Giveaway of the Day - PlayClaw Hardcore

December 10, 2012
This giveaway is not available any more.

For showing off slick new tricks or proving you really can take down The Boss with one shot, nothing shows it better than video. Before PlayClaw no other option worked well with modern games, because cutting edge games try to hog every ounce of your PC’s power leaving few resources for other applications.

Most game video capture software, if you can use it during a game at all, will slow your PC to a crawl. PlayClaw is different, making full use of any multi-core processors utilizing lean code designed specifically for resource hungry games!

  1. A review from Ashraf:

    Main Functionality

PlayClaw is a program that lets you take screenshots and videos of the games you are playing. Best of all, it does this without hogging all your computer resources. What you are left with is a crystal clear picture or video with virtually no lag. It even gives you useful overlays that can be displayed while playing your game!

    Pros
Allows you to take screenshots and videos of gameplay on your computer
    Supports HD video recording
Provides overlays that can display useful information to gamers, like their FPS, CPU, temperatures and even their GPU stats
Allows you to live stream your gameplay with a virtual webcam
Can support up to 16 audio sources at the same time
Offers “prerecording” to ensure you don’t miss one moment that you wish you would have recorded
    Supports 3rd party overlays

    Cons
Depending on the power of your computer and the type of game you are playing, this program can potentially cause lag while you play games
Only provides one year of “free” updates after you buy the product. After that first year, you will have to pay $9.95 to receive a new version of the program (and another year of free updates).

  3. I have been waiting for this for a long time. Thank you GAOTD and makers of PlayClaw. I tried a trial of an old PlayClaw version and I was somewhat impressed, I only need to compare the new version with MSI Afterburner.

I will post another comment soon after I compare it to MSI-A and Fraps. I already know that Fraps was really taking my fps down while recording, but playclaw didn’t even touch it, so I’m expecting pretty good results.
