Spend a little time improving the icon set to at least make some attempt to make this look like a modern application. That colorful pink purple background must go. And the blocky icons are great but need some care to improve their appearance.

After installation, there is a popup that says "There is a free update available!" Should I apply it or ignore?

Angie , Never update the free software and disable it permanently whenever possible.
(General rule, otherwise you may test today for a possible exception. Today, so that you can uninstall and reinstall the older version, if necessary).

Angie , in the readme it states the installer comes pre-activated the normal installers do not so you will lose the pre-activation feature as we are not given a discreate license key.
