary and if you are happy with their giveaway software, good for you.

ric, I can't see how a warning or suspicion can be taken as a guide when neither comes with any explanation of exactly why there are concerns.

I asked (twice) for the email download link and never got it. Same thing a few days ago. I am not on FB.

Will,

I really dislike Facebook and Facebook dependant marketing. Anyone else here feel similarly, tick an upvote.

Will, I don't know what you have against FB. But all you have to do is set up one (FB). Even if you never use it again you will have an account.

Terry S.,
"what you have against FB"
Personally I do not have a problem with FB.
I have a problem with giving my FB-account to others.
They will post some articles without my saying.
Only today there are 5 new postings from other peoples.
And I don't like that in my personal FB.
That's the reason that I have more than 1 mailadres, more than 1 FB-account etc.
Otherwise everything is connected to everything and all is displayd on all pages together.
Thats why I put sugar in a cubboard, milk in the fridge and the car in the garage.

Ootje, it's simple to change your settings so that you're the only one allowed to post on your page.

Ootje, I don't come on here to be negative with anyone. I was just trying to help someone. So take your hostility and have a blessed day.

This program is like a virus. Once it's open, you can go back, but you cannot close it. What program does that? None to my knowledge. Uninstalling.

Downloaded and installed okay. When I attempt to run I get the following error message:
Error at IdleTrackerInit( ).
Report this on your support request.

Since no support is offered how do I resolve this issue?

Downloaded and extracted, but after starting the setup, a popup appears: "The Setup Files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." After closing the popup, the setup aborts, browser says "Program is activated".

Reply   |   Comment by Ralf Nowotny  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+14)

Ralf Nowotny, I get that same message when trying to install software from GOTD. My Kaspersky software is preventing the install. I'm guessing the "program is activated" comes from a script that doesn't realize Kaspersky intervened and blocked the install.

I Googled the message the popup presented and discovered that I needed to restart my Windows 10 pc in safe mode. Somewhat annoying, but I'll put up with it for free software.

Reply   |   Comment by Martin  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+11)

Ralf Nowotny, Kaspersky is blocking the installation, just pause protection and exit your kaspersky then install, and resume protection. this method work well

Reply   |   Comment by sam  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+10)

Martin, excellent, it worked for me in safe mode. Thank you very much! :)

Jack,
I had the same trouble.
There is a program GetServerDate, that needs contact with the internet:

With contact, still a fault:

If the AVG is turned off or better on a pause of 10 minutes,

the setup will continue:

Jack, SO, you are IGNORING your antivirus software for THIS app? Dangerous. Norton deleted this software as having the WS.Reputation1 virus, so you may want to rethink what you have done until you can get better answers from the Author of this app.

Is it possible to stream to a TV set? Does it transcode?

Reply   |   Comment by Your Teacher  –  7 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+5)

Your Teacher, If your computer has an HDMI out plug on it just run a long HDMI cord from your computer to your TV. I do it all the time from my laptop and anything that comes up on your screen also comes up on your TV including sound.
Also if you have a smart TV and both your computer and TV has wifi you can get them to connect without the HDMI cord. I just find it easier to use the cord.
I watch movies and listen music all the time from my computer and if you have a surround sound setup if you want to listen to music and your surround sound system has an HDMI plug in you can play the music through that.
Saves a lot of messing around using cord than trying to get it to connect using WIFI .
Hope this helps you!!

Your Teacher, Chromecast 2. Little gadget for your HDMI (no cords) you can buy at your local TV store and just plug in and watch anything you want from your computer.
