Since the Windows clipboard was established in the beginning it is still available nearly unchanged. Though sometimes there is a need in copying and pasting different text from and to different clipboards, such features are only supported for some office tools, but never for your whole Windows system. 1-abc.net Clipboard Organizer closes this feature lack and includes much more clipboard management functions.

You can define up to 4 different clipboards. While the 1st one - which is your system clipboard - works totally unchanged, you can feed the other ones with text by a simple shortcut and paste it from there directly as well with another one. It is as easy as working with your default clipboard, you only have to use other hotkeys than CTRL+C/ CTRL+V.

I liked Giovanni's feedback before he started adding Editorial to his comments ... "20 bucks without supporting rich-text, images & files? ... Is it a JOKE, right?" ...

Giovanni, I love your inputs and hard work ... but may be you can get back to your Original style of Humble postings.

Thanks!

Stay Away IMO - Blue screen on installation to a stable Windows 7 Ultimate system which never gets blue screens. Uninstalled.

From the improvement suggestions and comments, I think some here might get closer to the functionality they want with a little freeware add on I find indispensable. It's called QuotePad. This small-footprint program lives and works in the task bar, popping up to give you a fast, simple, quickly searchable mini database. Each entry gets a title, date and time. Keeping things straight is easy. Items can be moved up and down the list as needed. Culling is a snap, and copying and pasting to and from QuotePad is as easy as Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V.

To empty the clipboard after copying larger items I use a tiny, simple and very old program called ClipClear, which also has a spot on the task bar. One click and the clipboard is cleared.

hi,

I have two sides to my comments today, first is to #1 and #7, he is correct you two mentioned portability not him, me thinks a sorry is appropriate guys, eh?

2. to #9 our applications programmer, dealing in only .txt formatting is not going to get your app far, and your more than broken English is not a good soothing item in your application either. I will add it to the tech tips but you need both to be able to handle other formatting, especially uni-code and that of .rtf documents, also html, css, and .docx documents, and ... well more in the improvements section. the lack of .rtf support lead me to not even test today's offering let alone the lack of uni-code support, which makes it a null-candadate for the 8 lists for the blind and visually impaired that I work on.

better luck next time

Tested this out after installation.

Unable to recognise Unicode characters, so many foreign language fonts are un-usable with this software.

If we cut and paste all that we get is a series of ???? in place of any non-Romanised text Unicode character that was copied to the clipboard.

This is a major failure.

Ditto which is a freeware can handle Unicode characters with aplomb.
Ditto is portable as well.

@1 (Ashraf), 7 (stilofilos): about portability

This clipboard organizer was never intended to be portable like many many applications are not. 1-abc never claimed portablility any where. It is just Ashraf who tells you so.

When you install it on a USB-stick you can take it to another pc, yes happy happy coincidence. But the register is used to write data and store it. So there is no true portablility, but you might (mis)use it in this way.

I drive a car that is really a plane. When you drive hard enough sometimes crossing a ramp it will actually get airborn for a few seconds. That is great but it is very badly implemented.

Bad implementation of flying in my car is as much a "con" as badly implementation of portablilty for this Clipboard Organizer.

The one I have been using for years. Up to now, never found a better and more complete one, fully configurable. I have tried a lot of them. Free, even with source code. I like the trigger window bar to display the clipboard with the mouse and the permanent items for repetitive tasks, picture, files, text clipx. Configurable number of clips history, the sound when copy/cut etc. arsclip from http://www.joejoesoft.com/

Indeed Giovanni, 20 bucks , and not only for such a crippled thing, on top of that to let them cheat you about fake portability.
This is blatant abuse of people who don't happen to know things.
It should be forbidden that such stuff comes under our eyes.
Not on my computer anyway.

I don't need to organize my clipboards. I only have two of them. Who needs to organize clipboards anyway? Now, if you create a program that will allow me to organize my comic books, I'll buy it. I want to be able to scan barcodes and automatically have all the information about all my comic books organized in one big searchable database. Get to work on that.

I will have to check out Ashraf's list -- but I've been using the free Clipboard Fusion (by the makers of Display Fusion an amazing Multi Monitor Taskbar/Manager) and have been pleased with it until now. It's simple to use and non-intrusive, I can't live without it.

Does this have as many useful features as M8 Free Clipboard
which allows capability to archive 500 clips, bulk paste to regular documents and bulk paste across to cells or bulk paste down to cells
as well as a great graphics editor.
date & time stamp, form filling, color coding clips for easy recognition.

Pros
*Keeps track of everything you cut or copy
*Allows you to easily paste a previous clip
*Provides you with three additional clipboards, meaning you have a total of four clipboards at your disposal with this program
*Supports hotkeys for each of the clipboards
*Can be installed on your internal hard drive (e.g. C:/ partition) or on removable media such as external hard drives, USB/thumb drives, etc. (i.e. can be made portable)
*Has the ability to export saved clips to .TXT and/or print them
*Has the native ability to automatically start at Windows boot, which is a common but useful feature for a clipboard manager. This ability to automatically start at Windows boot is disabled by default (you need to manually enable it if you want it), so it won’t annoy those of you who hate it when programs add themselves to Windows boot
*When minimized, Clipboard Organizer stays in your system tray instead of taskbar so as to stay out of your way while you work or play

Cons
*Does not support rich-text, images, files, etc. — only supports plain-text
*The extra clipboards have hotkeys for copy and paste but not for cut
*Cannot customize the hotkeys for the extra clipboards
*Can be made portable but has poorly implemented portability
