Where are Karl and Giovanni when you need them? Ladies and Gents, download the software, utilize it in some form or fashion and then rate it.
I'm aware regulars like Karl and Giovanni take their fair share of hits simply by giving their honest opinions but come on, at least they give an honest opinion.
GAOTD is a freebie, a site where you can come each day to try out software you'd otherwise have to pay for. There are a few individuals that seem to be on a different cerebral plane than the rest of us that most of us have learned we can rely on their opinions. That being said, their opinions aren't the end all of everything.
Often they assess the software, give their opinions, and then remove the software. This doesn't mean that the software won't be of benefit to others. It just means what they say it means. Karl is gracious enough to tell us the impact the program will have on our computer, and Giovanni is... well he's like a freaking dictionary.
Bottom line, we're lucky to have this site, we're lucky to have the guys and gals who are regulars on the site to review these GIVEAWAYS, so I say let's try and show some respect and if you don't like a program because it's geared towards iPhone and not Android, just refrain from giving an opinion.
Wait until an Android version comes out and then by all means, download, utilize, and then rate.
It's all good... there are actually people who read the feedback and rely on it to help in deciding whether or not to download and install the GIVEAWAY of the day.
Trust me, no ones out to get us, they're just giving us a chance to see what we think of a program.

To gergn: iOS stable? Is that a joke? Don't you remember the release of the iOS6? You know, that horrible joke of a phone OS that had so many problems it was a wonder how it was released?

Dear MikeR
I have always appreciated your profound expertise on the software given here.
Today, I must say, this is the best comment on what's going on when numbs _try_ to rate software.
Thanks very much

WOW. It seems many "people" are voting thumbs down SIMPLY BECAUSE this isn't in a category they want. Voting should be based on the MERITS of a program after actually TRYING IT. What a bunch of spoiled babies. If I were GAOTD, I would give you a month worth of screen savers as a reward!

Sigh . . . So when is GOTD going to do a giveaway of an English language dictionary???

Though today's hilarious parade of dumb thumbs is as funny as it gets, inadequate vocabularies are clearly playing havoc with all those posters here who evidently cannot tell the difference between the following statements:

(1) I have downloaded, installed and used this software. But based on my experience today, I really don't like it so I'm giving it a thumbs down.

(2) I have never downloaded, installed or used this software. But based on my supreme ignorance, I really don't like it so I'm giving it a thumbs down. Or, then again, based entirely on my lack of user experience, I really like it a lot so will give it a thumbs up.

As a user of Android and iPhones, I find that each have there value and uses. So I appreciate programs that access/assist either of these platforms. Today's, however, appears to be flawed as it does not work properly. Will try again with the next offering.

Installed on a windows 7 professional 64 bit machine. Program installed just fine, but crashes when searching for device. No error or anything to work with. Uninstalled it as non usefull.

If someone made a great rocket-science software here, but hardly anybody could understand/use it, it must deserve 99% thumbs down here? really? LOL.

Saw of one of my friends use this. Does work at times. He was actually happy that it recovered his data. But a Mac giveaway here today!? Strange!

To #1: so let the "very Limited Audience" try & rate the app instead of giving thumbs down just because you don't need or won't use it.

"Accidentally wiped WhatsApp chat history and contacts on your iPhone?"

Actually that is something you SHOULD do purposely.

I agree with #1 with regard to the usefulness of todays giveaway, but for a different reason. iOS is so stable, that I never lost anything on my iPad. It is hardly possible to wipe a lot of data on a stand-alone iPad. You have to connect it to a PC or Mac running iTunes to wipe folders.

Just my 2 cents worth, and I'll probably get a lot of thumbs down for this comment,

but I gave it a thumbs down because I for one do not and never have used iTunes or anything that uses an IOS operating system,
and I believe I am not alone ( I could be wrong wouldn't be the first time )

but I feel that this will have a very Limited Audience,

Thank you for sharing it with us but I am going to pass 8=)
