@13: you must be mistaken: Reeza MP3 converter is not freeware. It is shareware and sells for $29.95. Only the download is free, meaning you can download a trial free of charge. Just as todays giveaway. Reeza MP3 converter was a giveaway on April 16, 2009.

Malwarebytes stopped that install and said it was a Trojan.Agent

Despite all the thumbs down this is a gem for extracting audio from video files(including 3GP) to MP3,Wav,Ogg,Wma,flac,ac3,aac and amr -with adjustable output settings.
(it also allows you to convert existing mp3 and wav to lower settings)
The program has a neat interface and supports drag and drop.
Too bad the MP3 cutter(in the options tab) is pretty basic.
So be sure to give this program a try.
As a side note, there's a striking resemblance to the latest version of Reeza MP3 converter...

I'm totally confused by the comments on this program. I downloaded the program, installed easily on Vista Business computer. Registered easily also. I did have to look for where to input the code, but when i did, it worked easily. Then you restart the program. I tried a few files. I'm playing a concert that I had video taped. It was an avi file and converted easily and quickly to an wma version. Sounds great. People shouldn't make comments without trying the program. It only confuses others. Remember these programs are free on the day that it is given away.

Nice interface, works just dandy on win 7, 64-bit. Kinda high priced. The company's web page gives a link to the free alternative, Reezaa. Kinda nice of them if you don't want to pay for their product.

This is great except for the fact that itunes already does this, few people know this but you can already import through itunes and make them mp3s by just changing a setting. So sorry GOTD but Apple's free version is better LOL

Downloaded and installed ... no problems... tried to use on MP4 files.. when clicked add files... filtered out MP4 files and in dropdown box did not show option for MP4... only MP3... etc.. could not use !~

Only contact information on their website is an e-mail address. The FAQ contains no information about the advantages of the registered copy (todays giveaway comes with a registration key). I don't think that I take the risk and install the software.

While this seems good, there are many free alternatives out there that does this and far more. Most notably Pazera Video Converters Suite found here http://www.pazera-software.com/products/vcsuite/
It is completely free and even allows you to convert to .flv, .ogg, and even .3gp

Perfect for converting songs from "iTunes" or directly from your "iPod" to a large variety of universal media player formats.
The only flaws this program has is that it's only available on "Windows", I'm sure it would be the number one choice for "Mac" users seeking to convert songs from their beloved "iPod's" mp4 format to a different type, seeing as there are very little programs such as these available for their OS. Also I'm not sure "Linux" users will be able to use this even with the help of programs like "Wine" because of the mandatory requirement of "Direct-X" to run it. Besides those factors I see no major problems with this program. Thanks to the devs of this program and to GAOTD.
