During this week's 48 hour madness, GoGamer.com is offering Colin McRae's DiRT for only $4.90. DiRT is Colin's last game due to his untimely death. DiRT has gotten rave reviews from many different sites and magazines since it's release. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm jumping all over this deal. If you enjoy racing and don't have this game, you need it. After shipping, I'm paying only $7. GoGamer is only accessible to the US, though, and I'm sorry to the rest of you guys who aren't from the U.S. for not being able to take advantage of this deal.

Thanks for the post, wizzard... always nice when someone points out what they feel is a "must have" in the madness sales.

This is a must have game. Even if you're not into racing games, this is the buisness. It's by far my favorite rally racing game and I've got loats of 'em. For the measly sum of less than $5, this is a steal

Whoa, after playing the demo I was really impressed, but when I checked back the price is now listed as $14.90, and even that may be sold out. Man, I really creamed my own car, anyway. Parts all over the track! :-D

lol
Shame about the price hike, but imo, it's still worth the $

Wizz or Wrabbit... I also checked out his Rally 2005, which is still $4.90 US. I can use my gamepad in the demo in that one... can you also use the gamepad in DiRT? (only shows keyboard in demo) Considering which to get. Just learning to use my gamepad, but what a BLAST! :-D
EDIT: Shooey. Just checked back and 2005 is sold out now. Guess I'm not jumping fast enough. :(

You can get his Rally 2005 from GOG as well though it's $9.99. I highly recommend Flatout as well. Both the McRea Rally games are good games; only Dirt has more realism to it and the vehicles show more damage when you crash into things. Bits drop off etc. I also have Colin McRae 04 and the original, which I offered to give away last year (see the wheeled games thread for a list of car racing games I offered to give away) but there were no takers apart for a couple, one of which never got back to me after I sent a PM saying okay.

Would think you would be able to use gamepad in Dirt,I use a joystick.Just got the game a couple of weeks ago, excellent fun.I've a lot of driving games and find the joystick a lot easier than the fiddly wee sticks on a gamepad.
