Question 1: is there any way to make this GOTD license a lifetime license with minor updates and major upgrades?

Question 2: Can I also make other PCWiNSOFT programs I got for free through GiveawayOfTheDay so called lifetime licenses?

- - - - - - - - - -

A computing friend told me he receives emails almost every day from PCWiNSOFT which suggest: that you can pay $20.00 USD to upgrade existing registered PCWiNSOFT licenses to Lifetime Licenses and that that FEE Covers ANY Products already Registered with PCWiNSOFT.
[Although I have not yet seen any of these emails (with my own eyes) because I have never installed or registered any PCWiNSOFT programs before todays offering.]

This year alone PCWiNSOFT have offered 4 programs (including today's program) thru GiveawayOfTheDay, and even more programs if you go back a few years.

So if my friends information is correct, then: a GOTD follower who has previously registered PCWiNSOFT programs they got for free thru GiveawayOfTheDay, only has to pay this once-off $20.00 USD fee, to make all of them upgradeable Lifetime Licenses, which sounds pretty good to me.

CAN THE VENDOR CONFiRM IF THiS "FEE to Upgrade registered programs to Lifetime License(s)" information my friend told me about is CORRECT?

OS - Windows 10-64

The settings are very confusing...

can't tell whether you can set your
choices and have those as default?

I couldn't tell if there was a setting
to record system sound - seemed to want
only to record microphone.

The image quality was OK.

Sorry... I wouldn't pay $9.95 let alone
$59.95

you guys need to do a whole lot of
work on making this software totally
User friendly - meaning, it needs to be
completely intuitive...which it is definitely
NOT....

uninstalling

I detest this software. I could not control its screen capture and anyway, as someone else said, its UI is from Windows 3.1 circa 1995.

The uninstall left more garbage in the registry than any other program I've ever seen. It makes Norton look modest. I am taking a break now after spending a half hour digging this soft out of my system and I am only 1/3 of the way done, I'd guess.

The software description for the GOTD included 'Real-time Streaming Server.' but that was disabled in the free version. That sort of bait and switch turns me off against GOTD and the software maker. I am investigating my streaming server options and someone who promises to let me try it out for free and then insists I pay first is not going to get my business.

It installed fine on my HP win 10 64. The program starts up with the list of potential items that can be selected. The first time I did not choose one of those and instead just closed it. The interface then gives you numbers 1 - 19 across the top, but not pop-up bubble to tell you what those are. You actually have to select each one to try and figure out what it does. So selecting number 1 for example is a screen record, no audio. I selected that and then it seemed the only option was to hit "next" so I did. It then tells you to select options, but the screen is void of any options to select. If you hit "next" again here, then it pops up telling you that you must select at least one option to continue. An endless loop now without progression. I figured I would restart the program, however, the red X close button was useless. It clicked, but performed no task. I had to use task manager to close it. The only item that shows up in my "Recently Added" list in my start button is the option to "Buy 1AV Capture" but not the start program. So if you allowed a desktop icon to be placed then use that, otherwise you have to type in 1AV to find the program. It started up again and this time I selected from the list at that first window. This seemed to work. A "Tip" window pops up with a single tip that isn't correct. It tells you to select "Video/..." However, there is no menu item that is "video." I selected the obvious red "Record" button and the program disappears. It shrinks it down to an icon in the "Hidden Icons" location at the bottom by the date and time. It appears that by clicking on it in there that it stops the video recording automatically. The recording on default is pretty choppy. I am guessing it's taking a screen shot about every half a second or something like that. I haven't found a way to change that yet. There is a small wrench down by the record button that lets you change it from .wmv to .avi. It also shows the shortcuts for pause, record, and stop. It could be a useful tool if some of the items were a little more enhanced. For example, the list of numbers across the top for various recording options that don't tell you what they are unless you click on them. If you use a screen recorder regularly then maybe you're familiar with all of that and how to change capture rate and more. This is my first time of using one. I did finally get it done, so there must be some amount of ease with it. It is not good for someone though that doesn't work with programs or a computer regularly enough to understand its operations. Someone could end "losing" it while recording and tie up a large amount of HD space recording everything unintentionally.

I agree that the interface is somewhat awkward. Lots of menu items are not arranged intuitively: e.g. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11463671/gotd/1avcapt/eavcapture02.PNG . "Record setting" under "Actions", not under "Record".
b.t.w. if you "mouse over" the numbers 1 to 19, the bar below (in the screendump with the (i) and "Send Email") shows where the preset is meant for.

Can anyone say if this program is better than Camtasia? When I do screen capture of movies, I get quite a bit of pixillation.
Thanx

It says in the information that we shuld be able to stream our webcamera and broadcast in on the internet (Real time streaming server). But I can not find this in the program. Is this giveaway without this offer?

I have a better question....

What is the best & fastest free video converter out there?

I thought it was mentioned before that Freemake was one, but when I used it, even though the quality was very good, it was slower than a turtle. I'd like to have something that is much faster & still does a good quality video conversion. Thanks in advance for any & all help & answers. :-)

What say you, gang?

Today it's recording software. But to answer your question:
If I don't use professional software my favorite as an editor and converter too and for correction of time lags between video and sound is free AviDemux.

For recording screens in pic formats I'm sinply using free IrfanView (even free OCR addons for English and German are available).
I didn't need videos of screen activities so far but free VLC may be used too.

try Format Factory or Aiseesoft Total Video converter. Both give good results...,,Aiseesoft has better Quality with slightly larger files.

IMHO, FormatFactory 2.96. It isn't the latest version, but it is the latest version that works well for me. Fast is relative and this software does a good job without making me spend my life googling why it doesn't work.

Odd question for software that is being offered but I must say I have an opinion of converters for video after having tried so many over the past year. I came to the conclusion that Movavi is the best offering to date.

It shows the expected size of output which not all offer.
Many simple options to add to the video, color adjust, volume adjustments, watermark, crop and with a few clicks.
You can slide a playback slider and convert and it will auto cut at the point you slid to.
Adding audio or images is simple.
Upload options right from the program if you're into the sharing/social aspect.
Really fast conversions, fastest I think I've seen beating out other favs such as Handbrake.
Join files into a single output as needed.
Multiple file formats to convert and easily stored custom conversion options.
Preview window also acts as the video trimming as mentioned above.

Seriously one of is not the best for speed and abilities and options, nothing else has come close in about a year and I do product reviews which means I need to work with video daily, often multiple times per day.

I really think this is a question that should be in the forums but I suppose you can say it is helpful here as once the software offered today is used you could be in need of such software before sharing and publishing the created files. If you don't try it you're definitely going to be missing out.

As for recording on the PC this software appears to offer more options but purely as a screen recorder Camstudio is or has been a simple and reliable free option I prefer.

In my opinion for free conversion software, Handbrake, hands down! Better than Format Factory

Hi Changin Charles,
For a simple but very effective video converter that also includes an editor; I find "Free Video Editor" very good.
I have a Digital TV box that records video files in .TSV well I could not find a run of the mill video converter "to even open the TSV file".
But Free Video Editor opened the TSV file no problem And converted it to .mp4 or .avi.
But it also a video editor so I was able to use it's Tag's feature and then click the Split by Tags box. Make sure to put a Tag at start and finish of the video.

I could not get AviDemux to Save the TSV file. And "WinX HD Video Converter" would not Open the .TSV file.

Handbrake is able to handle the .TSV file

Aiseesoft Total Video converter is good too but can't handle the .TSV file but handles .mts
My other TV Digial box records in .mts file format. I found Adoreshare AVCHD Converter to be very useful for me with the ability to handle .mts files.
With Adoreshare AVCHD Converter you can edit (but that feature could be improved, bit tricky (hard to get right frame. Takes 2 or 3 attempts to get right on the frame you

want). But has Crop, Watermark and Subtitle features.

WinX HD video converter is available but the older version has a 'burner' the new version does not
Freemake has been giving me a 'green' video screen for some reason????

The fastest video converter/transcoder is likely to be one which works with Intel Quick Sync feature of Intel's HD graphics. Quick Sync is very, VERY quick. Check your exact cpu model at Intel.com to see if it features Qick Sync Video.

The best isnt the fastest, so which is more important? Quality? Handbrake is excellent, but a little challenging. Xmedia Recode is a great converter. I especially like that you can convert video format and copy audio, most converters degrade audio. Very handy for music video, you can retain the DTS or PCM audio easily. http://www.xmedia-recode.de/en/index.html

I wonder if this software, would activate my built-in HD webcam on my laptop? The driver for my webcam is apparent-ally missing! I tried to download the driver for my webcam from HP, but it states, that I already have the webcam driver?!? But, when I go to my Device Manager, there is no driver listed there for the webcam!?

Have you checked in the BIOS that the webcam is enabled?

Check also if USB webcam is selected; I had similar issue with HP laptop and "fixed" it this way.

If yours is like mine, you have to turn on the camera with a Fn key combination; check your user's manual and look for a key with an icon of a webcam on it.

Installed easily in Windows 10 64 bit.

Works perfectly and offers a good range of options for recording with or without sound and seems fairly intuitive to use - I dived straight in and made a quick video in minutes. Played back cleanly in VLC player so looks very useful.

A while back I was required to screen capture video with commentary to make some instructional videos using certain software. This certainly looks as though it would have made a nice job of it so I'll be keeping this one ready to make more. Thank you GAOTD.
