What iI'd like to know is can this program backup data from an iPad2 to provide an alternative to iTunes or does it only recover deleted files?

I installed this for my iPod Touch 5th gen. The welcome screen seems to be formatted by someone not versed in English:

"Your iOS device is now connected, please only click the iOS Device button to scan."

I had no idea what the "iOS Device button" was.

It appears that the left button is used to undelete items from the device after a scan, and the right button is used to restore items from a local (not cloud) backup file.

I was hoping it would let me transfer apps from a backup file, but no.

It only covers items that are in my Outlook PST file and bookmarks from Safari.

So it's mostly a novelty.

For anyone like me that refuses to install iTunes, don't bother downloading this software. Even though it says "Recover data directly from the iOS device", it still requires iTunes be installed on your PC.

Hi GAOTD
I do not mean to belittle today's giveaway, but what is the difference between it and a previous giveaway program named "Leawoo iOS Data Recovery"?
Also, there was a previous giveaway program named "Android Data Recovery".
Thanks GAOTD.

I don't get many [legitimate] chances to comment on software here because I am a Mac person. I looked at the descriptions and even tried out the software several different ways: putting the application where I wanted it, and placing it in the Applications folder. I scanned my iPhone 5 several times from both locations (separately installed, mind you, for the sake of accuracy). And I tried scanning my iTunes files. In all cases (and very rapidly when scanning iTunes) the application crashed.

So even though it seemed like a good idea, I have removed it from my machine.

@5Saverio Apple might not make great sofware & apps anymore but they are using all they're money to make off shore wind turbines to combat global warming and stop deniers. That alone is why I buy apple everything. Its a totally great company.

Hey GAoTD, you already have the
http://blog.giveawayoftheday.com/welcome-to-iphone-giveaway-of-the-day/
to satisfy and enjoy the hipsters.
Why expose us to another Apple software?
I do not have any Apple gadget and I will never have one.
Real computing people never used, uses or will use Apple.
Horrible software.

I feel so lonely...
Where are you guys?
It's kinda scary here in this big empty forum...

7 hours in and only three comments...?
Did somebody break something?

On the software:
Can't find a single review (it was only released about 8 weeks ago, so that's not a huge surprise).
But, I am surprised at how many sites are listing it but not reviewing it.
What has happened to the big reputable sites that used to analyze, rate, and THEN post their reviews? Now, those sites just slap on whatever glossy text the vendor supplies and then post it. And often, they're writing about version 1.4 when version 2.3 is current.
And some of them are probably trying to figure out why their viewership is down...

Pavtube looks like a good giveaway but I already use Remo recover for android and my Macintosh. Works like a charm on both. Damn these recovery softwares are pricey! I'm gonna keep this downloaded and activated just in case...

Continuation to my previous comment: The problem is in my PC settings. I just moved the files in C: Partition and started the installation from there and it worked fine.

Hello GOTD and Pavtube. Thank you for the giveaway. The file Setup.exe only appears for few seconds in task manager and closes by itself after 2-3 seconds without any message or response.

Please fix this issue. Thank you for your time and consideration.
