# 114_gim If you read this; Gif Animator-4 is found via the shortcut on your 'Start > Programs' menu folder labeled 'Zoner Draw 4'.
To save other than the .zmf format (default Save format); Click the 'File' drop dwn menu and choose 'Export', choose the format you want (.jpg or .png) and click 'Save'. You will get a dialog box for the pic parameters. Choose your settings (choose 'Antialiasing' to eliminate the jaggys (jagged edges)) and the size you want to save your work. That should do the trick for ya. Hope that helps.

for someone with no vector drawing experience, i was surprised at what i was able to turn out (took me all day tho!) especially since i had just decided to try learning some of the other free vector programs. While Inkscape is easier, this has more features - thanks guys!

I'm new to this site and think it's wonderful so far. So many programs and so little time. LOL. One question though. Once I open and get the program running, can it be saved to disk and changed from computer to computer? Will it still work?

Thank you. This helps me work around a problem in DeltaCad 6. In DeltaCad, if I move or copy a circle, say, all I see is a box with an "X" in it. This makes positioning difficult. (For me anyway, as I do not use DeltaCad as a drafting program.)
In Zoner Draw 4, the circle reappears after I position the box and before I make the change permanent.
DeltaCad does have Visual Basic built in, but I do not know how to program in it. (A macro that makes "move" and "copy" transparent would be gratefully accepted.)
DeltaCad would make an excellent give away. It is a CAD program which allows infinite scrolling to the right and down, like a spreadsheet. (The demo has printing disabled.)

I love this download. It has so far been easy to get up to speed on and does a really good job, but I can't seem to be able to find the GIF Animator 4 in the software. Also, having trouble saving files in a format other than .ZMF.

To #101 (David Loring): Click on the Rectangle tool button (on the left hand side) and hold for a second. You will see an extended menu appear. You can select other objects from it.

To #100 (Catt): When exporting to .jpg, increase the compression to 100%. That eliminates any compression artifacts you may have seen.

hey not a bad program for free but to pay for this I'm not sure it's not better then Corel Draw Essentials (which is not sold anymore). But it does have some nice features and I like playing around with them. And to #101......Circles are a problem just set the tool to square and then set the roundness to match may take some time but that will work.

This seems like a great giveaway today. Just been playing with it. First time I've used a graphics programme so it's all new. I initially thought I would be able to use it to create images/ graphics for my webpages. Created a few buttons using the tutorial, but exporting it in either .gif or .jpg format leaves them with ragged edges, don't look good, I know there is a reason for it, just wondered if someone could tell me if there is a fix if I study to .pdf tut hard enough, or I would be better off learning to do this sort of stuff with gimp????
But thanks for the software, I really like it, I am sure I will learn a lot with it.

Ask and thy shall receive. Thx GOTD! I just commented yesterday the desire for CG & 3D apps. This is a great offering for me because I don't have a vector app 'of choice' yet.
Will not install through Windows 'Add & Remove' installer dialog. Produces error stating "Registration period has expired", so I didn't proceed with A & R dialog.
Does install and register flawlessly by clicking the 'setup.exe' with no problem.
Bit of a learning curve, but not difficult at all. UI is fairly well layed out. Gif animator is a nice addition along with Media Browser-(thumbnail viewer). This is a very worthy dwnld for 'anyone' interested in graphics. Integrated help file is sparse at best, but does define each of the basic features/functions of the app itself. The app also includes some tutorials to help you get started. I will not give this app a rating because I personally am not familiar enough with vector graphics or applications for producing vector graphics. As such, I have no vector graphic experience to draw from and make any kind of honorable rating.

Much nicer giveaway today (than the previous two days). I'm quite familiar with various vector-based drawing tools and while Zoner 4 doesn't have some of the "native" advanced features of some of the more well-known apps, it does provide a foundation of basic and intermediate functions that can be used to create more advanced designs. It will just take a little patience and ingenuity.
It takes no talent or genius to click a single button to generate an extruded 3D shaded object from a simple polygon (as is found in the more expensive apps)... but with a few more mouse clicks and a little thought, the same things can be done with Zoner 4.

As for the claim that ESELLERATE is used, I don't know what "Crabby Gabby" is referring to. My firewall monitor did not report any network access when starting Zoner4.

How does the registration work in the event of reformatting? I wasn't asked for an email address and I don't see a serial number. I just clicked the install.exe and it automatically installed and then said "successfully registered."
I checked in "regedit" and don't see a serial number listed there either. If I ever have to reformat when I reinstall the program will it automatically be successfully registered as it was today?

@V0iD: Thanks for your suggestions. OS is WinXP Home SP2, 512Mb RAM. Graphics is Connect 3D Radeon 9600 series.
I don't think it's a graphics problem. ZD 3 works fine and so do all my other graphics apps.
Thanks for the link. As I said above, I have tried several versions of the .dll (after disabling the supplied version, of course). The actual error tells me that an instruction attempted to access memory at its own location and the memory could not be "read"'. (I recently ran a RAM check, by the way, and am confident there are no faults there.)
My next check will be after a restart.
