I would just like to say, I have used WinUtilities for many many years, never had any problems with it, not like other programs that I have tried, and it could be my computer, who knows, just in reference to comment above about it being a computer issue. I will always use WinUtilities. It is the best ever as far as I am concerned.

I won't use this as I already have Glary Utilities, CCleaner, Revo Un-installer And System Ninja
All work fine for me with no problems and I don't need more of this type of program
In Glary Utilities one click I have tracks eraser and spyware remover turned off
I make an image of my hard drive monthly with Macrium Reflect free in case of a hard drive failure
I have a SSD so don't defrag
I have heard good reviews about today's offer but I just don't need it

I've used WinUtilities for almost 10 years. I don't know how many 100's of times I've used the tools on various systems, XP through Windows 10 Preview with absolutely no problems, only positive results. The registry cleaner is the best in the biz. THANKS for the GOTD!!

I used GOTD versions at first and liked it so much I purchased a lifetime license for $20. I never use the 1-Click Maintenance on any of this type of program. I use CCleaner Pro and then WinUtilities Pro. I have never had a problem with either on my XP SP3 system. I have tried about every thing offered here and almost every program I tried has had a problem with my system. Might not be for everybody but for me it works great and I wouldn't use anything else!

Its actually refreshing to see someone who actually purchases something they find helpful. If there was abit more feedback of this type there might be more companies knockin on GOTD's door.

The one-two punch of Wise Disk Cleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner can do most of the good things that today's offer does. They are freeware and even include a "live update" function (i.e. when it offers an update, you don't have to navigate out to the website to download and install it.)

I have been using WinUtilities for several years now, and it is a great, stable and useful tool to have. Of course, like any tool, you need to know what you're doing before using it. From some of the earlier comments here, a few folks don't know how to properly use the tool. Despite their comments, this is an excellent utility and I highly recommend it!

Let me start by saying I am a retired computer technician and consultant. That being said, I have been using WinUtilities literally for years and years. As has been noted, you need to be careful what you ask it to do in the 1-click maintenance. There are a few actions selected by default that may provide some unintended results. I have not installed the program offered today because I purchased a lifetime license a couple of years ago. After using it for years, I have come to trust the registry fixer, one of the scarier modules, completely. To date, I have never had it go south on me.

Bottom line, in my own personal opinion, this is a very solid piece of software from a good company.

PS: No I don't work for them nor am I affiliated in any way. Simply a satisfied customer trying to pass on my experience.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I believe Microsoft do not recommend using a registry cleaner. I don't. I let my registry stay dirty. If I want to clean it, I just replace it by reinstalling Windows. I say I have never had problems cleaning my registry, but I don't know what I am talking about. The damage may not be apparent. It may show up in ways I do not understand. Time and time again, I read that the registry should not be touched. If Microsoft won't come out with a cleaner for it, I think it is best not to go with a third party one. Do what I do, reinstall Windows if the registry becomes so cluttered that it slows down or hinders the performance of Windows. But, actually, I wouldn't know of it did, because I don't even understand how Windows would act with a grossly cluttered registry. How does Windows behave when its registry becomes extremely cluttered? Does it shake? Does it come to a stop? Does it stall and crash? Is it even possible that a cluttered registry can even dampen performance? I don't know. I just grab a can of Coke, and drink it while I reinstall Windows every few months to a year. The whole thing about the registry ever needing maintenance is probably a myth. Don't touch it. If it becomes cluttered with a million pieces of uninstalled software, it likely still won't hamper performance, if you have an old 386.

I have used registry cleaners for many years. Mostly Regseeker and CCleaner.(free) I have never had a problem caused by it cleaning my registry. I do understand how one can get paranoid by all the skeptics claiming severe damage to a computer if you use one. Instead of reinstalling so much have you considered making an image of your system with free software from here? It is so much easier than re-downloading a couple hundred Microsoft updates with each reinstall. Plus your favorite programs. Maybe 8 to 10 minutes on a restore. I have used the one on here also today and nothing fell apart on my computer.

Reinstalling won't reinstall any programs or tweaks you have done
A better way would be to get your computer running how you like it and make an image to reinstall from with something like Macrium reflect free
I make an image each month as a total backup

Just to say a big thankyou for this giveaway. Ive been using the free version for a few months as a trial to see how it worked, so its a bonus to get the pro version here today. Im not a computer wiz, just a standard user so I use the 1 click maintenance, and I find doing so helps keep my pc 'clean'. Thankyou very much, and happy new year to all.

Good Offer, the registry cleaner is a bit iffy.I use ccleaner free edition for the registry bit,as have tried countless others, somehow they are just too aggressive.
Another good offer you can get somewhere else as an ALTERNATIVE to this this deal :

If you had read the "readme.text" it would have explained the process and listed the name and s/n. It is always good to read it as it gives instructions for installing the giveaway. I've been using the WinUtilities for a long time and it works very well. Click on the one click tab to choose which items you wish wunutilities to preform. If you have an SSD be sure to unclick the disk defrag option.

Thanks GATD, but I've been using 'Advanced Systemcare' by IOBIT for years without a single problem. It's tried and tested and FREE! It is worth a look if anyone is looking for this kind of program. Happy New Year to you all!

I also am an iOBit ASC user; not crazy about the nags to upgrade parts of it to premium versions (even when I had a license for the ASC paid version), and refuse to let it install Driver Booster after that module fouled up my old work computer, but practical overall. (Especially like the Uninstaller module, which is more thorough than Windows 7's "add/remove programs".) I was looking for more reviews on WinUtilities Pro before downloading it from GOTD -- but, based on your comment, perhaps I shouldn't bother, and should just stick with ASC Free 8.0?

System: Windows 8.1, HP Pavilion using a fast multi-core AMD processor

As have many, I've used this program (v. 11.1) extensively since it was offered before. NOTE: This is a newer version - 11.3 vs 11.1 I have found v11.1 to be quite stable and reliable. and am confident this will be too. BEFORE USING 1-CLICK maintenance, I suggest you check the items that will be acted on by checking 1-Click Maintenance tab. Remove the check marks from anything you want left alone, and enable things you might want that are off by default.

Summary: Good stable program, and a welcome addition to my toolbox. Besides, it won't cost you anything to try it... :)

Installed and registered without problems, opens up to a clean interface.
Looks like we get a full licence this time rather than the yearly licence.

Never use these one click system speeder uppers, like to know what's going on when modifying my system.

Had a poke around the various functions and was pleased to find that useful information was presented.
Really impressed with the amount of information this program can present regarding my computer also with useful utilities such as context menu editor.

A nice start to the New Year, a program that provides me with all sorts of information and some useful utilities in one nice package, definitely a keeper.

Happy – Happy New Year!
We had this from a previous giveaway of the day. I have been very happy with it especially the ingenious registry searcher. Maybe I’ve been missing something but I have never known another product that could perform that task let alone as quickly and easily as this one does.
It also has so many other functions. Our previous giveaway license expires TODAY so I am stoked to see this offer today. Perfect Timing! And this time it’s a lifetime license. No email required either as the code is included with the zip file. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks and Happy New Year!

I already have Winutilities Pro 11.26 installed on my system. It consists of total 26 modules. We are well familiar with this type of stuff be it Glary Utilities or Puran Utiliteis or Wise Care or even Toolwiz care. I can blindly use all their useful modules except the Registry Cleaner or Defragmenter. Once I found Glary Utilites Reg Fixer had removed some necessary Registry Keys which created some problem. But I have tried Winutilites Reg cleaner just once and It is not so aggressive and didn't create any problem.

Now each of them has some unique module otherwise all posses almost similar features. In Winutiliteis the most useful tool is
"File Undelete"-It has explorer based structure . You don't need to scan. It can show your hidden or locked files or folder which you can retrieve in an emergency situation.

Two unique features -

1. BHO Remover to remove Broweser help object files.

2. EXE Protector - it will allow to protect any exe file with password.

Even all other modules such as Context Menu Manager , Duplicate Finder, File Splitter and Joiner etc which are common to all Utilites Programs are also found to be very handy.
CON: 'Readme.txt' file is included in the list of 'Junk file types'

Yes, TopTenReviews. Like the title says. It reviews the top ten software in a certain category, related to that software. So, if you want to review let's say, antivirus. Then it reviews the top ten antivirus, depending on how well it does certain things.

Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system.

An US(?) company, digitally signed Chinese as SuiNing Yilong Software Store.

It is exactly one year, that we had WinUtilities PRO 11.00. Here are the old reviews:

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/winutilities-pro-10-67/

This collection of tools has a long version history. Good documented, but missing the time stamp. This is page 2 of the history:
http://hi.ylcomputing.com/winutilities-version-history-page-2

The installation is clean and correct. Remember yesterday's problem? If not, have a look. Also this program tries to add some files to a windows system directory. But it does not try to overwrite with force existing files, they "remain" .tmp and will not be .OXC or .DLL. That's the difference between a correct installation today and a wrong installation yesterday.

http://i.imgur.com/W8c4pzS.png

Upon start a small not resizable screen opens. You can change the language from Arabic to Ukrainian and change the skin from "Windows Standard" to "Windows Standard".
In The settings you should disable the automatic updates.

This is a collection of different tools, from Registry Cleaner over BHO Remover to file split&join.

I run the 1-Click maintenance...
The result was "all clear":

http://www0.xup.to/exec/ximg.php?fid=59896164

It didn't tell me, what was done, there is no report and ... You see a different file hoster?

LOL, it killed my Greenshot screen recorder. I am always happy to test this "virtual".

If you want a collection of tools which kills programs with a nonsense registry clean report exported to .HTML:

http://www.xup.to/dl,20919211/test.htm/ - Have a look! A must see report!

than you can install this. In my case I have to reboot to get the screen recorder working again. I admitted, that I expected a better performance. I did not test all of the tools. One not working tool is sufficient for me.

Happy New Year!

Never run '1-Click Maintenance'. It could end up de-fragging your SSD.
Use the tool's you need individually. I use Disk Cleaner and Registry Cleaner.Start-up Cleaner can be useful.
Registry Defrag also works very well, Analise first always.
Please note: If you have a previous version of this installed, uninstall it first, then install this program.
It will work but it's a little buggy getting in.
Happy New Year!

Quote: "..One not working tool is sufficient for me"

You ran "1-click maintainance" which had caused a problem. But at the same time you should test some other tools before reaching to conclusion. I saw many Utilitie's One click maintainance has some fault but that doesn't indicate that all other tools of them also can also create problem.

Except Registry Cleaner , Registry Defrag and Disk cleaner all other tools if you use seperately you shouldn't have any problem and You can realize the program's utility. And using those 3 tools is entirely depended upon your trust and courage.

In first 2.5 hours I saw more than 70% thumbs up and then the trend is continiously changing dramatically after Karl's post has been published. It's ridiculous.

But No offence to Karl . I always like his post as others but They should also try to evaluate a program by themselves rather than just depend on karl's review all the time for giving their vote.

Danke Sehr, Karl, und Glückliches Neues Jahr. Your reviews are just so welcome - and not least based on, you really tried today's offer. You deserve every eac and one of the thumbs up. I'll say thanks a lot for generous offer from YL Computing....and the team behind GOTD, who makes it possible. Greets from Denmark

Dave, why should Karl take the time to check other attributes of a program that has already failed his expectations in a product. Karl take A LOT of his personal time to quickly check over these wonderful free products for all of us, why would he have to continue to review a program he is not happy with from the get go? Give the guy a break! How do you know folks don't test the product themselves? I seem to see many folks testing and reporting back on their views.

Also, as with myself I don't really have time to get back with my findings of a program. I learn from what is told here from the rest of the comments then check the program myself "if I am even interested in it" and do what I wish to do. Personally if Karl hadn't let us know that it blasted his Greenshot program I probably never would have noticed that until I went to use it again. So I must say Karl is thorough
review and is well liked, but I seriously doubt that people go and vote thumbs down because of it. At least I sure hope they are not that naïve.

No Diss Dave, JMHO.

Reply   |   Comment by KAHSR  –  9 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+23)

I do agree with Karl’s logics behind his statement that “..One not working tool is sufficient for me” (and that’s why I do not agree with Dave). If a software provider offers an option that does not work correctly, than how could I be sure that another option works correctly? Of course, I may apply the method "try and cry/fly (of happiness)", but that seems to me a philosophy of monkeys rather than of a homo sapiens.

And one more remark: an option so "allmighty" as "one click", which means that the option is omniscent enought to analyze any system and fix it correctly, seems to me, by definition, impossible. Hence, I do not trust software providers who claim their software is such.

Reply   |   Comment by Marek  –  9 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+8)

Wondering if people aren't interpreting Karl's experiences incorrectly; as it is not that unusual for a program to cause problems on one person's computer but behave perfectly correctly on most others.
Pretty well no two Windows are exactly the same hence the deviation in behaviour, there was not much point in him testing further when it caused problems on his machine.
Quite often on this comments page we see people saying the program is no good as it did this on my computer, if the program was no good we would expect to see it on many people's machines.
Conclusion, just because one system does not like a program does not mean that the program is no good, don't draw conclusions on weak evidence.

I have version 10.62 from an earlier giveaway. When I start the program I am greeted by the following message "your subscription has expired click to renew" or "cancel". Clicking to renew takes me to the publisher's site to make a purchase. Clicking cancel opens the program as is. This is the whole problem with me for this publisher. In the past I have received "life time giveaways" only to have the program eventually tun into a trial version. If they are not capable of writing a program to keeps it's registration, I am leery to let them loos on my system's integrity. But that is just me. There is nothing wrong with their program. It worked well but it's a matter of trust for me.There are other offerings both free and paid to try.
