   Just wanted to see if anyone else had Clipdiary revert to day 6 of trial period today as mine did? Long time fan/user of GOTD and I did register it properly during the proper day of the giveaway, had been using it to see how it held up to the company's claims.

   Mine says "Evaluated version - 23 days left". I know I activated it though, otherwise I wouldn't have got the usual "Activation" message coming up in Firefox as usual.

   Actually that browser "Activation" message is more of a "Activation process has completed" rather than "Activation was successful".

   I've seen several times where the Activation definitely did not run or was made to deliberately fail - and the message is always that the Activation was "successful".

   The only way to tell is to run the software and look for an obvious "Registered" message in an about box, or wherever the program decides to display that it is registered.

   Alternatively the lack of a trial message or countdown or the presence of nag screens is a good way to tell the program is registered.

   Usually I do check the "About" bit to make sure the programs are registered, but I guess I didn't this time. Never mind, the saying "Google is your friend" is never truer, I have found the last free version of Clipdiary, so I am happy again, lol.

    I had the same thing happened, I activated it, and suddenly it reverted to trial.
    I wrote to them and to this site too, but nobody bothered to respond.
    I'm wondering if they do this on purpose, have some not activate in the hopes that you'll be hooked and will pay for the full version.

    Not I, I've uninstalled it.

    The funny thing is, zenwan, I would have paid for this software, it was that valuable to me! And, I have purchased a few GOTD programs that I just couldn't do without (Evernote, Alt Desk, Daniusoft among others), and this would have been added to the growing list. (I wish I could have purchased Star Burn, but I haven't got a spare US$500, lol. More like NZ$900.)

    I too, wrote to them and got no answer. Funny that that is now 3 of us, I'm sure there must be more. This is the first time it has happened to me, hope it is the last. Lucky I found the free version.

    By the way, I loved your 'Bi bi Clip Diary, sez I', gave me a big giggle.

    I owe Clip Diary a big apology, and I'm here to make it. I received a very friendly message from Nikolay Tiushkov, who owns Softvoile, who publish Clip Diary. He fixed the problem for me, it worked immediately.

    I'm really impressed with a company that cares so much about one little user who had a problem with a giveaway, this is certainly a company I'd buy from. Meantime I'll go around recommending this to all my friends.
    I'm one happy and satisfied customer.

    Same here zenwan, a lovely email was waiting for me today too. Totally restored my faith in Softvoile and I am as happy as you are.

    I can second all of your comments, and also add that Softvoile confirmed that they had had several emails from people whose product had reverted to trial unexpectedly. So scottsplace, if you are reading this, hopefully you are sorted now too.
