My main interest in this program is to be able to have sketches of photos for animation (another use for this program).
The only problem I have is that often the resulting sketch lacks in contrast and looks washed out (I have tried the contrast option).

This is pretty neat. The presets are really quite excellent. Well worth the download.

It's quite old-fashioned in its interface (which would be fine if it was responsive and easy-to-use in return) and not that helpful in how to choose good options. The presets didn't greatly impress me. It's also pretty slow (I went away and shrunk the image I was working from as it was unusable with the original digital camera image). So a little bit of (slow) fun but wouldn't tempt me to purchase it. Probably needs trying with several images to see if you can find one that works well with it.
